006 | High School Debut

Who: Everyone!
What: Substitute teaching
When: All day April 5
Where: A large public school in Tokyo
Summary: There are too many teachers sick and the Far Shore residents need to help fill in!

For some reason or another, many teachers have gotten sick just as the new school year is starting! In a panic, the school is seeking out every substitute teacher they can find, which is still not enough, and so the gods have to step in as reinforcements. And the Heavens are insisting on Far Shore residents helping strictly because this sickness seems so darn suspicious.

So anyone who looks old enough is being asked to step in as a substitute teacher and anyone who looks young enough is being asked to blend in as a new student, all to help the school and find out what exactly is causing this mysterious illness plaguing only the teachers of this school. There are many subjects open to teach and all Far Shore residents are expected to act as if they properly belong in this school while conducting their investigation. That means you'll have to teach properly or attend classes, depending on which role you've taken on.

Some gods might even find it useful to try and get information out of students by possessing one of their own, therefore guaranteeing the trust of the others around them. It's all up to you how you choose to investigate!

Newcomers will find the following note in their pockets as they are transferred to the school:

Greetings and apologies for the strange introduction.

I am sure you have many questions and concerns, but you have appeared at a very inconvenient time. Please attempt to help us, if you can, and we will reward you to the best of our abilities.

If you have any questions, you can seek out the counselor. Too many students underestimate what a good counselling session can do towards helping to alleviate their fears and uncertainties.

Kindest regards,
☼ Amaterasu ☼

Classes

Being a big school, there are dozens of different subjects available. As teachers, you can practically teach anything you would like to, and as students you are facing a constant stream of completely different kinds of information. Maybe the school needs to tone it down a bit on how many different subjects they offer...

Hallways

The hallways are always a great place to mingle and get to know the other students in the school. You'll see all sorts in the hallways, ranging from the beautiful girls being followed by their fanboys all the way to the delinquents who are promptly making their way away from the classrooms for the rest of the day. Hopefully somebody around here will be able to give you a heads up as to what's going on.

Lunch

Lunchtime is the easiest time to gather gossip and information. Whether you are staying in the classroom with a bento or heading to the cafeteria to wrestle for some bread or spending your lunch in the faculty room with the rest of the not-sick teachers, you will find that both the students and the faculty are more prone to chatting during lunch. And a lot of them talk about a curse laid on the school because of the late principal...

Counselling

Surprisingly enough, there is a white-robed shinki in the counselling office of the school, and the golden chrysanthemum of Amaterasu can be found on her tunic as well as on the door to her small personal office. Oddly, all of the other students and faculty keep passing the door by, but the counselling shinki simply continues to smile gently all the same.

FINAL BOSS

Turns out there is something causing the illness in the teachers, and it's an exceedingly large ayakashi, one so large that no single god could possibly take it down. You'll have to all work together to weaken it enough for the rending to work on it.

The battle for the FINAL BOSS will be posted on the OOC date of July 17, all threads involving destroying him should go there when it is posted. All other events leading up to the FINAL BOSS battle should slowly build to figuring out that an ayakashi is at work.

In Summary:
  • Blend in
  • Make sure to go to class
  • Don't forget lunch!
  • Investigate the illness
  • Seek counselling if you need it
  • Defeat the FINAL BOSS
  • Have fun~

Closed to Kido. Before the assignment.

[W...well here he is with his new shinki. He worries about a lot of things, and especially about what happened to Kacchan, but a hero has to keep smiling. Or at least keep from turning into a worried wreck.

He has to at least try to make a good impression on his new Shinki- but when he sees her he's bombarded with more than a hundred deaths, all various and different and his head is swimming-

It takes him a while to recover before approaching her.]

Excuse me, are you Kido Tsubomi?

Classes

[Deku didn't go and possess anybody, because he finds that seriously weird. Possession, residing in somebody else's body... He'll take a pass on that. Besides, he's still obviously a student.

There are no hero classes here, and he's kind of disappointed. But then again, this Japan clearly doesn't have pro heroes like he's used to. On the other hand, Deku is perfectly comfortable and pretty good at those English classes. So if he notices that nobody in the class knows what's wrong with the sentence he'll sheepishly raise his hand.]

Lunch

[He settles at a table, nearby a few of the other kids and just overhears. He's used to being at the edges of people's friend groups. After all, he was useless, quirkless Deku for a long time before he earned One for All.

