What: Tanabata Prayer Catchall followed by Goten and Kairi training

Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:
Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.
Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:
The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.
Prayer #35:
Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!
Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:
With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it downAND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAMand ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!
Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:
Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

Uh-uh. Nope.]
Y-Yeah...c'mon. I don't want those ayakashi to see us.
[Because that would be very very bad. There's no telling if they can fly either. He hovers closer to Kairi and Nimbus as they go higher into the air]
Why are there so many?
no subject
[There's a kind of screeching noise as one of the ayakashi does in fact notice them.]
Go. Right now, GO!
[She lifts up on Nimbus as fast as Nimbus can go - which is pretty fast - and is just hopeful that the tone in Goten's voice means he'll be right behind her. Only from that height can she be convinced they aren't flyers as well. That's when she sees the big flat circle of dead vegetation, though.]
no subject
[Goten isn't paying attention to whats behind them, instead he puts his hands on Nimbus and actually pushes both the cloud and Kairi higher into the air at a decent speed. Not fast enough to where she'll fall off but its probably a good idea to keep a hold of Nimbus because away they go!
Even if there are fliers no way are they catching up to this duo.]
no subject
She lays flat and hangs onto Nimbus with both hands, as they zoom back the way they came. Time to head home!!
When they finally slow down near Roxas's temple where they came to the Near Shore, Kairi points in that direction. At least Goten can still see her hands moving. Slowed fully down, she jumps off of Nimbus and reaches for Goten's hand.]
Come on - we have to tell Suijin what we found. Just like she asked.
no subject
Huh?
[He stumbles after Kairi as she pulls him along to the temple so they can teleport to Suijin. He didn't expect to go with her but okay! To Suijin's place they go hand and hand. Hopefully she doesn't mind the two of them rushing to her temple.]
So where is this Suijin god lady?
no subject
Suijin moves forward, her elaborate kimono making hardly a sound and broad veiled hat subtly hiding her face. She addresses them both at first.]
I am the Mizu no Kami Suijin. This is my shinki Kayo, as a vessel Tsuki, commonly called Kayonaga.
[She then looks between Kairi and the young boy. Appearances can be deceiving on the Far Shore, but still... a child?]
I take it that you are here to report on what you found, shinki Kairi. If you would kindly introduce your partner, then you may proceed whenever you are ready. I shall simply listen, to all you both have to say.
[And she sits gracefully in one of the seats, her shinki standing behind her at her shoulder.]
no subject
[Which she perhaps should feel bad about to call it 'often' but it's the truth too. They fly around together a lot, that's why Suijin noticed her in the first place after all.]
We went down to the Near Shore together, as you asked - and it's a good thing we were flying too. When we got very close to Białystok in Poland, we found it was a swamp. So we stuck to the air. Then we noticed this biiiig circle where not even water was flowing in. Just solid dirt. Near it in the swamp was a dam made entirely out of ayakashi, it seemed - several of them all just huddled there, and some more all around.
[But she holds up her hands defensively.]
That's when we left to come see you! No fighting ayakashi without our gods.
[They learned that lesson the hard way.]
no subject
Mmm? There were way more ayakashi this time though. They really seem to like something about that big circle. We've tried to fight ayakashi without our gods before and it didn't go so good. We didn't get too close cause of that.
[He gives a sheepish smile to Kairi but again his eyes are drawn back to Suijin. Curiosity getting the better of him.]
Hey Suijin, ma'm, how come you hide your face?
no subject
The idea of ayakashi blocking the natural flow of water sends a shiver down her neck. Repulsive. Regardless of what country it is in, now that she knows of it it needs to be dealt with. From the corner of her eye Kayonaga gives her a meaningful look.
And then the shinki Goten asks that question.
Kayonaga at once shifts his gaze to Goten, his expression stiff with suppressed disapproval. Sujin, however, smiles faintly and simply lifts a hand gesturing for Goten to wait.]
Let us finish speaking of the matter at hand, first.
Although I had said you should not go alone, taking another shinki was not what I had in mind. But you seem to know the danger of engaging ayakashi without your god, and so have returned unharmed. [She shakes her head slightly. Why does it sound like they’d both learnt that the hard way though?]
The location sounds rather remote. [Pausing in thought, she glances over at Kayonaga before turning back to Kairi.] This time, we might need extra assistance to find this place quickly. Can you show us exactly where it is?
I didn't even do the dam thing on purpose w/ Suijin involved, that's hilarious. Thank you RNG.
Well... as I said, the cloud that you spoke of is actually Goten's cloud. I'm just on good enough terms with his... pet that I can call it as well. After some... trial and error... my god trusts me to go to the Near Shore on my own, that I'll know when I can't fight an enemy like the ayakashi on my own. Either Goten's god or my own would have been the first ones we called, if not for expecting you would want to hear about it first, before the ayakashi were dealt with.
In case, I don't know... there was something special about them you might want to know before they're Rended. I'll gladly show either or both of you how to get there. When we get back, I'd love to know more about any kind of... patterns this tells you about or something. Would you like me to show you where it is on a map then, or can you teleport all of us down there?
[She actually sounds kind of excited by that prospect - that a god like Suijin has more powers than someone like Roxas, and what might they be?]
no subject
Ah okay...
[He doesn't like to wait but he will. The ayakashi is more important, they do need to figure that out. Wait, was Nimbus at pet? That sounds weird--BUT ayakashi stuff. He looks up at Kairi before pointing at Suijin:]
It'd probably be easier to get miss Suijin lady to teleport there or close to it and then lead them there, huh? Maps are hard to follow and you can point stuff out better in person.
[Or at least he has trouble with map reading]
no subject
It was a good decision, Kairi. There well might be something different about this situation from a normal rending.
[Suijin is thoughtful for a moment at the idea of teleporting.]
Goten has a good point. In person would be better.
Do either of your gods know about the request I made of you? I believe it would a good experience if they came as well.
no subject
[She gives Goten, however, a bit more of a side-eye.]
Considering how quickly Goten jumped into helping me... I doubt Aymeric knew anything other than Goten was coming to see me at Artemis Temple. What are you thinking we're going to do down there - take all of those ayakashi out? Use enough holy water to cleanse the area maybe?
[She's a goddess of water after all, right? And if Kairi's learned one big thing since arriving, it's how invaluable holy water is.]
Actually, in my vessel form? I can help make open water into holy water. Maybe we can do that with the swampy water too!
no subject
I told Aymeric I was going out to play and that Kairi called me. I think he was spending time with Leo anyway.
[He gives a small shrug, really not seeing a problem at all with not telling Aymeric everything. He didn't keep secrets from his god, but he didnt see the need in informing him of everything either. Maybe once he got home and over dinner but that was different.]
I turn into a sword for Aymeric so I donno how that'd help other then slicing aykashi and stuff..
no subject
When the girl describes what her vessel form can do, it actually elicits a slight exclamation of surprise from Kayonaga, and Suijin’s own eyes widen. If she could do that, it might even be more effective at erasing the effects of the magic circle than just destroying it like Kayonaga did with the last one.]
I see. I believe I have an interesting plan to try, then.
Goten, should your god be willing to come wield you, you would be absolutely helpful.
Kairi, I would particularly like to try something using your ability, so kindly call your god.
[Pulling her phone from her sleeve she checks the time as she stands.]
I shall return in five minutes, and at that time we shall travel to the circle you found.
[And with a nod at them she walks away, making a call on her phone as she does so. In a moment, she and Kayonaga teleport away.]
[[ooc: and given the number of people I'd be pulling into the thread, I'll be catching you all on plurk to see about handwaving some of what happens next...]
Full Party
After meeting the summoned gods she outlined her intended plan simply. Aymeric would use Goten to fight off the ayakashi attracted by the circle. Kayonaga would physically destroy the circle using borderlines and support Aymeric as needed. She would draw up water from the ground to flood the area, and Roxas would use Kairi to purify the water. Should that location be favorable to such dark arts, she is hopeful that this purification would dissuade the culprit from working there again.
After making sure that all were agreed with this plan, she invited the two shinki and their gods to lead the way there. Because Kairi had taken a picture of the area, it was a simple matter for the gods to teleport the group there.
---
Appearing in the air above and some distance from the circle, it is a good vantage point. After taking a moment to survey the area from there Suijin allows herself to start dropping towards the ground at the edge of the dead vegetation.]
Let us go to work, then.
[Of course, the arrival of so many delicious-seeming souls does not go unnoticed by the ayakashi. On the alert from the previous disturbance of the two shinki, they are quick to rise against them. As soon as Sujin’s feet touch the ground Kayonaga lets go of her shoulders and starts drawing borderlines. The first cuts clear across the circle, breaking any remaining spell. The second is a wall for the fastest ayakashi to run into. He glances over at Aymeric and nods. Their allies will of course be able to pass through it without any trouble.
Suijin meanwhile walks to the center of the broken circle and drives her pole into the ground with a force perhaps unexpected of one dressed so delicately.]
Draw it forth and spread it as far as you can reach, Saki.
[After only a moment water springs up from around the pole. Suijin does not pay the least attention to her now sodden feet and kimono, concentration fully on the water. It will take some time to inundate the whole area...]

