[Lightning has finally decided that it was high time to do a prayer with her shinki. Natsuru is picked first since she’s the more skittish of the two, and it’ll be their gods first prayer as well. The prayer entailed helping a failing business get back into business. So, Lightning took it. Too bad the place seemed to be exactly what she didn’t want to work. Lightning loves to eat, but how is she supposed to sell sweets?

At least she has the amusement of sticking her shinki in an outfit that would detract from her own uniform.

Come one, come all to this shop and harass these two young women. Or just buy stuff and help them get through this.]

[She nods before her eyes are drawn to the little heart thing on the girls head. Why...is it glowing?]

That's an interesting accessory.

[soothes]

[ It moves too! Like an antenna almost. Freyja herself blinks, confused before her eyes gaze upwards at her rune and chuckles. ]

It's not so much of an accessory since I was born with it. It's called a rune!

[savioring]

[... this girl gets stranger and stranger.]

What's it supposed to do?

[soothes]

Do? Well... it reacts to my emotions mostly. It'll glow if I'm really happy or excited and it'll dull if I'm feeling sad.

[ Hmm! ] It's really the only difference between Winderemeans and Earthlings.

[ That and the fact she'll only live til thirty but details. ]

[savioring]

[That sounds like a huge inconvenience if anyone could use that to read your emotions so easily.

Huh?] Winderemeans?

[What kind of species name is that?]

[soothes]

[ Most can control their own runes to hide their feelings or reactions. Freyja, as being middle aged in her society, should be able to do the same but she simply doesn't see a point in hiding how she feels. ]

Righto! We're a species of people much like humans aside from our runes. Our planet is called Winderemere and is in a pretty remote part of the galaxy.

[savioring]

[So this girl isn't human, she talks weird, there's a sparkly emotion heart on her head, and now Lightning is wondering just what she's gotten herself into.]

So you're an alien.

[soothes]

[ Hitting the nail on the head pretty hard with that one. ]

Um... y-yes, I am! Especially here on Earth now.

[savioring]

I think we all are. Gods aren't exactly human.

[And they all definitely come from different worlds.]

[soothes]

But even if we all from faraway worlds or different versions of Earth, we're Earthling Gods now. Which is still a little strange to think about.

[ Which was putting it lightly. ]

[savioring]

Earth is pretty strange. Why do they need so many gods?

[soothes]

It is a pretty big planet. I suppose each culture just had their own way of looking at things.

[savioring]

It's smaller than Gran Pulse, but has more people and wars caused by their many religions.

[soothes]

Mm... I guess everyone has an opinion they think is both right and the best one. So much so they are willing to fight for it.

[ She knows how it is. That is what her home is doing now, fighting for the "best" of the galaxy based on what they think is right. ]

[savioring]

[Yes, but did you have creatures called Fal'Cie take over innocent people and monsters to be used in a petty grudge match in order to awaken an almighty being so they could have their Creator again? Because that was a thing back home.]

And innocent people get caught in the crossfire.

[soothes]

[ Her fight pits against her against the Var -- an infection that brings anyone under control and renders them in a primal berserk state to cause as much damage as possible. All because some believe themselves to be the successors of an old culture that gave birth to the galaxy. ]

That why we have to do our best for them why we're here! Even the ones that don't believe in us, we have to protect them...

[savioring]

[These two could have some awful stories to tell each other.]

We can't help those who don't want to be helped. Always remember that when protecting others.
