A. I’m falling between the cracks

[After the event that affected the Heavens, Lavi has decided to take it upon himself to distance himself from a few people.

So, people would be able to find Lavi at a park, huddled under a tree. He doesn’t seem to be paying attention to anything in particular, but his usual headband is missing and there’s a silver bird clip currently attached to the collar of his shirt. His eye seems to be focused on a book laid out on his lap, lips moving as he reads what’s on the page.

However, the moment he senses someone coming up to him, the book is slammed shut and he eyes the person almost warily.]

B. The Library Goblins

[Thanks to the pulse or whatever it was, one of the first things Lavi’s done after returning to normal is to inspect the library.

Or rather, inspect the area around it.

He frowns a bit, cupping his chin in thought before he turns to the nearest person.]

Have you seen the goblins? [This is. A very important question since Lavi’s become aware of the goblins the moment they had decided to steal the books back.]

Uh... I think he punched Fuujin when they were kids?

[Lavi resists the urge to bury his face in his hands even if he does still look proud of himself.

He opts for shrugging instead.]

He apparently annoyed me as a kid and I punched him.

.......So if Lavi dissappears we know why. Gotcha!

[Well okay then. Hajime isn't sure how well punching a old god would go, kid or not, but she has seen how grumpy Fuujin seems on the network. He'd probably be better off punching Amaterasu.]

I've never heard of anyone else doing that though. Lavi hits the record books, maybe? A name to go down in Heaven's history?

[She looks to Izuku, giving a small shrug]

Please don't disappear.

[He has heard of way too many murders in the heavens, okay.]

Try... not to punch anybody else? Do your best?

I don't plan on disappearing any time soon.

[He shakes his head at Hajime's words, looking amused.]

I talked to Kaede about it, too, so I'm going to stay away from Fuujin as much as possible. [Even if Kaede did look incredibly amused by the fact he succeeded in punching Fuujin, too.

A lone green eye flickers back to Izuku.]

.....Well, I'll try not to. Can't make any promises.

You can make a promise! It'll keep you to not punching more. If you break it then you gotta talk to us and figure something else out.

[She reaches out, trying to snatch up both their hands and push them together.]

Pinkie promise to trying not to punch people, okay?

[Izuku does not bother to pull away.]

Just... do your best. We'll work on whatever control issues you need later.

[They didn't say a thing about kicking people though.]

....Should I be offended that you two think I don't have any sort of self-control?

[He was a kid. He's bound to be more impulsive than he is right now.

But he doesn't pull away, a huff escaping from him.]

[Don't mind Hajime as she keeps bumping their hands together.]

[Lavi just sort of sighs and holds out his pinky.]

[She puts their hands together, bouncing them up and down before finally releasing the boys as she spins around]

See Lavi, that wasn't so bad!

[He laughs softly as Hajime makes them pinky promise.]

Who's turn was it anyway?

[That gets Lavi to smile briefly.]

It's my turn.

[Which means, he'll direct the question to Hajime:]

Did you have any nicknames at all as a kid?

[Hajime blinks slowly, she acutally has to think about this one]

Not really. Ha-chan sometimes. Otherwise it'd be annoying girl or something like that.

[Hajime shrugs, clapping her hands together]

Nicknames came more after I turned into a Gatchaman! Ha-chan, Newbie - but that was when I first joined and I didn't like it. Katze-san would call me bitch or Hajime-tan alot. If those count? I'm just Hajime!

[She pats her chest at the thought of that alien before look between them both and settling on Izuku] Your turn!

[He listens for a little while. Some of those are definitely more insults than nicknames.] I think I'll stick with Hajime.

Lavi, if you could have any superpower what would it be?

[lostinshadows]

...Hajime definitely suits you better.

[He looks thoughtful.]

Any superpower....I'd have to say energy absorption. Seems like a handy thing to have and it'll leave your opponent drained, too. [A smile before he nods at Hajime.] You go.

I hope so. It's my name. I am Hajime.

[Have a two fingered salute.]
Energy absorption...could throw power into that too. Get everyone's cool powers!

[She snaps her fingers.]

If there was one thing you could do over, what would it be? Both of you. This is a three way.

[She points to them both, beaming]

My name is Izuku, but I'm way more used to Deku or Midoriya.

[... It's kind of nice to think about Shouto saying his first name. Moving on then.]

One thing, huh? [He has plenty of regrets.] I would have asked my friend about what was bothering him way sooner. It led to a lot of difficulties later on. [Stain got his foothold and people sympathized with him.]

[Why you gotta ask this?

Lavi thinks about it, seemingly in thought.]

Not punch Fuujin is one thing. [He's a shinki and he hasn't come to regret anything he's done now.]

Not bad, not bad! I hope that thing with your friend worked out, Dekuku.

[Would you really take back punching Fuujin though, Lavi? Come on, how many people can say they punched one of the old gods?]

So....it's your turn, Lavi.

[He's quiet for a moment.]

He's okay, and that's what's really important.

[At least he's okay in his reality.]

[No, he wouldn't have changed it.

...Maybe he'd feel better punching Fuujin as an adult than as a child, but as a child, he gets a pass, so--!

Lavi thinks it over.]

Alright, for both of you: Was there ever a time you had to keep a big secret for somebody?

[Hajime reaches and up to ruffle Izuku's hair. There there.

She blinks slowly at the question, holding up a finger.]

This is just a yes or no answer, huh? Then..Yep! I have!
