[Lightning has finally decided that it was high time to do a prayer with her shinki. Natsuru is picked first since she’s the more skittish of the two, and it’ll be their gods first prayer as well. The prayer entailed helping a failing business get back into business. So, Lightning took it. Too bad the place seemed to be exactly what she didn’t want to work. Lightning loves to eat, but how is she supposed to sell sweets?

At least she has the amusement of sticking her shinki in an outfit that would detract from her own uniform.

Come one, come all to this shop and harass these two young women. Or just buy stuff and help them get through this.]

[She had to put her cup down to laugh. Sorry Lightning, it's hard and not hard to picture. She might be picturing her threatening someone with a coffee cup.]

At least Misaki is getting some amusement from this.]

[She did! But Lightning, threatening with a coffee cup...truly, she's lived an interesting life.]

And very effectively too! I don't think I could do what you did. It sounds...like a hard thing to do. Exciting, and rewarding but...hard.

[This life right now is a lot more amusing than she thought it would be.]

It has to be done by someone. I have the right qualifications for it.

To threaten people with anything on hand? Or to guide the dead?

[Her voice is a touch wry, and she takes a moment to take a nibble of her pastry. Otherwise Lightning decide she's hyper enough without sugar.]

[From her expression she's not kidding. She was a soldier after all.]

Hmm. But is it really that fun?

[She smiles, shaking her head, after taking a bite, chewing and swallowing.]

It's pretty rude of me to ask that though, so...sorry. I'm just blathering.

It's not supposed to be fun.

[She just does the job because apparently the old god didn't want to do it anymore.]

It's fine. There's not a lot of customers right now.

[She sighs.]

I guess. But you might do better with your job if you enjoy it, right?

[She hums quietly, and takes another bite of the pastry. This really is nice...]

Who would enjoy their job working with the dead like that?

Most people wouldn't.

[She shrugs, offering a smile.]

But maybe they'd be happy that they...I don't know, offered them some form of peace?

only if they want peace. I've sent plenty of pissed off people back into the world because even if they were mad at everything, they were good people.

Especially if they want to keep living.
