Who: Lightning and you! Plus one closed prompt!
When: May 3
Where: Osiris' Palace
What: There's a giant bird!
Warnings: None yet
[Lightning has had quite a morning. Waking up to a giant white bird standing over her bed, cooing happily, was both welcoming and confusing. The last time she had seen her companion was when the world was ending. She had said her goodbye's to him then.
And now here he was. The Angel of Valhalla himself. Odin. The chocobo was as happy to see Light as she was to see him. Since Hope had suddenly left, it does her heart good to see something familiar other than the crystal flowers.]
[Open]
[After posting on the network, Lightning has to make sure that her temple grounds weren't littered with things that might attack her visitors. Being a god of death might invite some unsavory visitors. Mostly ghosts, though thankfully anything nasty is confined to the catacombs. Odin follows her around just like back home, checking on the same things she was checking on, anything a normal bird wouldn't do.
When things check out, Light opens the doors and waits for Sora and others. Visitors will see the god, Odin, and the ostrich from hell milling about the garden. Be careful not to fall into the river and stick to the paths.]
[Closed to Pidge]
[When Pidge wakes up, one of the first thing she should notice is a large white bird watching over her. With a soft 'kweeh' he'll just keep watching her until she responds. Preferably with pats to the head and praises on how handsome he is.
Please notice him, little human.]

As long as they don't start forcing their ideals on us, all we can do is tolerate them or interact with them as little as we can. I know there's a few I'm not going out of my way to meet.

[Even if he's had some trouble settling back in to a society mostly at peace, or at least not in constant war, there have been people trying to make the transition easier, or wanting to learn things that come with living on the battlefield.]

I've met a few people who are quite content with this place.

[The shinki are a different issue since they've got nothing to go back to (in theory. There's at least one he's not giving up on) but plenty of them seem to be at least dissatisfied with how things are run in this place.]

I have a feeling that there are people rather happy here. A god I spoke to sounded like she preferred this place to her home.

[Not that he's particuarly interested in elaborating on that unless the conversation goes a direction that means he doesn't have much of a choice. It might be telling that his next words aren't exactly an attempt to follow up on that, either, and he glances over to the chocobo again.]
Seeing something like that appear the same day as someone mentioned getting a cat back only really makes it clearer the kind of differences we have in our own worlds, even just in wildlife.

Odin realizes he's being talked about and fluffs himself up.]
We have cats where I'm from. They just don't look the same as the ones here.

[Still, with a remark like that, it's hard not to want to ask. Shun spares a moment of attention for the fluffing-up chocobo before he returns it to Lightning.]
How different do they look?