But... did he seriously hear that right? Was that-]

[Being the god of Oratory, Wit, Literature, and Poetry, Sonic thought it was only natural that he should take up the role of Theater instructor. It wasn't far fetched for ninjas to take up the role of another in other to blend in with their surroundings, and he did so enjoy being the center of attention. So in his down time when he doesn’t have classes, he could be found skulking about the theater, standing on stage and reading through play scripts]

Love is merely a madness; and, I tell you, deserves as well a dark house and a whip as madmen do; and the reason why they are not so punish'd and cured is that the lunacy is so
ordinary that the whippers are in love too.

[As for classes? "Students" will find themselves paired up with each other, tasked with mimicking each other's movements, much like in a mirror. He tries to pair everyone up, but unfortunately, there just so happens to be an odd number of people in the class. It looks like someone has to partner with him.]

Since you’re the student, you’ll be mimicking me, of course. [He places his hand over his chest, eyes closed and smirking to himself] This is for you to practice your ability to act - [he flicks his bangs out of his face] My skills are already fine-tuned and honed to perfection.

[Sonic doesn’t spend a lot of time in the hallways, but in between class periods, he hangs around near the doorway of the theater, intently watching students pass by. One could almost say he’s lurking. Listening. Gathering intelligence.]

[Of course Sonic brought a homemade bento. His lunch is made up of a pair of oinigiri, a portion of bean sprouts, salted salmon, carrots and broccoli, and tamagoyaki. He sits off to the side, picking at his lunch until talk of the curse of the late principal picks up.]

[Yuuki's totally starstruck.

Classes were spent listening intently to the lessons and taking down notes, not at all concentrating on the task she was assigned. By the time she's in the hallways, she's got her books hugged to her chest, looking absolutely delighted.
]

Aah, Elsa's school is great, but being in classes like this... It's so much fun!

[Nostalgic, even, although she can't really put her finger on why.

It might be a good time to remind her what she's here for.
]

[Lunch]

[SO I GUESS THEY'RE ACTUALLY HERE TO INVESTIGATE OR SOMETHING, which is why Yuuki heads right over to the cafeteria, buys some bread, and hunkers down to nibble on it while she listens to a nearby group of girls chattering away. If she overhears something good, she's confident she can slip into the conversation herself, but until she's sure it's worth doing, she'll content herself with... well, lunch.

[As he always did in class, Takuto is staring out the window and carelessly eavesdropping on his classmates. He actually turns around a few times, thinking he hears a familiar voice. But anyone stranger he makes eye contact with is causes him to turn back to face the window with a stammered apology and a blush.]

But he might need some help extricating himself from the situation so he can keep investigating... or before he ends up investigating a bit too intimately.]

Lunch

[The most important period of the day! Some of the boys in his class had mentioned a funeral for the principal, but as if it were some kind of ghost story. It sounds like just the thing he'd want to check out first hand.]

So does anyone else want to check out the principal's office?

He does listen to what is being taught but he doesn't forget why he was there. Still, being in one place and unable to talk for a portion of time wasn't really giving him much leeway to.

He listens to whatever it is the teacher is saying, then his gaze starts to wander a bit.]

[Hallways]

[Unlike while in the classrooms, Flynn had more opportunities for information gathering out here. Students milled about chatting with one another or heading to another part of the building. He wanders to and fro to find students who didn't look too busy to ask them about the teachers. Surely someone here knew of something.]

[counselling]

[So, Yona has no idea what is going on. She has never seen anyplace like this before or clothes like this before or just anything at all ever honestly. What even is a counselor? The regular students aren't making any eye contact with her and only offer passing remarks or a distracted hint towards the office when she approaches them.

She needs help to find the help, basically.

She can be found anywhere and everywhere in the school after she gives up on asking for directions searching in vain. In the stairwell, random courtyards climbing trees, walking into busy classroom in the middle of a lecture, and so on. It would probably be a good idea to stop her from walking right out of the school gates too.]

[lunch]

[Yona is holding a carton of milk. She is staring at the carton of milk.]

How do I open this?

[Asking about some negative energy? That can come after she figures out the wonders of the modern world.]

[hallways; closed]

[A little after talking to the counselor but before deciding to help the school there is a much more pressing concern at the front of Yona's mind: her two shinki. The issue is the faces are ones she recognizes and she has not even begun to process that fact. She's on a wild hunt through the halls for any flashes of white or green.]

