You're like 90% of my self-control

Who: Hibari and You
When: July 13th, after Hakkai's disappearence
Where: The Far Shore
What: An almost mingle-post for anyone involved in Hibari's quest for destruction.
Warnings: Violence and Hibari. Fires.

It was only a few hours after Hakkai had disappeared, and the rage hadn't abated. The heavens were always having the last laugh, after all. Hibari at this point did not care about the consequences to himself any longer; the only thing came to his mind was vengeance and destruction. And he was very good at both.

For the proceeding hours until he ended up at Izumo's bar, a shadowy figure would be seen running around the Far Shore, setting large fires in his wake to burn any vegetation that happened to get in the way. If the smoke and flames didn't catch anyone's notice, then perhaps the sudden destruction of some temples would.

OOC: This is the place to go if you want to thread with Hibari during his violent quest, or just thread out the effects of his rampage in general. Anyone is allowed to tag in and around to offer their assistance.

~A~ Temple Run

Several temples volunteered in here are getting some new renovations to their place. They might need help cleaning up some of the rubble or healing, and maybe some of the owners aren't exactly happy their place is being destroyed.

~B~ Fire

There's fire all over the place; even if it isn't close to your temple, it wouldn't be too hard to see the smoke. Thankfully, it's only trailing in Hibari's path, but some effort needs to be put in to stop it from spreading and endangering more areas.

~C~ Direct Conflict

Some people have noticed Hibari before he got to his final destination; and the teenager isn't exactly happy about that. This option is reserved to those who have directly stated they want to fight or attempt to stop him physically.

ooc note: the final events of his rampage will be taking place at Izumo's bar, on his open thread.

~D~ Something Else?

He's a nuisance like that...

[So, yeah, it seems he knows just who is responsible for all of this annoying mess. While it's hard to tell from the dead expression that he usually wears as his default, he's not really happy about this.]

[However, the ring finally does its purpose: so near his face, it's easy to adjust it to the owl accompanying him. It bows its head against the ring, flickering blue flame seeming to absorb into it until a strange blue aura has overtaken its body. The same flickering shape of fire, but with that shimmering aspect similar to light refracting off water.]

[Immediately, it flaps its wings and takes off, swooping low through the air and giving Shun a smug look. The aura expands, trails behind it, and soon enough it really does seem more like a wave of water rather than fire as it swoops upwards over the fiery batch. The result is the same, but the method isn't... exactly putting out the fire conventionally. More like slowing down the processes which lead to fire to the point that they die out that way.]

[Rain flames are weird.]

Sounds like most of you know who did it. [Everyone Shun's run into helping has known who the culprit was, though it's not too much of a surprise that someone causing destruction on this scale would be recognisable. It's probably more an issue of Shun having apparently discovered one of the earliest destroyed areas when he ran across all this intially.

Shun watches the interaction between ring and owl with little apparent reaction - even the smug look from the owl only gets a slight raised brow from him as he watches it pass. Seeing blue flames engulf red is an odd sight, though it's also not entirely different to one he's seen here before, and he sighs quietly.]

I'm going to have to start keeping a list of everyone who has fire powers here, with how many of you there are. [Not everyone has flaming rings, but it's kind of starting to feel like everyone has fire powers.]

He's.... memorable.

[For all the wrong reasons.]

[The owl comes back to settle onto Chikusa's shoulder; it doesn't matter if Shun didn't react much. All it needs to do is preen for itself, fluffed up in satisfaction. Yes, it's amazing, thank you. Chikusa ignores it as well, because he's gotten far too used to its sense of pride.]

...I couldn't do this until recently... And it might not even be me. So keep that in mind if you actually make one.
revolutionfalcon: (200% done and rising)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-05-25 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
That's hardly surprising. [Someone who can do this much damage would have to be memorable, even if it's in the bad way.

As much as Shun is fond of birds, the owl is a bit pompous for his tastes, so he gives it somewhat of a dead-eyed stare before returning his attention to Chikusa.]

It's still something you have access to, so it counts. That thing looks too impressed with itself to listen to anyone else.
kokuyoyo: (I mean I don't even call it a hangover)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-05-27 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's only doing this because it wants to show off.

[At least being called out by two different people twice in a row makes the thing stop, a certain grumpiness about it as it nips at Chikusa's ear. Pity he keeps ignoring it.]
revolutionfalcon: (about time)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-05-28 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
But it's still doing it. [In any case, it's not like that was the only fire in this area, so Shun starts heading through the trees again towards the next one.]

How long has this been going on? He must have been at it for a while with a trail this long.
kokuyoyo: (Tell him next time I'm going to be)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-05-29 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
[At the insistent pecking from Mukurou- apparently it's not done showing off- Chikusa starts to shuffle after.]

More than an hour.... Probably. If he keeps at it, then even the Heavens will have to start actually paying attention instead of ignoring us like they prefer to...
revolutionfalcon: (detachment)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-02 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, at least the bird can motivate him to do things, if nothing else. There's a faintly dismissive noise from him at Chikusa's theory, though.]

