Because I realize you're just a dream
Who: Hitsugaya and YOU
When: August 31 - September 5
What: Catchall, basically. (Adult Hitsugaya, fire-related things, and headaches)
Where: Far Shore and Near Shore.
Warnings: None at the moment
[A. Bankai Training a.k.a Introduction of Adult Hitsugaya]
[It’s not an unfamiliar sight to see someone training, especially anyone who bothers coming to the forest near Kuraokami’s temple. What is an unfamiliar sight, however, would be what would appear to be an older version of Hitsugaya.
He’s in the sky, training with his sword. Bits of ice and snow appear with his movements, causing him to frown a bit as he reins in his reiatsu enough to ensure he doesn’t end up freezing the moisture in the air. Swinging his sword to the side, an ice dragon flows out from the tip and circles overhead before it disperses in the air.
He watches it disappear, sighing and rubbing the back of his neck before he decides to land.]
[B. Investigations]
i. Yamada Department Store
[After hearing about the department fire, Toushirou doesn’t really waste too much time checking it out.
The remains of the building stood out to him as he approaches it. There’s some faint look of wonder on his face, wondering just how bad the fire could have gotten this bad. It makes him frown, peering up at it before he slips inside the burnt department store.
People are free to join or prevent him from doing so.]
ii. Lava
[He would have initially missed the lava - the hot weather was already beginning to take a toll on him - but it was the smell of sulfur that managed to catch his attention.
So, Toushirou is looking in the direction of where he could practically feel the sudden increase in the temperature, expression somewhat annoyed. He breathes out, a hand coming up to cover his face.]
Now there’s lava?
[C. Headache-Induced]
[Now here’s an odd sight.
Anyone who knows Toushirou would be surprised to see him either sleeping under a shaded tree or leaning against it, eyebrows scrunched up together as if in pain. There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong, but at the same time, he pinches the bridge of his nose as if warding off a headache.
A teal eye soon glances over when someone approaches, but then soon closes.]
What? [His tone is wary, a bit on edge.]

Since he's landing anyway, Shun doesn't bother exercising his recently-figured-out godly flying powers to go and investigate, but he does head over while eying Hitsugaya off with a somewhat wary look.]
We're not having some kind of space-time screw-up again, are we? [He does not want a repeat of turning into a kid.]
no subject
[He's sure Goten's mentioned this to him before.
He quirks an eyebrow.]
Figuring you're only asking since I'm in this form right now.
no subject
You're saying that like it's normal for someone to suddenly grow up. [Especially when he last saw Hitsugaya about yesterday during the prayer fair, where he was considerably not an adult, as usual. Or not visibly one, at least. Shun has his doubts about Hitsugaya actually being a kid considering his skill and how he behaves.]
no subject
[Shun's doubts would be correct, though. Toushirou is still a considered a "kid" in his own world, being younger than his cohorts in Soul Society, but he's still older than Shun.
By a couple of centuries.]
no subject
You're not really explaining why it's happened now, though.
no subject
[As if that's explanatory.]
Or basically a 'power up', if you want to think of it that way. By releasing enough energy, I can turn into this form, but I don't exactly try to make it a habit often.
no subject
Sounds like something you'd save for when you actually need it. {It is the push Shun needs to raise something he's been wondering for a while, though.] How old are you supposed to be, anyway?
[He might look like a kid normally, but someone the age Hitsugaya usually looks isn't typically as skilled as that.]
no subject
[Honestly, while peace is nice, he does enjoy the occasional fight.
There's a brief pause before:]
A couple of centuries old. [Does that answer your question?]
no subject
While Shun's expecting a bad answer when Hitsugaya has to pause before giving it, he mostly just sighs quietly when he hears it.] You're not even the first person here I've heard that from.
no subject
[He shrugs a bit.]
I imagine there are others here who are much older than they look. ["Like the rest of the soul reapers."
But his form glows, surrounded in mist before he's back to his usual form.]
no subject
[Not to mention probably a multitude of others he hasn't mentioned. He'd doubt Will's "demon" is any younger than that sort of age, as one example.]
no subject
[Learning that Hannah is Will's shinki didn't really come as a shock.]
At the rate it's going, it's not surprising if it's become the norm by now.
no subject
I doubt it'll get that far, but I definitely wouldn't call it uncommon anymore.
no subject
He's also not sure if Shun has met Hannah yet, but a name would suffice.]
no subject
[Even then, the whole "sensing negative emotions for feeding despite not being interested" was a bit of a red flag.]
no subject
[Sort of. It was stupid in the end, but now it did have Hannah wondering more about herself.]
no subject
[Considering what was said about demons from that world, Shun now has his reservations as to whether that's actually true. So it's more a question of how much instinct to memory would affect the behaviour of a demon.]
no subject
[He's only met Hannah once but he could still feel power from her. Unfortunately, he's not really used to demons so he can't say anything about that.]
I don't much about her myself or her powers since we've only spoken once.
no subject
[Shun doesn't sound particularly fussed about that, actually. He's encountered people with that kind of ability before, and the last one turned out to be decent. If he'd been here longer, Shun probably would have come to call the guy a friend.]
We've only spoken twice, but the second time was where I learnt about all that.
no subject
[As if there really needs to be anymore demons.
He sighs softly.
In any case, Spears should be more careful about what he plans to do with her. She claims to not want to know more but curiosity is strong.
[Hitsugaya just doesn't want to deal with more potential demon drama.]
no subject
There's a limit to how much shinki can pry into their own pasts, I think, but he's definitely going to make her suspicious if he keeps behaving like this. [There's healthy caution, and then there's just being incredibly obvious about hating your shinki from the get-go.]
no subject
He breathes out slowly.]
Regardless, he'll be forced to make some peace with her eventually, even if it's just a little. Let's hope that he'd finally come to some sort of conclusion as to handle the situation better.
no subject
Hitsugaya's summation gets a slight hum of agreement from Shun.] He has to work with her somehow. I'm hoping that figuring out the entire death god population of these Heavens aren't going to be his watchdogs are going to convince him to find his own solution.
no subject
In the end, it's his own problem. We all have other things to do than to worry about that. [Not to mention the whole thing between Grell, Botan, and Emizel. He'd rather not want a repeat of that given how Botan's still currently asleep in his own temple at the moment.]
