[A. Bankai Training a.k.a Introduction of Adult Hitsugaya]

[It’s not an unfamiliar sight to see someone training, especially anyone who bothers coming to the forest near Kuraokami’s temple. What is an unfamiliar sight, however, would be what would appear to be an older version of Hitsugaya.

He’s in the sky, training with his sword. Bits of ice and snow appear with his movements, causing him to frown a bit as he reins in his reiatsu enough to ensure he doesn’t end up freezing the moisture in the air. Swinging his sword to the side, an ice dragon flows out from the tip and circles overhead before it disperses in the air.

He watches it disappear, sighing and rubbing the back of his neck before he decides to land.]

[B. Investigations]

i. Yamada Department Store
[After hearing about the department fire, Toushirou doesn’t really waste too much time checking it out.

The remains of the building stood out to him as he approaches it. There’s some faint look of wonder on his face, wondering just how bad the fire could have gotten this bad. It makes him frown, peering up at it before he slips inside the burnt department store.

People are free to join or prevent him from doing so.]

ii. Lava

[He would have initially missed the lava - the hot weather was already beginning to take a toll on him - but it was the smell of sulfur that managed to catch his attention.

So, Toushirou is looking in the direction of where he could practically feel the sudden increase in the temperature, expression somewhat annoyed. He breathes out, a hand coming up to cover his face.]

Now there’s lava?

[C. Headache-Induced]

[Now here’s an odd sight.

Anyone who knows Toushirou would be surprised to see him either sleeping under a shaded tree or leaning against it, eyebrows scrunched up together as if in pain. There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong, but at the same time, he pinches the bridge of his nose as if warding off a headache.

A teal eye soon glances over when someone approaches, but then soon closes.]

What? [His tone is wary, a bit on edge.]

[It's suppose to be another training day so naturally Goten is zooming to Hitsugaya's temple. But what's strange is the god doesn't greet him when he gets there. He actually has to go looking for Hitsugaya. Were it not for the fact that he could just barely sense where he was, Goten would have thought Hitsugaya ditched him and forgot. After all, he did mention having a new shinki around so...

Finding Hitsugaya leaning against a tree trying to sleep isn't what he expected at all. He walks closer, leaning over the god curiously.]

Are you ok?

I'm fine. Just needed a small break.

[Or a long one. Doesn't matter.

He pushes himself up to sit better.]

Sorry, Goten, but I think I might have to cancel training for today.

[Goten eyes him, frowning a little more]

Okay...

[That's disappointing but if Hitsugaya isn't feeling well it's understandable. Goten moves closer, reaching out to touch the god's forehead. Trying to see if it's hotter then usual.]

I'm not sick.

[He doesn't stop him, though, if it'll help appease Goten. If it helps, he's at a temperature a normal person should be now.]

[Is that a good thing? Hitsugaya is usually cold to the touch so actually feeling some warmth from him is strange.]

How do you know that? You're not cold at all.

[Better save then sorry. Goten removes his hand and steps around to try and pick Hitsugaya up over his head.]

I'm just not focusing on using my power to keep cool is all.

[He reaches out to prevent Goten.]

I just need rest.

[He stops but keeps his hold on Hitsugaya as if that hasn't fully convinced him]

What are you doing out here then? You should be in bed, Hitsu. I could make you bath of ice cubes or something. I don't want you to melt.

[Normal temperature Hitsu is weird.]

I'm not going to melt, Goten.

[Is it that weird to have him at a normal temperature?

He sighs.]

I was already out here when I decided to try and take a nap. It's nothing bad; just me overusing my god power a bit.

[YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE OKAY]

Overusing? What'd you do to do that?

[Here he thought Hitsugaya was using a decent chunk of power during their fights. What could have worn him out more then that? Settling down a bit, Goten lets go of him long enough to gently push him back against the tree and take a seat next to him.]

I was using it to heal someone.

[Does that help?

But at least Goten let him go, even if it's just to sit beside him.]

Did a friend of yours get hurt? Or your new shinki?

[Goten stretches his legs out in front of him, glancing back up to Hitsugaya]

[ When Botan had finally woken up, she'd probably been stretching for about ten minutes or so before really getting up. There was that sluggishness that stuck with you when you slept for too long, even though it was hard to tell how long it's been. Either way, it took a bit before Botan was finally pulling her hair back and getting out of bed.

Yet, while everything seemed close enough to how it was just before, things felt different. A change in presence, and despite it being his temple, she was having trouble really picking up Hitsu's energy, and not in the same way he'd try to suppress it either. This wasn't masked, but faint compared to usual. So when she does finally track him down, it's about another second or so before the younger reaper even says anything. ]

You really don't look so well, Hitsu-kun.

[By this point, seeing Hitsugaya training on the way past his temple ground on a patrol is normal enough for Shun to barely give the flying god a passing glance. This time, though, he has to double-take a bit, because...that definitely doesn't look like the Hitsugaya he's familiar with.

Since he's landing anyway, Shun doesn't bother exercising his recently-figured-out godly flying powers to go and investigate, but he does head over while eying Hitsugaya off with a somewhat wary look.]

We're not having some kind of space-time screw-up again, are we? [He does not want a repeat of turning into a kid.]

[Niles liked to think he knew most of what was going on here. Most of the people he was aware of, and anyone new, he set out to know. He's sneaky, sly and a dick.

So when he sees a handsome man who he's yet to run into before, he's intrigued. White hair? He may be biased, but that's incredibly attractive.

When the man lands on the ground, he slinks up towards him.]

That was quite... intriguing.

Not exactly. She's just been unconscious for a week.

[And he's been restoring her energy at weird intervals to keep that damn artifact inside of her.]

It's been stressful these past few days.

[Ignoring the fact that he was healing her.

He eyes her a bit.]

Seems like you've finally woken up. How do you feel?

Not that I'm aware of.

[He's sure Goten's mentioned this to him before.

He quirks an eyebrow.]

Figuring you're only asking since I'm in this form right now.

[Niles gets a wary look.

He's pretty sure he's not that unrecognizable, even if he and Niles only talked once.

So:]

Did you need something?

I want to see you keep fighting.

[And get shirtless.

And kill a man.]

[Well, Hitsugaya recognises him. That's a start. That doesn't really explain why he's like this, though, which just makes Shun quirk a brow considering his lack of explanation so far.]

You're saying that like it's normal for someone to suddenly grow up. [Especially when he last saw Hitsugaya about yesterday during the prayer fair, where he was considerably not an adult, as usual. Or not visibly one, at least. Shun has his doubts about Hitsugaya actually being a kid considering his skill and how he behaves.]

Considering all the odd things that occur, it's not a far-fetched idea.

[Shun's doubts would be correct, though. Toushirou is still a considered a "kid" in his own world, being younger than his cohorts in Soul Society, but he's still older than Shun.

By a couple of centuries.]

I've no reason to.

[Especially now that he has an audience.]

Like I've more than overslept. I've circled past well-rested and feel like I should take it easy.

[ Yet she went straight out to check on why Hitsugaya's energy was in such... a small presence. With 'few days' and 'finally,' Botan can't help but wonder- ]

Just how long have I been asleep?

[ Since the 18th, so really longer than she had any right to be asleep. ]

I suppose it's fortunate then that your god hasn't asked where you've been.

[Even if Grell might have already had an idea.]

A week or so. [It's either the last day of August or early September, so probably close to two weeks if Botan's been out since the 18th.]

That sounds really bad!

[Beteween the girl being unconscious for a week and Hitsu being tired....yeah; none of that can be good]