Hallways 1/Lunch

[For much of the day, anyone entering the faculty room for any reason might notice a poster on one wall, a pair of hands holding some sort of sprouting plant in a mound of soil with the words "the future is in your hands" in overly intricate kanji. There's something of the Far Shore about it, and if you come to investigate while no one's paying attention, something interesting might happen.

Because this poster is Kurama, transformed into a fairly purposeful piece of art, and he plans to sit here all day and listen to any gossip the staff might produce while the Heavens' planted substitute teachers aren't in the room.]

Hallways 2

[Loitering in the faculty room has provided enough information that Kurama feels confident roaming the halls for new tidbits. He draws the occasional double-take from actual students, unsure whether he's a girl in a boy's uniform or just very pretty, but for the most part he's blending in just as well as everyone else. If you run into him, feel free to share intel, strike up a conversation (perhaps about how weird this mission is), or mistake him for a regular student.]

Eiji smiled brightly at the class of students whom he had been introduced as a student teacher who would be helping out with the English class since their usual teacher had been among the many who were unfortunate enough to succumb to the mysterious illness. A matter that was the primary reason he was here. Sure, it was issued by the Heavens but people were in trouble and there was something he could do to help with it.

As the class progresses and he helps with teaching it, he doesn't forget to keep an open ear out for potential information.

"Would anyone like to start us off on the next page?"

[Lunch]

Now that lunchtime was on, Eiji could do a lot more in terms of information gathering. He had stopped by the faculty office to eat his own small lunch, engaging in conversation with the staff that hadn't fallen victim to mysterious illness that had been so widespread. And they apparently thought the late principle was connected to it somehow.

That did sound like something to look into.

[Everything about this arrival is alarming. The note, the lack of memory, the feeling that someone important is closeby— it's suffocating, and for a long while, Jae-Ha prefers to wander around. This doesn't answer any more of his questions. He's lost, invisible to the real students and unsure of what was happening, so he makes his way to counseling for an explanation.

It doesn't help much. By the time he's out, he moves briskly down the hallways, trying to escape this approaching feeling he doesn't quite understand. He's distracted. At least he's not too rude— if he does run into someone, he'll stop and apologize while looking a little surprised.]

[After he's had time to mellow out a bit, Jae-Ha can be found in places instead of just essentially running away. If he's not speaking helpful advice beside the adult gods teaching classes, then he's lingering in odd ways. In this particular class, he enters and sits on top of one of the students' desks, crossing one leg casually over the other.]

    What have I missed?

[Kija... has never been to school. He can't be certain of this, naturally, being a shinki, but he has a pretty good feeling that sitting silently at a desk with a bunch of other people sitting silently at desks is something he'd at least consider familiar, if he'd done it before.

So: what is this???? What is he doing?? He spends a good several minutes staring at each other student in turn, until one of them finally notices him, at which point he holds up a notebook, on which he has written a very simple message:]

DID YOUR CHAIR COME WITH A CUSHION?

[Listen, he's uncomfortable in this plastic chair. This is the best thing to sort of pass notes about, isn't it??]

[Memories, questions, confusion - all of that aside, Kija has taken away one thing about this endeavor to figure out what's wrong with this place above all others: try to blend in. He's trying very hard, but it's harder than he apprecites when one of his arms is abnormally large and covered in white scales.

In the hallway he can be found either: trying to tug his sleeve down unsuccessfully over his big hand, or standing completely still with his hand behind his back as a group of students have a conversation right in front of him. They don't notice him at all, and he's pretty sure that's because of his incredible stealth. Looking at him during this will get him to speak, when the ordinary students have moved on:]
Why must you stare so persistently? Are you trying to ruin everything?

[Posing as a student to find out what was causing the sudden epidemic of sick teachers? Sounds like spywork to Sheryl, but she intends to blend in with the crowd and see what this school has to offer. Nevermind the fact that her pink hair — or is blonde? who knows — and her thick, queen bee aura are making her stand out like a sore thumb.

Or the fact that she's about to cause a lot of shenanigans, for better or worse.

A rather large and brightly colorful spider inches ever so slowly above Sheryl's head as she's jotting down notes on her notebook — and by "notes", it's really just random lyrics and a few doodles. Her blue eyes slowly meet the critter... and then, she lets out a piercing scream.]

