The flame inside the breathing ashes
Who: Lavi and Everyone
What: Aftermath of various things
Where: Far Shore
When: August 17-24
Warnings: None at the moment!
[A. August 17th - Afternoon]
[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.
Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.
It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.
”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”
His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]
Sisi, wait!
[B. I Lost You Again]
[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.
The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]
Damn it, Allen.
[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.
He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]
Damn it.
[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]
[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.
He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]
Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!
[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!

Admittedly, this is a kind of weird way of flying, but it's still flying. Kind of.]

[Shun, if only you could meet Lenalee.
But since Lavi doesn't remember her, he keeps on going.]
You seem comfortable being up in the air.
no subject
Lavi's remark has him pause for a few moments before answering.]
I used to fly a lot in my world. I just can't do it here. [Or at least, not in the same way, and he only heard about gods being able to fly about a day ago.]
no subject
[He still doesn't know about Duel Monsters yet, Shun.
He might jut think Shun has natural powers, too.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, with both Yuto and Fubuki having connections to Duel Monsters, Shun isn't prone to bandying the information around without good reason. As far as he's concerned, this is enough to get a general idea of what the problem is.]

no subject
[He sounds surprised. Maybe he should tell Cardia about it.]
I didn't know that was possible.
no subject
[There's a mild note of exasperation to his voice, as if he thinks they should have been told earlier, but not much more.]
I don't know how it works, but it could be useful if I get it figured out.
no subject
[Really, it does sound a bit like it'd be useful information.]
Knowing you, you will. You'd probably just enjoy the idea of being able to fly in general, actually.
no subject
I will, it might just take a while. I'm not sure where to start. [But there's no denying he likes the idea of being able to fly.]
no subject
He shrugs.]
If it's you figuring it out, I don't think it'd take long for you to start flying.
no subject
I'll see about it in the next few days, if I have the time.
no subject
He hums.]
Alright.
no subject
It does bring a good comparison to mind, though, and Shun gives a somewhat dismissive huff.] Just look at their priorities. When Suijin called me out, it was to discuss how to ease tension between the newcomers and the older gods. When Fuujin did it, it was because he wanted me to find something to "prove" I was as competent as Suijin said.
no subject
Well, while it's true that those three seem to like - or tolerate - us better, we still have no idea where their true intention can lie. Trying to make us all coexist with one another seems like a good plan until someone messes it up.
[And get the old gods pissed at them.]
no subject
She's mostly just done the smaller things so far. It's part of the reason we have regular training days to welcome the newcomers now, because that was one of my suggestions.
no subject
[The training sessions really have helped, and it's given Lavi more than enough reason to eye any newcomers without a need for immediate defense.]
no subject
[There's definitely a few of those missions that people could have risked dying on from the Heaven's carelessness in sending them immediately. The demon summoning comes to mind.]
no subject
[Like the ablution thing.]
no subject
[Clearly not all, given the whole "since when can gods fly" issue they had here, but some.]
no subject
no subject
[Also, he'd rather actually have it figured out before mentioning it.]
no subject
[How long have they been in the air now?
Either way, it's time to land.]
no subject
[And then they might be able to get it to the point of reasonably widespread knowledge rather than just reserved to whoever happens to raise the right subject in front of the old gods and shinki.]
