Susano'o Trashes Heaven

Who: Sho Minamimoto vs. Everyone!
What: Susano'o decides to take on Heaven. Chaos results.

Summary: In a bid to take over Heaven, Sho has unleashed an apocalyptic number of taboo ayakashi the biggest Heaven-wrecking godmode weapon this side of the Far Shore. It doesn't end well. Get ready for spring cleaning 2.0.
Warnings: Math, strong language, casual disembowelment and other violence, NPC death, potential for character death.

Susano'o, Selfies, and the Subjugation of Heaven

As he'd revealed in his 3 AM BBS post, Sho has a variety of fascinating ayakashi that he wants to share with the world. By noon, several large heaps located in various parts of Heaven have caught on fire and there is a massive outpouring of taboo ayakashi.

Concentrated primarily near the Meeting Hall and Susano'o's junk heap of a temple, these ayakashi attack shinki and gods on sight. They're vicious, powerful, and the only way to defeat them is the power of teamwork.

At 2 PM, Joshua will be providing some helpful tips. Meanwhile, Sho will be teleport-spamming throughout Heaven. Feel free to text him, but he'll stop answering right around the time Bishamon and Hajime start to catch up to him. (Picowatt will be helping out from there on!)

Boss Fight: Seiten Taisei and the Neoclassical Drakes

It's the zero hour, exactly 43,200 seconds since he posted his warning to the BBS when Sho decides to change the game. Heaven has rallied against him, gods and shinki alike, and it's time to pull out the big guns.

In the air above the Meeting Hall, he unleashes thirteen Neoclassical Drakes before releasing Seiten Taisei.

And, suddenly, it's entrails everywhere.

Post-Battle Spring Cleaning

Well, the day is saved, but there's a metric ton left to do. The mass slaughter left a bit of a bloody mess, and Susano'o has shrines on the Near Shore covered in graffiti that can turn any stray ayakashi into the taboo sort. Weird and corrupt magics all over the place, some of which are on fire. His junkyard temple is burning merrily, and there are still some stray taboo ayakashi to put down.

Anyone ready for Spring Cleaning 2.0? Grab a mop.

That's what I thought, but it is, though, right? An Ayakashi?

[Some innate godhood thing tells him he is, makes his heart beat heart and loud, telling him he should take care of it, but his self-preservation telling him to just back the hell up and run.

And he might have well done that, except 2 other of these creatures showed up behind him.]

Ah...!

[He took a couple steps the other way, bumping into Genos' back.]

[ Genos first instinct is always to either shoot the enemy or try and either punch it or kick in close ranger. Which generally isn't a good idea, because even if kick might send ayakashi flying away, it won't hurt it. While Genos will need to take care of the blight later. ]

You know what you have to do. [ That's it, they need to work together. Too bad Genos new vessel form is a shield. Good thing it's big and heavy, and can be bashed into those things. ]

[He looks at Genos, eyes wide and boring down on the other man.]

Are you sure? ...Maybe it's better if we wait for a veteran God and Shinki?

[He says it as if he were being a responsible man, not cowardly.]

[ Genos stops for a second to consider it. Because hey, it does make sense. He's a shield. He might be able to protect his god, but in his vessel form he won't much of use in a fight. Combining forces with other team of gods--

Another of these creatures approaches and Genos jumps right in front of it, pointing both of his hands towards it and blasting it with heave wave. This time he lands a hit ]

They don't seem to be a big threat [ ....yeah underestimating his enemies like usual ] We can handle them.

[ Because who cares about teamwork ]

[King's engine revs in hope as Genos considers his proposal, but his heart breaks as soon as Genos fires a blast. That pretty much guarantees he's not going to be able to get away--at least, not without Genos. But could he leave him behind? Being a shinki was different than a fellow S-Class hero, right? Ugh, if only Genos remembered how much of a scaredy-cat King was.

His trouble thoughts are interrupted by one of the ayakashi lunging for him, and in desperation he lifts his arm up, prepared this time for the weight of the shield and so when Genos transformed it would be right in the path of the charging mink:]

Tsunki!

[ Fortunately a shinki-shield acts not just any obstacle, but actively pushes away the ayakashi. It's hard to say how hurt it got, but it seems to rather carefully circle King now, not lunge forward. ]

It's confused! Try and throw me at it!

[ Yeah, Genos doesn't realize how stupid his suggestion sounds ]

[When Genos is a shield can he see King? He hopes not, because that that suggestion his eyes go momentarily wide in panic. In a deadpan voice, caused by the tightness of his throat muscles from fear, he replies bluntly:]

You're a shield that's bigger than me, a 6'2" man, and you want me to throw you.

That's a "no"? [ Genos sounds disappointed ] You seems strong enough.

[ But there is no time to argue, because two of those monsters circle around and attack King at his blindspot. Genos can't conventionally "see" but he does sense danger around. And he reacts quickly, instinctively granting his god- something. ]

[It's flattering Genos thinks so, but most of his bulk-look was the bare minimum of weight lifting to keep him from being as pencil-thin as he once was and the magic of slightly baggy shirts. As such he was strong enough to heft and move the shield, at least, but he didn't think he could even hold it over his head, let alone throw it.