Kyaaaaaa! A spider! A spider! DIE!

[One by one, other students take notice and thus, a cacophony of screams ensue. Sheryl barges out of her seat, grabbing a textbook off her desk to chuck it at the spider. Hard. So hard that her throw causes the textbook to make a heavy thud if it lands on something (or someone). Better hope you're not within her path...]

B: Hallways
[Option 1: Sheryl has gained herself some fans. That in itself is nothing new. Back when she was a famous pop star in Frontier, she caused a commotion during her first visit to Mihoshi Academy by attracting the attention of countless, screaming teenage boys. What is new, however, is that her pack consisted of nine followers: six boys and three girls. As luck would have it, they all know who Euterpe is.

She can be seen strolling in the hallways like she owns the place, chatting happily with her followers and occasionally sending flirty comments in their direction. The moment she sees a fellow Far Shore resident, she points to her eyes with two fingers, then at the person with an expectant look. It's a silent signal: we need to talk.

Option 2: Being a goddess has its perks. Although what she's about to do is morally dubious in terms of finding intel, something that she's had her own reservations on at first, her entire body disappears the moment she rests her hand upon a tall, muscular delinquent. Sorry follower, but your body is hers — for now.

If you stumble upon this scene, you may be able to see a baffled as hell Sheryl in that boy's body patting down her now nonexistent chest, then groping her own ass...]

C: Lunch
[Multitasking is what Sheryl is doing at lunchtime, listening to the conversations of her female classmates and finishing up her salad. So far just idle chit-chat over boy problems, but it's enough for a forlorn look to appear briefly across her face. Oh Alto, how she still misses him...

But soon, her expression shifts into grim confusion when she hears a depressing anecdote. Something about a curse and the late principal... the longer she eavesdropped in their talks, the worried she became. Having heard enough, she rises from her seat, making a quick beeline to dump her now empty salad bowl in the garbage. There's a determined yet tense look over her features once she approaches a Far Shore resident, fingers curling a little to her sides.]

Have you heard what happened to the principal?

[Classes]

[Before slipping in with this class thing, Shun spent just long enough with the counsellor to figure out what the hell was going on, not being particularly given to following vague instructions on mysterious god notes. Being here at all raised enough questions that barely got answers, and he's still trying to work through the information - gods, "shinki", the hollow shell of a being he'd been issued like a piece of equipment. But if he's going to get time to reconcile with it all, it's not going to be in this place, so it's in both his and the school's best interests to sort this out as quickly as possible.

Rather than slip in as a student, he's taken advantage of the fact that he's somewhat younger than he looks but certainly doesn't act it to claim himself old enough to be a teacher, which means there's probably going to be quite a few students getting lessons from someone who really isn't much older than them.

Luckily(?), he's elected to take some kind of self-defense class that was apparently a thing this school had, which mostly consists of him supervising students throwing each other around and making sure nobody cracks anybody's skull. It'd probably help if it didn't seem like most of the people here were just ignoring his presence entirely, which is why his attention is drawn in particular to the ones he notices looking straight at him, whether student or teacher.

Whichever one approaches, they're likely to be met with a somewhat suspicious eye and a faint scowl.]

If you want something, say it. [His tone is deep and serious, which may help his case if this is someone asking how the hell someone his age is supposed to be a teacher.]

[Hallways]

[The feeling of walking down school corridors drums up a sickening sort of deja vu in Shun, a continual reminder of why it's been such a long time since he's been in one. He keeps it down with a set jaw and an authoritative stride through the corridors, though there's not exactly many people paying enough attention to appreciate it, and keeps right on walking, headed for the outside areas of the school to see if there's any sign of what's causing this supposed sickness out there. Also to get out of the crowded corridors, because even if the students aren't seeing him so much, his eyes are darting between them rapidly, gauging for risks (however unlikely) in an instinct that's impossible to quell, and the noise level and inability to distinguish single sources of movement is disturbing for someone who's had to rely on that sort of awareness so much.

As soon as he reaches a quieter stretch of hallway, his tension visibly eases a little - but anyone near enough to notice that is also going to get rounded on by him, seemingly purely for noticing that at all.]

Shouldn't you be on your way somewhere? [His tone is a shade scathing, but it's a genuine question, because if they aren't, he might be able to get some more information on what's already been found out.]