/jumps in here first
Lady Suijin was hoping that we could get the water purified after we take care of some of these ayakashi, Roxas.
[That being their task and priority, if Roxas was okay with it - Rend first, purify second.]
It's days like this I wish I could do it on my own, but at least the two of us working together should make this go super smooth, right?
[She puts her hand on Goten's shoulder too, to be reassuring.]
/second
Yeah! It'll be fine! You can count on Aymeric and me! We'll make sure no Ayakashi's get too close, right?
[He reaches up a little, grabbing Aymeric's hand to tug on it a little. He's excited, clearly. Teaming up with a bunch of people. This has too work! Goten has no doubts.]
Let's do our best.
/third after pulling her head out of Stormblood
[It's not like he hasn't been through worse but then again, dragons are not the type to make others poisoned by mere touch. Unless you're Nidhogg. Seriously, fuck that guy.]
Let us not dally any longer; come Chinki!

Kayonaga is being Suijin's eyes, carefully keeping a lookout in all directions for anything that would disturb his god's work.]

Unfortunately, now she can't speak, but she and Roxas clear a spot near the water. Then, they have enough space for Roxas to drop down on one knee and dip Kairi's hand in the swamp water. Knowing what she's doing this for, it doesn't bother her, the slightly weird smell and texture by comparison to the ocean.
Ebbing out from where her glove is touching the water, a sweeter smell and clearer color starts to spread. Surely it will bother the ayakashi, even though it won't outright destroy all of them. Anything to distract them.]
