Who: Sharak and Konzen, Sharak and the other hot blond too many Sanzos just too many
What: Two grown ass adults at Capyper Land, both swear they have a good reason for being there. Also: Sanzo party without the party and with extra Sanzo flavouring
When: May 9th, May 8th late afternoon, May 10th evening
Where: Capyper Land, Kanzeon's temple, does Tokyo even have dive bars
Warnings: Because they're at an amusement park for children and the happiest place on Earth, we must include warnings for gun violence, swearing, mention of child death and reckless child endangerment. But like, in a fun way.
[It's a courtesy call, really. Genjo had been pretty worn out after their chat the other night and Sharak wants to see how he's doing. After their discussion, she's pretty sure she knows where to find him too... And so she walks up to Kanzeon's temple and lets herself into the front yard.
Even if she can't find the Genjo she's thinking of, she wouldn't mind speaking to the other one. It really depends on which one she finds first.]
[She'd been asked to look into a childish spirit wandering around a theme park looking miserable so... Here she is. Sharak still isn't keen on this "God" business, but the best way to learn what's going on is occasionally to play along. For now, anyway. "Aditi" is everyone's mother and so of course she cares for lost children in need of protection. Sharak, on the other hand, is certainly no mother... But she's not opposed to protecting children anyway.
For now Sharak is stood by the wall outside a restaurant opposite a particularly large rollercoaster, watching the children run around screaming with an indulgent look in her eye. Maybe this isn't so bad.]

But oh okay he is relatively on top of things. That's promising. Sharak takes a look at the map too and points at one of the locations.]
We'll start at the hedge maze and then work our way around. Look for signs of odd behaviour and report to me before making contact.
[Just gonna start... giving orders...]
no subject
Fine.
[ And he starts to walk in his usual clipped pace. ]
So are you a god or a shinki?
no subject
Apparently, I'm Aditi. ["Apparently". No, she's still not going to seriously call herself that.] The mother of all gods, which someone probably thought was funny.

Kids rush by with oversized plush-toys and fistfuls of cotton candy in their hands. Konzen expertly dodges them, as though he's rather good at predicting how rascals move. ]
I take it you're new.
[ Either that, or Genjo hasn't met her, yet. He mentioned the other sanzo priests, and she wasn't amongst them. ]
no subject
It's been around four days. I'm getting the hang of things.
no subject
Are you, really?
no subject
[Tilts her head when she looks at him.]
You think I'm missing something?
no subject
[ He keeps it vague. What was that about stirring up shit? Though really, Konzen can't be bothered. He doesn't really have much of a handle on things, but then again, he's not that good at pretending and he's tired of bending over for the powers of heaven.
He glances pointedly at her sutra. ]
What's your story?
no subject
[A scarred, female priest with one of the Founding Scriptures of Heaven and Earth. Surely there's no interesting story behind that at all.]
You?
no subject
I'm ... [ stuck? Dead? In limbo? He's definitely not Helios. ] I don't know what I am anymore.
no subject
[She had a rough night, forgive her.]
See, that sounds a lot more interesting than my story. I know exactly what I am.
no subject
Nothing interesting about it. It's bullshit.
[ Because really, he's been pulled out of where he's supposed to be. It's left him feeling thoroughly confused. The promise of starting over would be much too naive, wouldn't it?
They reach the closest part in the map, an arcade. He peers in to the noisy dark place with flashing lights and loud teenagers and wonders whether they can just skip this place...]
no subject
... Do you want to tell me about it?
[Granted they just met, so he has plenty of reason not to. Still, she's a (more than a) little curious. Sharak follows Konzen's gaze into the arcade and frowns for a second before starting to walk in. Better to just get it over with.]
no subject
At least one thing is clear from the start: she's got it much more together than some sanzos who shall remain unnamed. Maybe it's because she's a god and not subjected to a memory wipe. Some people take to that mind-gap better than others, but Konzen's seen its more damaging side-effects.
He reluctantly follows her into the arcade, past a gun-shoot out game where you point a plastic pistol at the screen and blow people's brains out. The kid behind the gun is quite good at it.
It seems to be a strange sort of place to talk about something as personal as what happened to him before he arrived here. ]
...What do you think happens to people when they die?
no subject
Konzen gets a slightly amused look over her shoulder for that question.
I'm a Buddhist priest, so... [Samsara. Reincarnation. Another chance to hopefully screw up less or perhaps face the consequences for your past karma. But-] It's not something I think about too much. If you focus on what comes after death, you forget about living the life you already have.
[Holy sermons... But ah, this fits in with what her thoughts were when she first heard about Konzen.]
no subject
The cheerful beat of the dancing game drowns out into the background noise as they pass the girls and some flying vehicle pod thing, and a drumming game (how many of these things are out there?) ]
I never thought about death much before. I guess it was irrelevant. [ Being immortal and all that. ]
no subject
[Being immortal and all that, yes. That flying game actually looks kind of fun- no, she's way too big to fit even if her dignity could bear it.]
But it comes as a shock to plenty of humans too.
no subject
You've met him then, I take it.
[ He doesn't think he needs to elaborate.
(Also, he would totally be flabbergasted if Sharak tries to stuff herself into the flying pod). ]
no subject
If you mean Genjo, then of course. He's a very popular man.
[So well-liked. How could she not seek him out.]
no subject
Hn.
[ Konzen's not sure about popular. Goku likes Genjo enough, though. ]
What has he said about our ... [ connection? relation? ] affiliation?
no subject
... Not much. [Just that it was a "problem".] Konzen, nephew of Kanzeon Bosatsu. Son Goku has been put in your care here.
That's all I know about you. [Anything else is a suspicion that she's putting together on her own.]
no subject
Hmph.
[ Is all he's got to say about that. He's pretty sure he never told Genjo about his connection to the goddess, but it's not like he made a secret of it either.
And by the way, that's not true: Konzen doesn't like Genjo Sanzo either. The feeling is probably mutual.]
So what's up with you lot, anyway? [ All you sanzos, is what he means. ]
no subject
You're going to have to be a little more specific if you want a real answer, you know.
[Seriously "what's up" with any group Sharak could be associated with...]
no subject
You sanzo priests, [ he says impatiently. Because obviously she should know what he's talking about, right?
Meanwhile, they're headed toward another location where strange things have been reported: the ferris wheel. ]
no subject
The Sanzo priests are the most highly ranked monks in Shangri'la. They guard the Founding Scriptures of Heaven and Earth.
[Looks up at the ferris wheel as she gives this dry recital.] That's "what's up" with us, I suppose.