[Lunch]

[Small talk is far from Shun's forte, but one advantage of chatty teachers is that all you have to do is have the patience to hang around and parse the drivel from the important information when they get together. It doesn't take long for him to hear joking and debate about the curse, some seeming to disbelieve it, others much more convinced of its legitimacy, and in the midst of the murmur, he slips out of the staff room and into the emptier school.]

A dead principal, huh...

[The murmur is difficult to overhear, but after looking up and down the corridor, Shun moves with purpose, heading towards where he thinks he remembers seeing a sign for the principal's office earlier.

At this time, he's not exactly expecting to meet others in the corridor, but listening for footsteps is force of habit now, and rather than be surprised at meeting someone around a corner, he merely pulls up with a hard look.]

Move. Unless you have something useful to say. [His tone isn't so much dismissive as detached - there's more important things to worry about right now, like the mystery illness, and he'd rather this get resolved as soon as possible.]

[It's been a long time since Joshua was in the position of a student. Not long enough for him to have forgotten the routine, of course, and it doesn't seem like it's changed much from what he remembers, but it's been long enough now that it almost feels like nostalgia. Sure, he's roamed the halls of schools while completely and entirely invisible, but actively participating is much, much different.

Still... the circumstances at hand are enough to keep him from fully immersing himself in the simulation. One or maybe even two teachers taking ill at the beginning of the school year is possible, certainly. But for this many to suddenly become sick, it feels like something else is responsible, other than a simple virus or allergies. And how are so many of the teachers affected, and yet the students seem untouched...?

The hallways seem like a much better place to catch information, considering classrooms are learning environments, and open talking is largely forbidden. Maybe, though, if he mulls around a bit in the hallways, he can figure out more of what's going on...]

[ lunch ]

[Joshua has no interest in lunch offered by the school. He could fight his way through the bread line, sure, but it's so much easier to just buy a bento from a convenience store on the way in, and that's exactly what he's done. Not the peak of culinary mastery, but it will do. It helps him remain at his desk, in the classroom with other students, where he can pick apart their thoughts just as well as hushed murmurs.]

So, rumor says this place is haunted. [He prods at the umeboshi atop the rice in his bento, delicately picking it up with the ends of his disposable chopsticks. His voice may be quiet, but he's still giving a pointed - and amused - glance at who he's talking to.] What are the chances it's not exactly a curse?

[Classrooms are weird. Goku knows everyone is there to learn, but it's way too quiet, and he just doesn't get what's being said sometimes. It makes him feel a little guilty for not keeping up with lessons from Elsa's temple as much as he should. At least there, it's easier for him to understand what is trying to be taught to him. Maybe it's just the fact that it's Elsa and Hakkai. Maybe they're just good teachers.

But with other shinki in class with him, he can at least get some help. Maybe. It's not like any of this matters in the long run or anything since it's just a current assignment, but he's still really curious, and he wants to know! And that's why he's leaning over and whispering.]

Did that make any sense to you...?

[Lunch, though. That's when Goku feels much more comfortable with things. He's supposed to be investigating, but how is he going to investigate on an empty stomach? From what he's hearing, though, if you didn't bring your own lunch, bread tends to go fast. And that's exactly why he's running down the hallway towards the cafeteria.

And running right smack into you in the process. Oops.]

[ They said let's meet again under the cherry blossoms. Someday. It was a pleasant fiction, but one that he wanted to believe, if only because for the first time in his life, he had found something he felt like holding on to. And the way things turned out seemed much too short to be satisfying.

But Konzen's not the sort of guy to wallow in the could haves and should haves. Things happened, they sucked ass, but he delivered Goku to the other side, and that's all that matters.

He doesn't remember anything after that. Only that his body doesn't feel completely broken everywhere, and that he has a body at all. He doesn't have much time to think about it before he finds himself whisked off to ... school of all places.

Brats. Everywhere. They expect him to teach them things. What a strange sort of joke. If this is his aunt's idea of fun, he'd like to find her and punch her in the face (if he dares ... one never knows how she might react to that sort of thing. Probably with a drop kick).

He's coming from substituting literature class, and you can tell it went well by the scowl on his face and the sound of his heel stomping on the ground with ire. You might want to get out of his way. ]

If you're seated next to him and looking around not paying attention, he would catch your eye and then indicate the teacher with his chin. Keep your eyes on them, that's what he means... but if he doesn't speak, it's hard to guess at what he means. He could be interpreted some other way entirely. ]

There's three seconds' pause as he gets his bearings with the song piped into his ears, then he begins to sing. If anyone stays or stares, he won't appear to notice at all - fully absorbed in the beat of his music.

