[Goten has never used the stairs to Yona's temple and he's not about to start now. He zooms towards the large temple, keeping high in the sky until he sees it just below. Perking at the fimilar figure waiting outside he swoops down.]

Yoon! Hey!

[Waving with excitement, Goten comes to a quick stop just over Yoon's head before dropping to the ground as if gravity was now existed again.]

I'm here. I told ya I wouldn't make you wait long!

and so was 2016 so hush you

[He puts his hands on his hips and nods.]

Aa. That you did.

[He smiles then and waves Goten on inside the temple.]

Did you come straight from Aymeric's temple, or somewhere else?

I was at Izumo's bar first and then went to Aymeric's so yeah! The temple is great but it's sorta boring if Maddragonra doesn't wanna play or Aymeric isn't there. So I like to go out and play a lot with Izumo and Shizuo or Hitsu...Nanako too!

[He smiles, quickly trailing along behind Yoon]

What about you? You're staying here right?

[Ah look an opening.]

Actually you're right, Yona's letting me stay here while I figure some things out.

[He keeps walking until they get to the kitchen.]

I've been thinking a lot about which god I should ask to name me. Did you know that three gods all offered that to me? I was so surprised.

[And touched, really, but he's trying to keep the focus on the number.]

[A small gasp escapes Goten as his mouth hangs agape in awe.]

Three? Wow Yoon, everyone must really like you. That's great!

[Goten's smile quickly becomes a large grin]

I shouldn't really be surprised--neither should you 'cause you're really good Yoon. You're friendly, smart and can cook really well. Whoever you go with will be super lucky, ah, are you just gonna pick one?

[He's really curious. Besides one or two people, he hasn't really mentioned to being a Nora either. Mostly because he forgets to bring it up but it's also because of how frown upon it can be to some people]

I know having more then one god is sorta bad...I don't really get why but I don't think it's a bad thing. What are you gonna do?

You're sweet for saying those things, Goten, but it's hard to think that I didn't fail the last two gods I had and might also fail the next one.

[ It's a heavy thought, but he knows now that Goten wasn't always with Aymeric either. He tries to encourage Goten to peel some corn husks while he speaks and chops vegetables at the same time. ]

I couldn't really help my last god at all. It felt like he didn't need me at all. So when it comes to picking a god... I'm kind of thinking that I want a god whose temple needs someone like me around. One of the gods who offered is Yona. She and I know each other from before, but I remembered her not too long ago. But she has two strong shinki already - Izumo and Shizuo.

Then there's the other two. They both only have one shinki, so I thought they might need me more... but one of them was Aymeric.

[ He looks over at Goten. Now to see how he takes that. ]

[Goten looks over at him, its hard to focus on cooking when Yoon sounds down on himself. He frowns a little, worried.]

I still don't think you failed anyone. I sorta felt that way with my first god, Archie, cause he wouldn't let me do anything with ayakashi. I never got to see what I turned into him either. I think....sometimes gods and shinki don't get matched up right. Aymeric and me work a lot better together. He knows I'm small but he doesn't make me feel bad for it.

[They can work together as a team and Aymeric knows he can hold his own too. He doesn't hold Goten back. But he sort of understands what Yoon is getting at. Though at the mention of Aymeric he does blink. He can't hide the surprise on his face.]

Aymeric offered to name you?

[He hadn't assumed that Goten had a previous god because for all he knew, Aymeric was around for much longer and lost his former shinki awhile before he and Goten paired up as soon as Goten arrived. It was a possibility. More than that, hearing Goten say that he and his first god didn't 'match' well made Yoon feel a little bit better - that his experience wasn't unique. Of course, then Goten asks that question and Yoon can't really parse his expression well enough to be sure that the surprise is a good or a bad reaction.]

... Yes, Aymeric. How would you feel if he did that?

[He hadn't expected that, unless Yoon was in need of help or something. He's curious to Aymeric's thinking because of the god's reaction to finding out that Goten asked to be named by another god. So hearing that Aymeric asked Yoon to become his shinki is strange.

Goten doesn't see a problem with it; it's just strange. But he does slowly smile up at Yoon.]

I'd be okay with it, if that's what you're asking. You'd be like a big brother, kinda!

[The thought of having a big brother feels comforting to Goten. He has a bunch of friends, parental figures but there has been something missing. His smile even grows a bit at the mention of it.]

We're friends and I know you're a good person so I think it'd be good for Aymeric too. I think I sorta....hurt his feelings maybe before, um, s-so you becoming his shinki too would probably help! --You should do it! Then we can go on prayers and stuff and you can stay over more too!

Ah... I guess big brother works.

[Yoon didn't have any siblings in his past life, so it doesn't fill any sort of void for him like it does for Goten. Mostly he's just glad that Goten seems to like the idea.]

You don't have to say what happened to hurt his feelings but I don't know how me becoming his shinki would help. I wouldn't mind staying over more often but you could always come to Yona's temple and stay with me instead sometimes.

