May Training
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: November 21st
Where: Outside the Meeting Hall, the Far Shore & Capypa Land
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods and shinki

Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided to the rear of the Meeting Hall, where a traditionally styled dojo and training ground have been made available for the day. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.
Once they've had a chance to have things explained, they'll have the chance (veterans and new arrivals alike) to go spend the rest of the day in a very magical place...!

God Training
- Newly arrived gods are escorted into a much nicer room than the warehouse where the last set of new gods got their informational speech. It's a smaller meeting room, with tatami floors and a small dais at the front of the room where the speaker stands. A minor deity is giving the speech, and none of the white-robed shinki enter.
The speaker is a few minutes late, and looks rushed and a bit stressed, but delivers her speech with the intonation of someone who's practiced it many times. They are encouraged to discuss the information with each other and ask questions of more experienced gods, as well as instructed to guide their new shinki appropriately.
Shinki Training
- Various shinki in the white-and-gold of Amaterasu's hosuehold are stationed around the dojo, passing out old "From Ama" magazines with articles describing the Heavens, profiling important gods, and interviewing successful shinki. They will be happy to answer any questions or instruct the newcomers in the use of the borderline. They also accompany their answers, or lessons, with an explanation of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. Shinki are encouraged to work together to practice what they've learned and discuss their perspectives.
The dojo doesn't seem quite prepared for everyone's arrival; the usual weapons are nowhere to be seen, the animated targets are missing, and there aren't even any standard paper or straw targets for newcomers to train with. The space is still available, though, in case any gods want to transform and practice working with their new shinki.
Rides and Refreshments
- Capypa Land is a theme park filled with roller coasters, themed rides, movies, costumed mascot characters dressed as Capypa and plenty of opportunities for photographs, souvenirs and sightseeing! Restaurants and snack stands throughout the park mean lots of places to relax and grab lunch, and there's even a winter illumination -- thousands of lights twinkle to life on trees and buildings around the park after night falls.
(Think Disneyland, themed on cartoon capybara instead of cartoon mice.)
Rather than put together a reception at the Meeting Hall, today, the white-robed heavenly shinki are offering new arrivals tickets to Capypa Land and guiding them to the park entrance. Newcomers can relax, enjoy themselves and get to know their new gods or shinki in a family-friendly environment. Any more experienced gods or shinki who volunteer to help with the training can claim one of the Capypa Land tickets for themselves, too. Buy yourself a Capypa ear headband, mingle with the Friday crowds, have your picture taken with a mascot, and don't forget to stay for the dinnertime parade and fireworks!
The Happiest Place on Earth?
- Capypa Land is a theme park in the Near Shore, so it's not quite as safe from ayakashi as the Heavens. Can anyone be sad in such a happy place? Well... stressed families, long lines, angry customers and bad dates produce enough negative emotion to attract occasional ayakashi. Make sure to keep an eye out for malicious spirits, from tiny little insects buzzing around and raising family tension to bigger boogeymen created by childhood fears.
On the other hand, maybe this is an opportunity! Why not lend a hand and practice your teamwork by rending a few of those ayakashi? With so many gods and shinki at the park for the day, all those troublesome spirits can be exorcised to make sure the park visitors have a truly magical time.

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Visit Capypa Land
- Have fun~