It's only after he's done that he opens his eyes. If you're still here, he would address you with a relaxed smile: ]

What do you think?

lunchtime
[ Reiji still doesn't know most of the people here, and he definitely doesn't recognize every single Far Shore resident. So he's decided to just sit next to someone at random - as long as they're not busy in the middle of a pile of friends, he would go up and settle his tray next to them.

Which might include you. A smiling youth with purple hair has just invaded your field of vision. ]

How's it going?

Classes

[It seemed like a good idea, teaching a history class. He knows history! Or well. His history anyway, but that should be enough, right? Not that he knows anything about school or how it even works. You have a subject and just do what you want, right? Except he has to follow a lesson plan and he's never even heard of these places.

So when you go to his class, you just a very grumpy man with some very long hair that doesn't follow any dress code.]
This is so stupid, I don't even know what the hell any of this means. [This class was supposed to start five minutes ago. Izuminokami for the worst teacher ever.]

Screw it. [He gives up and tosses the book to the side and goes to look for suitable materials to spar with. What he comes back with his some brooms and meter sticks.] We're sparring now. Who needs to know this history anyway.

[Sorry for those of you that actually WANTED to learn some history.]

[closed to Illumi, before the assignment]

[Alright she's gotten the run down and spent a good hour trying to figure out if this was real or some cosmic (ha) joke, but... No it's real alright. Perfect. And she's already been given an assignment to blend into a school? Why.

Witnessing someone's death isn't new either, but typically she's actually touched someone to see it happen. But if she understands correctly, that means... A shinki, right? Her own? The man in her memory (his memory, she corrects herself) seemed... scary. Of course she'd get someone like that.

It doesn't take long to locate him either, he sort of stands out. Yuri actually spends a moment or two debating if she should even bother approaching or-- Well. What other choice does she have? She could just hide in her new home all day until they get sick of her and send her home or something, but there are people that need help and from what she understands she needs a shinki to do that.

So with a resigned breath she approaches, expression carefully neutral.
]

Illumi Zoldyck-san? [She'll be polite, of course, and she already knows it's him, but--] I'm your...God, I suppose. Ixtab. [A pause and she adds] My name is Yuri.

[Hallways]
[IT's been a while since she'd been back to school. She'd dropped out back home, not too long after...

Well.

Best not to think about that, but it's hard not to hen everything's reminding her of that time. She's posing as a student, because she's just young enough to pass off--and even if she wasn't actually, she looks young enough and really that's what matters.

Still...
]

There's too many people. [She says it more to herself and leans against the wall, pressing a hand to her head. Too many swirling emotions, too many different thoughts. Her eyes dart from person to person--that student worried about exams, that one about a girl he likes should he confess?

She tries not to touch anyone if she can help it, but it's hard when the halls are crowded. Yuri takes a deep breath and flinches when another student bumps her shoulder, sinking to crouch down, using the wall for support.

Help, she doesn't look so good.
]

[Classes...Sort of. Part A]

[Well it's during class time, so that counts right? look she's already dropped out once before, okay? She finds classes interesting usually but none of them are really holding said interest today when there's Investigations to be done.

If this is her first official job as a god (she still can't quite get over that either) she wants to at least attempt a good job. So she's sipped class to wander to some of the other rooms, loitering around to listen in. Aren't there usually a group of delinquents hanging around somewhere also skipping classes and causing trouble?

It helps the hallways are much emptier now, but she still wanders around with a look about her like a jumpy cat, constantly on the look-out. That's not suspicious looking, right?
]

[Classes Part B]

[Oops, she was caught! An NPC teacher is staring her down, hands on hips, looking Very Authoritative about a student being out in the hallways during classtime with no good reason and lecturing her. Something about detentions or expulsion (isn't that going a little far?) or whatever.

Look, she didn't think that far ahead about this, okay?

She looks around and spies your character for whatever reason, recognizing them as someone more like her and stands up a little straighter in hope.

Please help!! Give her a good excuse to get out of here

classes - a

Surprising no one, Elsa is teaching biology and taking full advantage of the teachers-only areas in order to investigate what's made all the teachers fall ill.

She is also taking advantage of how she passes by unnoticed to go snooping around in the principal's office.