King feels the impact of the ayakashi before he sees it, since he was distracted by . . . hiding himself fully behind a shield. Maybe he should look around it once in awhile, huh? No time to chastise himself, though, because he's screaming, thinking he just had a chunk taken out of his side and liver. He screamed and yelped and--

--and realized he wasn't in pain. He swung around to try to peer at his side where he was sure the ayakashi had hit, accidentally knocking it away with Genos in the process, and is shocked to find himself fine.]

How--?

[Maybe he should worry about the mystery later...]

Are you hurt? [ The attack was sudden, and by all means his god should not only receive an injury but be blighted as well. But surprisingly enough another attack aimed at King's calf, ends being ineffective. ]

I see... Not just vessel form that changes, but the power bestowed upon god too. [ And it's a defensive skill. Just great. ]

[He gives another shout, but this time out of startlement than thinking he was in pain as it lunched for his leg. He swung the shield around, swatting it aside like he would shooing an obnoxious fly away. He retreats a bit, peering over the edge at the three minks as they got themselves back in order and began to spread out, stalking around them like wolves after prey. King put his back to a tree to help with that blind spot, but his heart is hammering so hard he's wondering if gods can have heart attacks.]

As long as I hold you I'm invulnerable??

[He could almost cry if this were true. This would be a dream come true. He would never let Genos out of his grip if so.]

Hopefully. [ But no, he isn't sure. He had to... activate, or cast, whatever word is proper for this, for it to happen. There is no telling how long it last. ]

You must weaken them first before rending them. Use that invulnerability to your advantage!

[ It's easy for you to give orders Genos, you're a shield ]

How??

[He repeats himself from earlier. If Genos doesn't know how to be an offensive weapon as a shield, then how in the world was King supposed to know? His mind rushes through any and all video games he has ever played. If it were smaller he could throw it, like that one woman from that one FPS, but it was so big and--

One of the minks came rushing at them from the side, seeing an opening. Without thought, he tries Genos' earlier advice and throws him.

Well...it went further than King thought it would. So at least those push ups and bicep curls he did in his free time to look more the hero part had some uses. But to King, a satisfactory distance was about 7 feet, and Genoshield just sort of caught on the ground by the bottom and toppled forward.

The mink easily dodges it, but it does zip away. However, the other two, seeing him sans protection, move in making all sorts of frightening, excited noises.]

A-Ah, shoot, shoot--!

[He scrambles forward for Genos.]

[ And Genos being a weapon form can't really do anything. He might be able to slightly affect the direction if he's in the move, but just lying on the ground he's-- well, a heavy shield.

This is so not working as it's supposed to. ]

If throwing doesn't work, maybe try to bash them with me? The faster you can get, the stronger impact will be.

[ Yeah, that might make sense in theory but-- ]

[He somehow miraculously makes it to the shield before he's double tagged by the minks. Grabbing it he swings it around, clipping one and making it back off, but the other bites at his leg again. It only clips him like before, and he feels it, hears his pants rip, but again, doesn't feel anything. He backs off a bit, and feeling an odd sense of bravery thanks to the invulnerability he rushes forward with the shield, smashing the ayakashi between a tree and the shield.

Well, calling it "smashing" is a generous verb to use. Probably more...tapping against the tree? It gave a squawk but is easily able to knock King back and free himself.

As King stumbles back, he backs into another tree, an errant, broken branch digging into his leg.]

Ow! Cr--

[He pants. Do gods need to pant or is he just remembering panting? Either way, he's panting.]

Okay, either the invulnerability thing doesn't work on trees or it wore off...

It might be a timed thing. [ Genos muses. ] It's safe to assume so, since it's not permanently on upon equipping me.

[ Okay, that does sounds so weird to say, but Genos doesn't even register that fact. He's more concerned with figuring out how his newly acquired power. He'd be tapping his chin, if he had it right now. ]

But there is possibility that it works only on the ayakashi. Either way, be careful. There's one behind you.

[He's barely listening to what Genos is saying, his heart beat too loud in his ears.

He does hear the warning, though, and he swings the shielf with a shout, managing to catch the creature by the body and thwacking it hard between shield and tree. He was feeling pretty good about this obviously feat of competent fighting (he totally didn't do it by accident) until the mink made a loud screech and darted away, seemingly perfectly fine.

He's afraid to ask if this was normal or if he was just sucking this hard, but they didn't seem too affected by any godly attack, aside from inconvenienced.]

[ This is looking worse by every second, to be honest. The minks seems to shrug off the attacks, but then, it's an attack made with a shield. ]

That's useless. Call me back to my normal form. I'll try to attack them conventionally.

[ He can't kill them yes, they will grow back even if reduced to ashes. But they're going to be easier to hit when they're just ashes. ]

Let me weaken them before we attack again.
