[A. August 17th - Afternoon]

[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.

Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.

It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.

”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”

His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]

Sisi, wait!

[B. I Lost You Again]

[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.

The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]

Damn it, Allen.

[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.

He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]

Damn it.

[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]

[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.

He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!

[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

[With the glance, she gives a friendly wave in greeting just before he looks away. Blinking a bit at that, it encourages her to take a couple more steps forward until she's standing next to him. Leaning forward a bit, she peeks at him.]

Lavi...

Hajime.

[He doesn't move as she peeks at him, fingers clenching.]

What are you doing here.

[birdstheword]

Walking around. Looking for you. I found you.

[He gently reaches out to place her hand on his back, while it's suppose to be reassuring it's also a 'tag, found you' gesture]

You're not looking so good.

You found me.

[He huffs a bit, running a hand through his hair, frustrated.]

Allen's gone.

He might come back. People poof and come back alot you know?

[There, there Lavi]

[lostinshadows]

[Lavi scoffs, choosing to say nothing.

People can come and go, but it doesn't mean that it'll still be his Allen.

Sisi whines.]

[birdstheword]

[She moves around him, placing her other hand on his other shoulder and leans on him more]

You don't wanna talk, huh? It's okay if it hurts, Lavi. I miss lots of people too. But I'm sure we'll see each other again.

But we have no idea if they'll actually remember us if they do come back next time.

[For once, he doesn't bother trying to push her away.

If anything, he might sink a little into the contact, needing some reassurance without the words he didn't know how to convey.]

Even if they don't, it doesn't change who they are or what they mean to you. It's hard to stay strong...

[She presses a little bit of her weight on Lavi's shoulders, as if to give him some kind of solid feeling.]

We gotta to keep doing the very best we can.

[She leans down, letting her arms slide forward and wrap around his shoulders in a gentle loose hug]

A long as you're alive and your heart is still beating, doki doki, Allen and everyone else are still there, aren't they? Your heart will always be a home, memories or not.

[The hug is nice, appreciated even, but Lavi doesn't turn to look at her.

She knows what he's going through, having lost people who's been here before, but at the same time--

It doesn't erase the void, that gaping hole left in his undead heart, that came with it. He just didn't end up losing one friend, but two since he can't seem to find Lux anywhere either.

He just presses his lips together, refusing to say anything as he keeps his attention focused on Sisi.]

[She stays there for a moment keeping her arms around Lavi silently. There's not much more she can say. Even if she has been through similar things, its different person to person. But she is here for Lavi and she doesn't think that needs to be said.

So instead she just hums a bit. Lavi is strong, he'll pull through this. she knows it.]

....What are you doing out here, anyway, Hajime?

[Somehow, he doesn't really get the impression that she was out for a stroll.

He's grateful, at least, that she doesn't seem to push him a little more than she usually would.]

Taking a walk around. I noticed some threads poof so I wanted to be look around.

[It's just something she does, in some vain hope that maybe her power isn't working maybe? Who knows. She's never questioned it herself.]

Has anyone else gone?

[He somewhat hopes that Lux isn't gone either, but after what happened between them, can he still wish for that?]

[Hajime blinks slowly, her arms absently tightening a little around him. Does he not know?]

....Yeah, someone else has.

[She squeezes him a bit before loosening her hold and then pulling her arms away, instead she takes a seat behind him. Stretching her legs out in front of her, she presses her back against his gently, looking up at the sky.]

[It's not that he doesn't know.

He's hoping he's wrong.

He breathes out, drawing a knee up to his chest and just hugging it.]

Too many people have been disappearing.

[birdstheword]

[She's seen more people disappear at once but that isn't worth mentioning. It won't help Lavi. She leans back on him, hitting her shoes together]

I don't know how many more will. It doesn't stop it but I'll keep a closer eye on everyone's threads.

[She hums, stretching a bit]

Lavi, why do you think some people dissappear and others dont?

Because whatever is keeping us here decided that it's time for some very late spring cleaning and chooses people by chance.

[The answer is immediate, if not somewhat dry, as if he doesn't quite believe in his own words.

But this is the most people he's seen disappear or killed off since his time here. Lavi's never been good at handling how it feels when the people who he's seen and befriended (or loved) ends up disappearing on him.]

Mmm...

[It's not a bad theory but she doesn't like the sound of that either.]

Some people are here a few days, others a few months. I don't think anyone is left from the group I first arrived with back in...February?

[Yeah, February was around when she showed up. There doesn't seem to be any pattern or connect on who poofs and who stays.]

That's six months ago.

[And Lavi's only been here since June.

...What are the chances.]

If there was a connection or anything, it'd be easier, but it seems to be something connected by chance in the end.

[Hajime reaches out to the air, fingers curling as she pulls some threads to her that become visible at her touch. Idly she starts twirling them around her fingers as if starting to play a game of Cat's Cradle by herself.]

Like a lottery? Do you believe in chance, Lavi?

No. [The answer is immediate.] Nothing is ever by chance.

I wonder how it happens then.

[food for thought really. Why Allen? Why Lux? They hadn't been here that long. Lavi is still here and Hajime is much over due herself so it's not time related.]

Who knows, especially if the old gods are still in the dark about it.

[He's seen people go as soon as they arrive. So many people leave while others remain behind. He's not even sure who else is left from the June group.]

Dekuku is good with lists and data. It might be a good idea to scribble peoples names down and what we can figure out about them. Then when someone poofs and another person poofs there might be something connecting between the lines.

[She's not sure how well that would work or how willing new arrivals would share personal information but there has to be something that is being over looked. She keeps her eyes focused on her hands, making various shapes with the threads, Lavi might feel some pulling at his chest. If he looks down there will be a glowing thread coming out of him as she's gently tugging on it since she's using it to make a rabbit shape]