Fellow Far Shore residents can follow her into said office, where she will be poking around at the principal's desk and computer, etc, for any information. Or they can try to stop her (the admin assistant is right there, after all).

classes - b

Alternatively, a "transfer student" or fellow teacher will find her stepping right in front of a miscreant (or a "transfer student" or fellow teacher!) on his way to play hookie. Elsa's arms are crossed, and she looks down her nose at him with all the authority she had at her job back home and the air she put on when she was spying at Reefside High for Mesogog. (Yes, she is also wearing the glasses.)

"And where do you think you're going so early in the day?"

Lunchtime/Roof

[So it's not easy blending in, Axel's figuring out, when he's walking around with a head of fire-engine red hair. Not even when he swiped a track suit from one of the sick teachers' lockers that matches everybody else's. Nope -- the first thing every kid does once he's managed to catch their attention is ask him if he's the new English teacher, and the second thing is start cooing about how cool he looks.

Which is great for the ego but it's getting really old, because they keep forgetting he's there by the time they're done admiring his hair.

He's decided to retreat to the land of delinquents and other antisocial elements and have his lunch on the roof. It's a plain old convenience store bento, nothing fancy, with cheap plastic grass separating the rice from the fried pork cutlet and a splintery pair of disposable chopsticks thrown in the bag.

All he wants is a little peace and quiet, he thinks, and settles down on the edge of the roof.

The wind's coming up at exactly the wrong moment, though, and tipping his plastic bag with his lunch in it right over the edge. He swivels around, staring down. Oh, boy. Hope that didn't hit anybody.]

Hallways

Hey! No running!

[Axel's not cut out for teaching. He's mostly playing hall monitor at the moment. Homeroom teacher, maybe? Whoever's job it is to keep all these brats in line. With so many of their regular teachers out, there's gossip everywhere, too, so maybe hanging out in the hallways is going to get him a few useful tidbits of information.

There's a scuffle down the hallway, and he scowls and starts jogging in that direction, despite just having reprimanded one of the kids for doing the same thing. Man, this is hard work. And he's not even getting paid!]

Hey! You! Knock it off!

A. Hallways

Somehow, someone thought that it would be a good idea for Hibari Kyouya to be put into an actual, legitimate school environment again. The shinki was more that overjoyed at being a student again, seeking down the nearest disciplinary member and aquiring their armband.

And intimidating the rest of them into being his minions again. They weren't exactly strong, but if he wasn't going to be here long, they didn't need to be. They wouldn't be useful against ayakashi anyway.

What they were useful for, however, was them being sent out around the school to aquire information on this mysterious illness. If you asked any of them, they forgot what exactly their new leader looked like, but that he was a small, pretty, scary person-a vague sense of danger came with it.

However right now he was patrolling the hallways with a fresh armband on, looking for signs of stragglers and troublemakers. Which meant you. "Why aren't you in class right now?"

B. Principal's office

Hibari decided to then take matters into his own hands, seeing how this was just taking too long. If investigating this illness turns into a wonderful fight for him, it was better sooner than later, even if he was enjoying himself.

Still, he spun slightly as he sat in the principal's chair, looking down at the desk with a slightly irritated look. This really was annoying. Any teachers or staff who had come in here had either not noticed him or he had intimidated into leaving him alone, so naturally, Hibari looked up when another Far Shore resident entered the room. "What??"

Math Class

Good morning!

I've read through your class notes for today, but they called for a very simple self-study day, and if the scores I saw on your last two exams were right there's simply no time to lose before the end of the year.

To help you identify areas that need improvement, we'll be starting today with a pop quiz! Please clear your desks, and do your best, everyone.

[Is that a copy of the pop quiz landing on the desks even of the fake students?? It sure looks like it. Hope you've been studying your pre-calculus recently.]

Lunchtime/Teacher's Lounge

[Hakkai's brought his own bento for lunch, but he isn't really opening it in the teacher's lounge to eat himself. Instead, he's circulating and offering little tidbits of it to any teacher who looks like they haven't brought a sufficiently delicious lunch of their own today. Especially the young women: he's not above a wide-eyed look of innocence as he asks what's been going on at the school lately.

But even masquerading teachers can get some of the food if they look at him sadly enough.

And if any students happen to be dropping in on the teacher's lounge asking for help on their homework or asking about club activities, well, they might be able to steal a little as well.]
