[Fushimi actually went to sleep at a decent hour, so he's sprawled over their bed sound asleep when the sun is rising instead of grumbling about only getting two hours of sleep that night before the sun rose.]

[So after getting his "present" (a cat, really Misaki?) from his over-excited boyfriend (who also got himself a cat because Misaki is weak), Fushimi really doesn't know what to expect for the rest of the day.

What to expect is, apparently, pizza, games, and people he vaguely knows being invited to come over? What the fuck is this?

Still, Fushimi is going to be nice and be social for a few hours so Misaki doesn't sulk at him. Poke the birthday boy, poke people coming to poke the birthday boy, Chikusa you are not invited, Judar stop threatening the cats.]

[ At least, aside from all the papers, the room was quite luxurious. He knew it'd catch her off guard, but he wasn't expecting a storage room comment. ]

[ Even an extravagant room won't look as nice when you've got stuff strewn all over the place. ]

[ The mess helped diffuse the situation for her though, and now she was even peeking inside curiously. ]

[ Well, it was either a library explosion or his head, or so that's how it felt. This definitely did enough to take her off that aggressive personality. For now he'll lean against the doorway and not make many more movements. If she's going to look then it was pretty much a given permission. ]

[ Actual magic. Not some weird flirtation. ]

[ She picks up one of the papers, though the writings made zero sense to her. It definitely wasn't instructions on how to make pigeons come out of your hat. ]

[ It was all a mix of geometry and a weird language that she couldn't even begin to understand, so it shouldn't make any sense to most people. Lavi was really the weird one in all of this.

Chinatsu tosses it back, not really bothering to fix it since the place was a mess anyway, then picks up another. Not like they made sense, but they were still somewhat interesting to look at. ]

[ She can refuse her loss, but he still won. That's the important thing here.

His expression darkens a bit as one of the books is tossed back. That's enough being on the side- he'll push off the frame of the door to retrieve the next book that she picked up before that one gets tossed. ]

I didn't find them. So the next time you decide to toss one of these, I'll shut you in a pit and make you write up the same amount of books worth on information you consider valuable.

[ She's about to retort when he so rudely takes it from her, but his words were surprisingly...serious. So even he had this side to him. ]

[ Maybe not the best apology, but she meant it. She for one wouldn't want someone disrespecting what she liked. She's more careful as she picks up another. Again, it made no sense to her, but now that she knew they were so important to her, she was curious. ]

[ For a couple of moments, he watched her with that same seriousness before going to retrieve the book that had been tossed. Only to find the page it was open on and put it back in the area she retrieved it from.

While chaos, it seems that there was reason and logic behind it all. ]

[ As if it were a shocker to her that he could do things that weren't just annoying. ]

These're all formulas, and what's written are elements, but that doesn't automatically say what it's supposed to do. It's my language.

[ He just doesn't remember the significance or how it's acted out. He hasn't tried remembering, either. Instead he went to trying to solve it the normal way. By using someone with special brain capabilities to make this go faster and fill in the gaps. ]

...You mean from where you're from or like...actually your language?

[ The way he described it made him sound more like a scientist than a magician though. That seemed like a whole lot of information to have on you. She didn't blame him for wanting to get it all out. ]

I mean..if you've got the formulas and stuff..can't you just try them out?

[ See, that first question just earns Chinatsu a shrug in return. There's no way of knowing whether it's where he's from or one he made- Lavi said it wasn't exactly an actual language in this world, from what he could tell. So he's at a true loss right there. ]

I could, sure. But some of them can cause things like tornadoes that chase people as part of what happens.

[ Can you see what the problem is with just trying spells that can actually do anything? ]

[ Chinatsu looks back at him, not really having a comment for that. Just a look of 'why' on his face. ]

[ Nothing to do with deadly forces of nature or unfair advantages for games? ]

[ However,t hat unfair advantage lets him get a different view when scouting or searching, be it for someone lost or a bunch of dangers. Which is why he counters the question. ]

Good is so subjective. Tornadoes and ice can be used to fight ayakashi. I've got all kinds of spells though- with some like that, only an idiot would go and try them out without understanding what it could do.
