[open] Music, love, and ramen

Who: Sheryl, Barry ([personal profile] very_goodman), and YOU
What: Prayer #15
When: May 3rd, late morning/early afternoon
Where: Outside a ramen shop in the Near Shore
Warnings: this is Sheryl we're talking about

[It all started when Sheryl saw a prayer request right by her temple: to save a store from going out of business after receiving little to no customers in weeks. Either people stop by, or the owner must shut it down. Such is the cutthroat world of business: someone can be on top one day, then get discarded, forgotten about, and replaced by the next. While Sheryl hasn't owned a shop in her life, she knows too well the importance of customers — not just for money, but for bringing a little extra something in the lives of people.

... And that's why she and Barry are right in front of a humble ramen shop, dressed in ridiculous animal outfits. Sheryl being, well, Sheryl, she makes sure to make extra adjustments to her attire, exuding both cuteness and sensuality at the same time because as a performer, she knows too well that sex sells. Meanwhile, Barry can be seen next to her with his guitar, fingers strumming along to create strong riffs.

Buh oh, that's not all; she knows that looks alone can only go so far. A pair of strong, well-trained vocal chords on a professional singer can also do the trick, and she's willing to go the extra mile if that means Miss Sachiko's ramen shop can thrive for at least a few weeks... by improvised choreography. It's hard to tell that her moves are improvised on the spot when her feet glide across the pavement without missing a step as she sings her heart out. Despite the upbeat steps, there's a certain grace to the way she moves her arms and legs, a flair for the dramatics with an extra shimmying of her hips to Barry's guitar sounds.

It's over the top, but like Sheryl says, "go big or go home!"]

(OOC: Both Sheryl and Barry will be responding separately!)

Oh, I see! [She smiles.]

Is it working yet?

So I see. I'm not exactly surprised you have such a following!

Hm. [She nods. "Exponential" sounds ridiculous for something this small. She won't say it, though.]

Not really, but that's hardly your fault, honestly. I don't really like crowded places very much.

I could stay and watch you perform, though, I guess.

Oh? Is that so? To think, I was just about to comment on my awful timing.

[She laughs a little bit.]

[To be fair, she wasn't even trying either time!]

I guess so. I guess I have done surprisingly well.

Well, then, I'm really glad I showed up. [Not just because she likes watching Sheryl, or because of...

um.

but because genuinely she is glad she can make someone happy.]

I should... probably leave you to that.

[She'll stay there and hold down the fort, though. Because that will totally be necessary, right]

It's alright, sometimes these things come up.

I guess I'll see you later, then.
