[Jae-Ha had started this morning out by heading over to the near shore and doing some shopping. He had to buy more clothes, first of all, for various reasons, and then there was something else he was interested in. So, by the time he comes back, he has a variety of bags slung over his arms.

He waits until most of it is taken care of and put away before moving to find the couch that Hazel's sitting on. His fingers are curled loosely into his palms, but his sleeves are long enough that this probably just seems normal as he moves over.]

Come here. [That's his greeting as he sits down next to him, holding his arms out expectantly for Hazel to sit up a bit more.]

[Of course Hazel needs to approve of this picture before Jae-Ha is allowed to keep it, so he leans closer to see - hmm, yes, acceptable.]

Don't count on it. [But the books!! He tosses the magazine carelessly onto the coffee table, like, done with that garbage.] Let's see what ya found.

Do you have that much of a problem with it? I thought you could be my moon.

[Or, really, he just was reminded of sky watching. He laughs, slipping away quickly and moving to get these books. He comes back with the three of them, explaining the double copy in each language and then the one that he heard was at an easier level before passing them over.]

I don't know if they'll actually help, but I thought it might be worth a try.

[What... Don't just say something like that and then leave him here to suffer in shoujo feelings alone. He's a little pinker than before when these books finally arrive, taking them to flip through a bit. Hrm...]

Well, they'll do enough. Thanks. [ugh he had too many dokis to even thank him for books without sounding stilted, god.] How're the letters goin'? How many can ya write now?

[He had to run from his own shoujo, for worry he'd be laughed at. It seems he's safe from that, though, when he notices those pink cheeks and the sudden interest in his own learning. Jae-Ha settles a little closer to him on the couch, reaching over to brush a stray strand of hair back behind Hazel's ear.]

I can write them all. I've been perfecting writing them beautifully, and I think I've finally managed.

[Hey, he's just being a good teacher. There's nothing wrong with that.]

I'll have to see that to really make sure, before ya can move on to more words. Show me sometime.

[razzledazzles]

I can write them right here. [Reaching over, he touches a single finger to Hazel's chest. He can trace them out!]

Anywhere, really. Go on and quiz me. Tell me a letter and I'll write it. [Does Jae-Ha want to be weird about teaching again? Yes, a little.]

[Oh, it's this kink again. Maybe Hazel should start keeping a pen and paper on hand for this, since he would actually like to see Jae-Ha's beautiful handwriting.

But, hmm.] Well, alright— how about M?

[razzledazzles]

Right, M.

[He writes an M nice and slowly. And beautifully, of course. He'll be glad to show Hazel later, when he actually feels like doing real work and not messing around like this. He'll keep following the letters suggested, give him the next one.]

[He's not done? Oh- alright, alright. Now, Hazel has a Brilliant Idea.]

[The next one is W. He's just going to spell out sweetheart, here. Gay.]

[He's spelling a word isn't he!! Oh boy. He finishes the T, and when Hazel seems finished, Jae-Ha leans a little closer.]

Did you have me spell something? What was it?

[Look at him... Who knew illiteracy could be so adorable? Hazel is amazed, frankly.]

Just somethin' that reminds me of ya. [heh, he's so smooth] That was "sweetheart."

[razzledazzles]

[What the hell, gay... Jae-Ha seems completely ecstatic about this before a few moments pass and his still-happy face looks a little more curious.]

Does "sweetheart" begin with "M?"

[Ah, caught not being as smooth as previously advertised. Hahaha... ha...!!]

Well, I hadn't worked all the kinks out at first, so never mind that.

[razzledazzles]

That's less impressive.

[Not as smooth... but he's very endeared by that. Jae-Ha leans closer, lightly brushing a thumb over the corner of Hazel's lips as he kisses his cheek on the other side.] I also bought more clothing. It's a charming look for you. Have I said this? [Only fifty times.]

[churchbelle]

That's downright cold. [Only that cute kiss saves Jae-Ha from getting sassed right now. Hazel moves to drape an arm over his shoulder with a light laugh.]

I think ya mentioned it. You're buyin' yourself things just to put me in 'em, now?

[razzledazzles]

It's much easier to dress outside of my usual style when I can picture you wearing it.

[Suddenly he has a taste for modern fashion.] The hair decoration really was spur of the moment. If it's uncomfortable, you don't have to keep wearing it. I'm happy enough with my picture.

[Hmm, the kink. Fortunately Hazel is into this one, too. An oversized shirt is so passe, but Jae-Ha's shirt that happens to be oversized on him is exciting.

He tilts his head to make the decoration jingle again. There it is.]

I'll leave it for a lil while. Y'did pay for it outta some sweet urge, after all.

It's a beautiful thing. Look, the moon reminds me of you, and the colors are blue and green...

[It's perfectly reasonable to have the urge to buy it!]

[The moon... That's so gay. He'll leave the thing in his hair for now.]

Why the moon? Just from a couple late nights?

[Jae-Ha's hand touches lightly to his own mouth as he thinks. He remembers one particular night of the two, where he'd looked up at Hazel and the moon behind him and thought it was such a stunningly beautiful thing. He's really been in denial for a while, hasn't he...]

[Hmm... sounds even gayer. Hazel considers, then tugs Jae-Ha's shirt to lay all over this couch with him, since he doesn't have a gay thing to compare him to right now.

And also, a second late because he's a dummy,] Grab one of those books for me.

[razzledazzles]

[He's tugged and then asked for the book? Jae-Ha laughs, reaching with his arm to graze the edge of a book and pull it closer. With his long arms, he somehow manages, holding it in front of Hazel's face as he situates himself here on the couch.]

Will I get to hear how much you've learned? Tell me what it says.

[churchbelle]

That's the plan. [The plan was story time all along. Whatever this novel is... Saiyuki isn't real enough for solid foundations of literature, so Hazel doesn't recognize it, whatever. He will settle back here to read this mystery book to Jae-Ha, haltingly in parts but getting there...

Except for when he reads a sentence that is absolute and total nonsense, and has to pause and look back at it again.] That can't be how that's s'posed to go.

You got rather far without any issue! Perhaps that sentence there contains what they call "double meanings"?

[That's not really... what they call homophones, but he'll pretend. He's on his stomach as much as he can be, half over Hazel and with his legs curled up at the knee behind him so he doesn't go over the couch. This way he can have his head at Hazel's chest and not get in the way of reading, you see.]

Maybe if you skip it, there's context.

Hmm, I'm lookin' at it, but I don't know where they'd be gettin' somethin' different.

[It's a mystery... Well, he's not going to go find the dictionary, so whatever. After his third try reading this sentence, he shifts to hold the book with one hand, propping it against the back of the couch, so he can use his other hand to play with Jae-Ha's bangs. Hello.]

Maybe that one's just a trick put in here to make a fool outta me.