[ Have a very judgemental look. ]
You think? You don't know your birthday?
[ Could he return him? ]
no subject
I can't help it if I can't remember! [He irritably points at one of the pamphlets at his feet, the one about the shinki basics and an introduction to the borderline technique he was trying out earlier.] Apparently that's supposed to happen or something? I dunno!
no subject
Very well. I have no choice after all, nanodayo.
[ He pushes up his glasses. ]
I will name you and you will remember your name.
[ He declares, as if doing so would make it so. Still, with Midorima, who knows. ]
Come.
[ Rather than extending a hand out to him in partnership, Midorima turns and starts walking off without a word, fully expecting him to follow. ]
no subject
[He stays where he is and stews for a few moments, but when Midorima doesn't stop walking, he growls and jogs after.]
Oi...
no subject
The only appropriate place for a naming ceremony is at the god's temple who's walls will become the shinki's home and refuge.
[ Really, Shin-chan? ]
no subject
So...your temple, then?
no subject
no subject
...All right...
[He can go along with this. For now.]
no subject
Don't move.
[ Beneath him, the wind starts pick up and in a few moments there's some air pressure building beneath them and the two of them slowly begin to levitate?? But up and up they go, Midorima choosing to use his wind to transport them to his temple this once considering the occasion. ]
no subject
[Before Sawatari can brace himself, the air lifts him from underneath.]
W-woah! You can do that?!
no subject
[ And off they go, deep into the forest, and soon enough they arrive at the entrance to his temple. He doesn't let him linger on the decor and is soon stepping through the entrance expecting Shingo to follow along. ]
This way.
[ As Shingo stands at the entrance, the eye of Horus located at the top of the entrance will follow his every movement until he enters before sending that information to Midorima. In other words, just try sneaking out on his watch! ]
no subject
[He doesn't get that question answered before they arrive at the temple, though. But my, what a temple! As if Shingo would try sneaking out of this, it's clearly a place of luxury and refinement, and he wants his name so he can finally use some powers or something.
...Not before he spends a few moments staring at the interesting statues at the front gate and giving them a critical once over, though. Is that supposed to be the real form of the god he's serving or something?
Eventually, though, he'll follow.]
Yeah, yeah, coming!
no subject
[ In other words, he's not sure. Something he doesn't linger on as he leads him through the entrance and into the Temple of Horus. Here in the center of the divine temple dedicated to his predecessor, Midorima stops. Here. He'll name him here. ]
Are you ready?
no subject
[Sawatari flinches at the sudden question, then stands at attention.]
Heh, I've been ready!
no subject
[ He pushes up his glasses before locking eyes with his shinki in the solitary room of his predecessor. Behind him the wind picks up, and the temple of Horus seems to gain a heavenly glow as god and shinki begin their pact. ]
My name is Horus. [ He raises two fingers in front of him. ] Grasping thy true name, I bind thee here. [ He continues as a heavenly blue begins to glow from each digit as he begins writing his name in Kanji form in long precise strokes. ] With borrowed name, I dub thee my servant. The name answers, the vessel to sound. I call thee as my divine instrument. The name, Shingo. The vessel, Shou. [ The Kanji glows proudly 昌, before he moves on to the next, finishing it just in time. ] Come, Shouki! 昌器
no subject
Shouki, though...that's him? Is he supposed to step forward, now? And why is his right eyelid feeing kinda...twitchy?]
no subject
Midorima gives him a moment to transform, considering his character, he doesn't suppose it'll go smoothly. ]
no subject
-well for one thing, he's smaller. Like, only a foot tall. And also fluffier. His whole body's covered in brown and pale tan fur, and he's got a tail, and a cute little outfit, and an eyepiece, and...
well, he's clearly not human-shaped, anyways. What he is, however, is a serious question.]
H-hey! What the hell-!
[Good thing nobody else is here to see this indignity, even if Midorima's the only one who can understand his outraged squeaking (oh yeah by the way, he squeaks).]
no subject
.......
[ Looking at it closer, it almost looks like the antique badger he bought once for Cancer's lucky item. He draws closer, squinting behind his glasses and he see's the familiar face. ]
Shouki?
no subject
What about this is "wind powers"?!
[Okay, so he knew he had to transform into something, but he was expecting like...I dunno, a cool weapon or something. Or at least a real animal. Not this...cat...badger...weasel...thing!!!!!]
no subject
Try manipulating the wind.
[ An order. He's confidant they can work out what his powers are with time and patience. ]
no subject
...Except he's not entirely sure how. Maybe these giant sleeves are supposed to be fans or something?
...Nah. Trying to flap his arms gets nothing, even when he tries to jump in the air. Trying to blow air from his mouth doesn't work either. What is manipulating the wind how do you do this]
Pbbfffff...haah! [INDIGNANT SQUEAKING NOISES.]
1/2
[ Good thing emotions don't work both ways, he can sense his but Shingo can't read his own disappointment as he swings his arms carelessly. Truly the Heaven's were testing him. ]
2/2
no subject
[Whiiiiine.]
Seriously, how do you manipulate wind? I've never tried this before! [At least, from what he can remember!]