The ones it'll draw attention from are probably the ones who already have their eyes on us anyway. Though I can't say whoever's doing this doesn't deserve the wrath of an actual god for it.
kokuyoyo: (Tell him next time I'm going to be)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-05 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe he'll get killed for it.

[That's a nice dream, isn't it? Chikusa likes it. He's pessimistic that it'll happen, but he likes it.]

...What gods pay attention to the newcomers?
revolutionfalcon: (about time)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-05 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. [Didn't their old Susano'o get killed for loosing the noise ayakashi? That was worse than this, but it doesn't appear to be off the table.]

Bishamon, mostly, but Suijin isn't bad either. Amaterasu tries, she just doesn't have any idea what she's doing. [He might be sympathetic to the little god's plight, but that doesn't mean he's not going to point that fact out.]
kokuyoyo: (Tell him next time I'm going to be)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-06 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Suijin.... That's the god that was in charge of the suicide investigation, right?

[Chikusa hadn't really met her, personally, but he'd noted her name.]
revolutionfalcon: (declaration of intent)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-06 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Right. She's communicated with me and other gods a few times to try and get the old and new gods on the same page.

[While Shun still doesn't quite trust her given how reserved she tends to be about her own motivations, he still considers her reasonable as the older gods go.]
kokuyoyo: (Please don't place wagers on my)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-07 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, someone is actually trying to do that?

[Color him surprised.]
revolutionfalcon: (derisive)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-08 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, surprisingly enough. But there's only so much one person can do when a lot of the older gods still aren't interested in working with us.

[Including the other two advisors, as far as he can tell.]
kokuyoyo: (I mean I don't even call it a hangover)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-09 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
They have quite the sense of superiority despite all that's happened.

[Enough that the world might be better off without them, but he holds back on saying that aloud right now.]
revolutionfalcon: (declaration of intent)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-10 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
There are some people who need the superiority torn from their hands before they'll give it up.

[Unfortunately, slapping some sense into the worse older gods kind of comes behind dealing with the more prominent problems here.]
kokuyoyo: (Please don't place wagers on my)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-11 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently someone else has that idea.

[He's referring to what happened to Amaterasu's temple, of course, although he doesn't explain that. He only nudges Mukurou off of his shoulder to another spot of fire, although it's not as big as some of the ones before.]
revolutionfalcon: (game face)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-12 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
And from how they've been handling it, they'd be even worse in a position of power. [While Shun isn't really a peaceful revolution sort, not giving a damn about collateral damage or innocent lives tends to get people on his shit list quite fast.

While he eyes up the fire himself, ready to jump in if it seems likely to need more effort to get rid of, he figures the owl can probably handle one that small.]
kokuyoyo: (Please don't place wagers on my)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-14 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
>[Another splash of Rain Flames, and Mukurou comes flying back to Chikusa's offered shoulder. In the meantime, the teenager continues to talk.]

Anyone back in Greece couldn't remember the figures who put up the fliers. So they're prepared, which is more than I can say for any of us...
revolutionfalcon: (about time)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-14 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
All I heard while I was in Egypt was that a couple of locals had seen suspicious-looking people in brown cloaks with their faces painted. So that's not a lot of use to anyone.

[That's pretty much a generic description of shadiness, and doesn't give them any more specifics on where this might be coming from.]
kokuyoyo: (Tell him next time I'm going to be)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-15 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Cloaks in this day and age.... They really must be part of the established Heavens somewhere.

[That kind of old-fashioned thing, really... Everyone knows if you want to not stand out, you dress in completely normal and uninspiring outfits with no facepaint.]

Did you hear if there were any particular patterns or colors used for the paint...?
revolutionfalcon: (calm command)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-16 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[The concept of cloaks for use as disguise is actually not outdated or particularly rare where Shun comes from, and he just shrugs a little.]

They could be, but it's not an uncommon idea. People still do it. [He'd probably agree with the blending in through normal outfits method working better, but still.]

Nobody mentioned anything specific. Just that it was hiding their faces.
kokuyoyo: (Please don't place wagers on my)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-17 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Just a blank stare for a second.]

....People do that in your world, then...?

[Yugioh world is a trip.]
revolutionfalcon: (placid)

[personal profile] revolutionfalcon 2017-06-18 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen it often enough. It's not subtle, but it works if you want to conceal your identity without minding what attention you draw.

[At least he admits it's impractical for not drawing attention, given Yuto is one of the people who did it back home.]
kokuyoyo: (I mean I don't even call it a hangover)

[personal profile] kokuyoyo 2017-06-19 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Well.... Perhaps that will backfire on them eventually.

[After all, he's curious in his own way about whoever is opposing Amaterasu. Is it something meaningful, or is it simply a powergrab that started it all? Is it personal, or is Amaterasu merely a convenient target that represents all of the Heavens and not just the local gods?]

But those not part of the Heavens will have to do work on their own if they want to find out anything.... Considering how little we're trusted.