[He finishes up the preparations he was in the middle of and gives Goten the opportunity to do some of the work - even if he has to wait for Goten to be ready to pull his attention away from talking about Aymeric. Yoon can multitask like that but maybe Goten can't.]

[Goten just grins at that, practically beaming at Yoon. If it was someone he didn't know, Goten would be a little more bothered by Aymeric offering himself to become someone else's god but for Yoon, someone he's already friends with, sounds like a fun team up!]

Okay! Sometimes I'll stay with you and you can stay with me sometimes too! I don't always stay at the temple either. Sometimes I sleep over Izumo's and Hitsu's!

We can hang out more and help each other learn more shinki stuff too.

[It's only when Yoon is practically done with his task, Goten finally notices and quickly goes back to peeling the husk off the corn.]

[He's not sure how much he should tell Goten about being surprised at his reaction, so instead he focuses on just being grateful.]

Well then, it's settled. I'll let Aymeric know I talked to you about it.

[He knows that technically he didn't need Goten's permission, but considering Goten's age he really didn't want to just spring that on Goten.]

And I know what Hitsugaya's temple is like, but where is "Izumo's"? As long as by "Izumo's" you don't mean sleeping under his - what is it he runs, a tavern?

It's a bar.

[Tavern, Bar...Goten doesn't know the difference if there is or isn't one but he knows what it's usually called.]

Yeah, his bar has rooms! It's fun. I got a bed there and everything and the kitchen isn't hard to get to.

[Yoon doesn't really know either, but to him... that sounds like a tavern.]

You don't actually sleep in the kitchen, I hope, Goten.

[He's not... 100% opposed if Izumo's the one who runs it, it's his call, but geez that sounds like so many kinds of bad ideas.]

I could if I wanted to, I think. Above the bar part of it are rooms. I got one just for me but other people stay sometimes.

[He shrugs a bit]

You should come by sometime! Izumo makes really good food and drinks. I betcha if you made food there lots of people would like it too. Your food is really good too.

Well.... [Modesty does not become him.] My food is really good. But I'd need to be asked first before I just walked in there and started making food.

[But he holds up an index finger.]

Besides, I'm going to focus on one god's temple at a time. I need to get situated at Yona's - and then talk to Aymeric next.

Ohhhh, okay. Then can I visit you a lot at Yona's and help you get situated? Then you can hang out more with me at Aymerics!

[It sounds good to Goten. He's just excited to soon be teamed up with Yoon and have even more an excuse to hang around him.]

Of course you can, Goten. I won't wait too long before I check in with Aymeric now that we got to talk. I'm sure Yona wouldn't mind if you came over.

[He's starting to become consciously aware that he's the mom friend, but Goten brings it into stark contrast. And that's why Yoon reaches over to brush his hand gently through Goten's hair.]

I don't think she will. I like Yona a lot to. She's super nice. She gave me water guns!

[He loves those things okay.]

I can't wait to do prayers and stuff together. You're really smart too so they're be really easy with you around. This is gonna be so awesome!

[He's so excited!!!]

Ah... you're really that excited? For all you know I could turn into something totally useless.

[He's thinking of Hitsugaya's scarf, which means he can't really be effective in a fight. Then again, Goten is a fighter...]

What's your vessel form anyway, Goten?

[He's almost positive that hasn't come up yet.]

No way! Even if you turn into something weird, it's you Yoon! You'd figure it out, I know it.

[He's got the upmost confidence in him. His big smile reflects that. Yoon is smart so even if it was something like kind of clothing he's sure they'd figure something out. Heck, Kairi use to turn into gloves and she figured out a way!]

Me? I turn into a sword for Aymeric. With Hitsu i become this long weapon with a curved blade at the end. I don't remember what it's called.

[Yoon laughs a little, prepared to make a joke about being a genius. Then he mentions "with Hitsu" what he becomes. And that makes Yoon stop to think for a second... because he really could've sworn that Goten was strictly Aymeric's shinki. That was why he worried about Goten's reaction. The way that Goten said that though, there's no mistaking it. Something to keep in mind.]

Well, so a weapon in both cases. Are your names similar too? I was wondering if that mattered.

Uh....I don't think so?

[He blinks slowly. He's really bad at remembering his names.]

I can show you them if you want? Maybe that'll help?

Sure. I think I should be able to read them for you.

[Maybe with enough repetition, Goten will remember his names. And maybe it's not even that they're pronounced similarly, but have similar elements to their characters? He'll know if Goten shows him, at least.]

[Goten nods, undoing the black belt around his waist as he slides off the top of his gi and pulls off his dark blue shirt. Despite all the fighting and training he does, there isn't a mark on Goten aside from his name. Chinki - 珍 on his right shoulder and 犠 - Giki on his upper back. He tries to glance at them himself too.]
