What: Zero ~~loses his shit~~ falls to his bloodlust

He digs at his throat obscuring the tattoo. The pain a welcome change to the raw hunger clawing at his throat making it impossible to even think! His stomach churns and his form convulses bringing him to his knees. His hands slam forward breaking the fall as his instincts single out the faint sound of a heart beating in the distance. He covers his ears to block out the sound but it doesn't go away!

Starvation.

It turned vampires mad. And Zero had been starving himself for far too long.

His body screams in agony, forcing his instincts to the surface as hunger grips him in its claws forcing his heart rate up, the sound mixing with the steady one in the distance. It was close. If he--

"Stop it!"

He grits his teeth and his breathing falls into ragged breaths. He's losing control. Beneath the blood and raw skin, his tattoo begins to glow and his eyes pulse a deep red. He's slipping, falling off the ledge of sanity and the monster lurking inside raises its head and tests the will that always kept it at bay, and for the first time it come away with a grin. The Hunter lost more than his memories, he lost his strength to defy it.

Time passes and his throat begins to heal while that beating heart echoes in his mind drawing the vampire toward the source, a wide grin marring its lips when its meal falls within its sights.

The weak struggles go ignored along with the presence of another. He feels him there but the vampire dismisses him. He continues to gulp down her blood, the feel of it sliding down his throat too much of an intoxication to focus on anything but the girl in his arms who didn't have nearly enough to satisfy his thirst.

Explosions flash across his palms, natural as breathing. Does this guy have some kind of power fueled by blood? That's nothing unique. But what if its strengths, its limitations? He'll be able to wrap his head around the whole vampire concept eventually, but for now he treats it as any hero would treat an unknown Quirk.

"I said quit it!" Bakugou yells, taking no strategic approach as he moves in to tap Zero on the shoulder with the intent to slug him in the face if he turns around. "Kousaka, can't you fight back?!"

(You did just fine that night we answered that prayer. You were stronger than I thought! ...to vocalize such compliments, he'd need more reason than just watching her scream.)

She's very quickly being drained of blood, and there's extremely little she can do about it. Stronger than Bakugou thought isn't that strong when you compare her to a vampire. She's normal, no quirks in her world, not nearly strong enough to fight off somebody like this.

So now, she's stuck. She has to trust that Bakugou'll manage to get her free somehow. "... I can't..." It's impossible for her to keep her eyes open anymore.

The vampire was too far gone to pay attention to anything but an outright physical attack, let alone when her heart suddenly stutters at his attention, catching his interest like nothing else could. He doesn't even bother shrugging off that hand and instead focuses on chasing down that sound that quickly began to fracture as the heart struggled to keep pumping.

"Can't you fucking hear me?" This time, Bakugou can't wait. He can feel Kousaka slipping away and damned if he's going to lose someone he has the chance to rescue. (Damned if he's going to lose his shinki, if he'd just accept his damn position in the world.) "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Can he shove this guy off her? Or is he about to tangle with someone out of his league?

She can feel herself slipping fast and honestly there's not too much she can do. She's weaker than a vampire- hell she's considerably weaker than Bakugou. The most she can do is give a weak attempt to push Zero's hands off of her.

It's not nearly enough.

Not nearly. Only a full frontal assault will garner his attention at this point, lost as he is in the blood-haze. Words, at this point, don't have a chance of piercing through the veil of his mind as he focuses solely on the girl in his arms while her pathetic god looks on, his words all mute to him.

[ OOC: go ahead and kick his ass! ]

"Listen to me, damn it!" Her inability to fight is his fault. He knew she was from a world without Quirks and didn't teach her a single thing. It's enraging. "Come on, stupid Kousaka! Kousaka Honoka! Kaki!"

Whatever that incantation was that made her transform last time -- he shouts a few more variations until it works, turning her into a microphone so that Bakugou can get a sucker punch in when Zero suddenly has no juicy neck to bite into.

And suddenly Honoka's body is replaced with a microphone that's clattering into the ground. Usually she would complain, but she's feeling pretty woozy after losing that much blood to Zero. She's quietly hanging out on the floor until Bakugou picks her up.

The warm body cradled in his hands suddenly transforms and Zero turns to growl his anger and meets a punch straight to the face instead. He slams back, thrown back a few feet and slowly rises back to his feet, red eyes focused on the god as he wipes at his mouth, licking off the blood.

Okay, you've got his attention.

Bakugou takes advantage of Zero's recovery time to grab Honoka -- Kaki -- and take a fighting stance. Holding her out like a sword looks dumb. Launching her like a grenade is downright stupid. He'll have to be responsible and keep a gentle grip.

"Can you hear me?" he asks her quietly. Can she feel his thoughts the way he can sense her feelings? There's plenty of room to train in his temple, if he can just find the patience to be a teacher.

And now the vampire: "Picking on helpless girls is real low, shitface. Got some last words?"

Last? Hardly. The vampire launches itself at him without a word, its razor sharp talons ready to tear through him and his shinki.

Bakugou tucks Honoka into his back pocket so she's not part of the confrontation. Weird, but sorry-not-sorry; she probably needs time to rest after being hurt. He prepares to counter with an explosion to knock Zero off-guard so he can swing in with a right-handed punch.
