Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:

Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.

Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:

The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.

Prayer #35:

Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!

Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:

With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it down ~~AND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAM~~ and ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!

Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:

Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

[Goten can't help but laugh, sticking his tongue out right back at her. He can do that too but He has to tease her a little!]

As long as you're okay, Kairi! I don't wanna see you throw up. That's gross. Oh! If the Ayakashi is big it should be easy to spot and find then....I don't get why it would have a mask though...

[He slows a bit, floating next to her and Nimbus for a moment before belly flopping down onto the back of the cloud]

We don't know that it's big, Goten, that's part of the problem. I don't know what's special about a mask either...

[Other than the obvious implication that it was just more powerful. She still smiles slightly as he plays around with her.]

We have to promise though... if we do find it, we have to call Aymeric. We're not gonna grab it by the tail or anything, right?

[They know that he's available right now, after all, whereas Kairi's not sure what Roxas is up to this afternoon. It's been several hours since they left for Heligoland.]

[Goten keeps his face pressed into Nimbus as he sprawls over the end of of the cloud. But he is listening to Kairi's words. He isn't surprise when she brings that up either. How could he ever forget that day? Slowly, he lifts his head up just enough to peek up at her.]

I brought gloves this time!

[But he quickly smiles before she has much time to repond.]

I know, I know! If there's an ayakashi, Aymeric gotta show up cause I don't want you to get hurt and Roxas mad.

I'm glad you have gloves, Goten, but even more glad that you don't mind calling Aymeric.

[She gives him a quick hug around the shoulders.]

Okay, now... How else can we track this thing...? I guess just keep looking. Nimbus definitely goes fast enough! Maybe a wide circle...

[And as they keep circling, one corner of the Tanabata prep area looks a little messy for how close the Festival is.]

[The hug makes his smile grow. He has no issue with calling for Aymeric. He's not a new god to him anymore and if anything, in Goten's eyes, Aymeric and Maddragonra are his family.]

We could split up and cover more ground that way...

[He peeks over the side of the cloud, looking at the world below. Nothing looks too out of the ordinary- wait.]

Hey Kairi... Kairi, look!

[He points down at the messy area]

Let's start there. See you at the bottom!

[With that he hops off the cloud and drops down. He doesn't bother floating until hes just a few feet from the ground so to soften his landing. Blinking, Goten takes in the area. Some decorations are torn up along with what looks like a broken booth.]

[Kairi falls down with Nimbus's help until she can jump off and stand on the ground again.]

I know these ayakashi aren't exactly... thinking straight, but how rude do you have to get to ruin a festival decoration?

[In particular, it appears to be one of the paper decorations for Cleanliness, of all things, which Kairi only remembers because they spent time with Orihime.]

Let's try to find some holy water and clean up this area, at least. In case there's some blight left around-- like there!

[She points at what looks like a table cover - but it's cloth, so it held the blight a bit like a stain.]

[...cleaning.... that's not exciting at all.

Goten frowns, not looking interested at all. Again? First the temple now this. He tries hard to not pout but its evident by the bored look on his face that Goten isn't happy.]

But Kairi, what about the ayakashi? If we stop and clean, it might get away.

[He's a powerful shinki looking to stop ayakashi in their tracks and save the day....not a janitor.]

[She remembers how she'd said the same thing about the ocean, initially... back in Heligoland the first time. Even when she and Roxas came back, he wanted to get the ayakashi causing the blight before he dealt with the mess it'd left behind and the way it'd hurt the fish.]

So after a quick reminder and getting her to look thoughtful, Kairi nods.]

You're right. We should find where it moved from here. Let me just tell someone instead, then we'll take off from here.

[So she flags down one of the attendants that Orihime had been assigned by Heaven to help with the Tanabata preparations, pointing over to the mess and making an X to emphasize 'blight' before running back over to Goten.]

Okay, let's go.

Kaiii-

[Wait. What?

Goten blinks slowly before turning his head around to look at her. He's right? Really? He meant the words but she's really not going to say it's better to clean? He's not use to this.]

...

[His face lights up a bit as he clenches his fists up towards his chest. Alright! They don't have to clean and can keep following the ayakashi! This is great!

He spins around, not being able to hide his smile as he nods quickly.]

Yeah, let's go get that ayakashi!

[He bounces a step or two before looking at the ground, there is a bit of a trail of damage the ayakashi left in it's wake. It's not as obvious as the one on the island but Maybe it'll be like that and lead them right to it. He points at it as he walks along to follow the trail]

Maybe this way?

Yes, we can call Aymeric as soon as we need him, but we don't want the trail to go cold.

[Which she says as she looks off where the droplets of blight are heading - towards the Soulless Shinki temple if her navigation skills are anything to go on.]

Somehow, it either got in, was let in, or... a shinki couldn't bear their guilt. I don't like any of those options, but I hate letting it go after anyone even more.

Right! So that's the plan then, as soon as we find it then we'll give Aymeric a call.

[Goten jumps over the droplets of blight like it's some kind of game of 'don't step on the crack']

Then we gotta find it as soon as possible. Don't worry Kairi, we'll protect everyone. We just gotta work together and find it. You have some of the strongest borderlines and I got Chi. Aymeric will come fast too I bet when we call him.

[See? So don't worry Kairi]

[She nods, but points where the droplets are going.]

I'm worried about what's in that direction especially. Do you know what's over there, Goten?

[She asks as she makes a wave at Nimbus to bring it close again so she can fly behind him.]

Other than some abandoned temples and the regular ones some Gods have taken on, I mean.

Uh...I thought it was mostly abandoned stuff. Or that temple where all those shinki live?

[He doesn't pay that much attention to navigation or anything like that. But he has flown around this area enough to get a rough idea. Still the more they follow the droplets of blight, the bigger they seem to get.]

It shouldn't be that far right?

[She nods.]

That's what I was thinking too. I imagine that all of them collected into a small area seems like the perfect place to go.

[She hops on Nimbus at that point, then moves closer to Goten.]

Let's both get our phones out and head after it.

[She sets the example and then starts drifting at a cautiously brisk pace over the blight, carefully trying to keep her queasiness at bay.]

Right.

[Goten nods, patting the sides of his orange gi pants before slowly blinking.

Pat. Pat pat patpatpat.

He stops hopping over the blight to slowly turn and give Kairi a sheepish smile]

U-um. Well we both can't call Aymeric at the same time, right?

[Maybe he left it on the table once they got back. The only thing on his mind when they got back to Aymeric's was food after all--then spell training.]

[She pauses.

She's not mad but she does sigh heavily.]

When we get back and we can shop at the Near Shore again, I'm going to buy you a- a lanyard or something so you can tuck your phone into whatever outfit you're wearing. Ours phones are way too important to forget at home anymore, Goten.

Sorry.

[His smile grows. Goten really is sorry but at the same time, he doesn't seem that overly concerned about it. He's never had that much interest in his phone and Kairi has hers so it should be fine.]

I'll do better. Don't worry Kairi!

[And back to skipping over the blight puddles. A little further and there is a faint light in the distance making Goten perk up. Do ayakashi glow? He hasn't met a glowing ayakashi yet. With that he picks up the pace a bit]

[She shakes her head, but knows they have to get moving - cautious but quick. She follows after him, phone clutched tight in both hands as she sits side-saddle on Nimbus, but she sees the light too.]

It's almost dusk, but... that glow doesn't look like sunset to me. Goten, let's fly higher again.

[It works well enough to avoid most ayakashi, after all.]

And then we can see what's going on. Take a picture and send it Aymeric too.

[So they do get closer to the Shinki Temple, seeing it come into view - but off to one side is what looks like a column of light.]

Goten... have you ever seen anything like this before?

[Goten nods and hops into the air before hovering up with Nimbus and Kairi. The light is almost impossible to miss, espeically from this high up. It's when they get closer he can't help but stare in awe. The column of light is sort of pretty....it would be more so if it didn't give him an awful feeling.]

Whoaaa....What is that?

[He shakes his head slowly, floating a little closer in that direction towards the light.]

It feels...bad though. Strong to... Do you know what it is?

[He can't really place it. He doesn't have the blight stomach powers Kairi has but it really is giving off an eerie feeling. Which is the only thing keeping him from getting too much closer because it does look pretty amazing.]

[She snaps a picture right away and turns back to Goten.]

I don't know, but it feels the same as a really powerful ayakashi does. Look, there's one now...

[Kairi points to a big one crawling out of the hole like a lizard.]

The day that we found that soulless shinki who needed an ablution, you remember? Roxas and Sora and I took out the only big ayakashi we could find that day. But this... more could come out at any time!

We gotta cover that hole somehow then if more and more are gonna keep coming out. No one thinks about ayakashi being around here...this is really bad...

[It's one thing to be on the Near shore and run into ayakashi. It's expected to happen. But here on the Far shore....Goten didn't think ayakashi had away of getting here. The pillar of light apparently can do it though. He looks back to Kairi, clenching his hands into small fists]

We can't just float here, gotta do something, Kairi. Call Aymeric. I don't want anyone else need an ablution.

[Oh he'll never forget what an ablution is after seeing it in person. Just thinking about it makes him nervous.]

[She nods.]

On it.

[At this rate Roxas, Sora, and Aymeric are going to wind up on speed dial - in that order. Regardless, she gives him a call and tries not to sound too distressed. Probably not working out so well though. She decides to put him on speaker phone so Goten can hear and talk to him too, though: ]

Hey, Aymeric? It's Kairi and Goten. We were out training when - I know this sounds impossible - we found some kind of... hole in the Far Shore by the Soulless Shinki temple. It has ayakashi crawling out of it. Please teleport here quickly.

[When the phone clicks on, there isn't really any sound that comes out but Aymeric did indeed hear Kairi. Because a slight sound and the crunching of grass near them was the sign that someone came out. Even with a sword just in case.

Look, he knows Goten must be tired from earlier so this is just a precaution. Hi kids, you did say to teleport quickly.]

You two are just finding everything today. How bad is this hole and ayakashi?

We were practicing Umbra when we overhead some shinki talking about this... but we're really far away from it! I'll send you the picture I took--

[Because at this point she's not sure she can orient the video correctly. But she does see more than hear him teleporting in, because they're up kind of high. Kairi motions for Goten to follow her and they both descend to ground level.]

It's not that big yet... just something the size of a lizard crawling out of it. But it feels really big, like there's some bigger ayakashi underneath this hole.

Aymeric!

[Goten practically zooms past Kairi to greet his god]

You got here super fast!

[He grins despite it all. But as Kairi explains things he settles down more, looking up at Aymeric eagerly.]

Ayakashi getting here are really bad, we gotta do something, Aymeric. It does feel like there could be a bigger one to, but we donno what to do about that hole.
