Summary: In a bid to take over Heaven, Sho has unleashed an apocalyptic number of taboo ayakashi the biggest Heaven-wrecking godmode weapon this side of the Far Shore. It doesn't end well. Get ready for spring cleaning 2.0.

Susano'o, Selfies, and the Subjugation of Heaven

As he'd revealed in his 3 AM BBS post, Sho has a variety of fascinating ayakashi that he wants to share with the world. By noon, several large heaps located in various parts of Heaven have caught on fire and there is a massive outpouring of taboo ayakashi.

Concentrated primarily near the Meeting Hall and Susano'o's junk heap of a temple, these ayakashi attack shinki and gods on sight. They're vicious, powerful, and the only way to defeat them is the power of teamwork.

At 2 PM, Joshua will be providing some helpful tips. Meanwhile, Sho will be teleport-spamming throughout Heaven. Feel free to text him, but he'll stop answering right around the time Bishamon and Hajime start to catch up to him. (Picowatt will be helping out from there on!)

Boss Fight: Seiten Taisei and the Neoclassical Drakes

It's the zero hour, exactly 43,200 seconds since he posted his warning to the BBS when Sho decides to change the game. Heaven has rallied against him, gods and shinki alike, and it's time to pull out the big guns.

In the air above the Meeting Hall, he unleashes thirteen Neoclassical Drakes before releasing Seiten Taisei.

And, suddenly, it's entrails everywhere.

Post-Battle Spring Cleaning

Well, the day is saved, but there's a metric ton left to do. The mass slaughter left a bit of a bloody mess, and Susano'o has shrines on the Near Shore covered in graffiti that can turn any stray ayakashi into the taboo sort. Weird and corrupt magics all over the place, some of which are on fire. His junkyard temple is burning merrily, and there are still some stray taboo ayakashi to put down.

Anyone ready for Spring Cleaning 2.0? Grab a mop.

A man with deplorable taste. I saw his post and I couldn't believe what he did.

[Sheryl scowls, displeasure visible. There's something freeing about being able to talk like this, now that the mink-like ayakashi won't be bothering — at least for now. She glances around warily, making sure no more are coming.]

Honestly, he calls himself a hero like this?!

[sanzohoshi]

I just don't understand... What's the point? Chaos for chaos's sake? If people want answers, this is hardly the way to go about it.

In fact, this might just have a negative impact on all of us, if the Heavens decide to tighten their grip on us more because of this. [Sanzang frowns a little, considering this heavily. There were a lot of downsides and not a lot of upsides that she could see.]

Well, maybe Amaterasu will be merciful...

[galactically]

"A final solution for ayakashi", that's what he said. He claims that they won't attack mortals, but then he goes and attacks us instead.

[She grimaces at Sanzang's words, taking them into account. What if the Heavens decides to punish everyone because of one god's idea of a hostile takeover?]

I hope Miss Amaterasu ruins him thoroughly — socially and biologically. She can leave the rest of us out of it. We didn't do anything wrong!

[sanzohoshi]

The ravings of a mad man, possibly... But it's something worth looking into, if those ayakashi really aren't attacking mortals. Is he controlling them, and if so, how?

[Still, Sanzang moves over to pat Sheryl on the arm, making a soothing noise] There, there, don't worry about it! Everything will turn out like it's supposed to-- we can't look on the past too much. Even if the road cracks before us, all we can do is find a way over it and keep moving forward.

We'll get through this too! I'm sure they'll see reason when they see how many of us jumped in to help clean up and take him down!

[galactically]

I wonder about that, too... and they look so different from the ayakashi I've seen before.

[Sheryl even made sure to read through another post by some Tsukuyomi fellow, whoever he is. "A non-ayakashi half" of the monsters, according to him. This is no time to sulk either way, not when there are more creatures on the attack, so she straightens up, a determined look and a clenched fist to one side.]

Then what are we waiting for? As goddesses, there are people who need our protection, and monsters who need to be put in their place.

[sanzohoshi]

I think these are the first I've really seen. They don't normally look like this?

[Sanzang eyes Sheryl as she straightens up and her smile is gentle.] Are you used to battle? [Sanang doesn't think she is, which makes her bravery both more amazing and incredibly sad]

[galactically]

The old ones I've seen aren't as ugly... but it doesn't matter. They are all equally atrocious.

[Experiences have colored her perception of ayakashi; they make even the Vajra look soft and cuddly in comparison, and at they can at least be understood through the power of music.

Sheryl pauses, resting her fingertips on her throat as she feels the vibrations.]

I had my own battles. Just nothing like this.

[Her tone is low and grim. She once sung to stop the Vajra from attacking Frontier, then liberated them with Ranka's help. Jumping mid-battle, however, is different.]

[sanzohoshi]

[Sanzang watches her again, expression thoughtful.] A lot of people seem to be thrown into battle for the first time in this place... It's really unfortunate.

[She laughs softly because jeez, isn't that putting it lightly?] You can fight for peace all you like, but it's a battle hard won. "Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world. By non-hatred alone is hatred appeased. This is a law eternal."

It's all a little contradictory, huh? [Sanzang muses on this a moment, before giving Sheryl a warm smile] There's no shame in stepping back if it gets too much. No one should expect more from you than what you can actually do.

[galactically]

[Coming into contact with danger, it's such a similar scenario to Sheryl yet different in how she faces it. Glancing over at Sanzang, she exhales softly as she mulls over her words.]

Truer words have never been spoken. It's as if the bad things in life are there to remind us of the good, no matter how much they contradict.

[Poetic words are easily understood by a songwriter like herself, even in rough times like these. She shakes her head, jutting her chin up.]

Stepping back? [A long pause.] I really hate not doing something when I have the power to do it. I wouldn't be Sheryl Nome, otherwise.

[sanzohoshi]

[Sanzang looks briefly surprised and then laughs happily, grinning]

That's the spirit! What nice eyes you have! I'm the same way; the worst thing you could do is total inaction. Even if it's hard, keep fighting! [She does a little cheer for emphasis.]

When this is all over, let's get together again and discuss that concert for real. Everyone's going to need a lot of cheering up after this!

[galactically]

[The more Sheryl hears Sanzang speak, the more she likes her. Not that seeing determined women like herself is a rare occurrence (she's met a few already!), but those exact words resonate in her. She can relate to them.

A quiet, haughty laugh slips out.]

Other parts of me are nice, too, you know~. Still, I'm glad you and I are in the same page. [Her expression perks up at the last part.] As long as I can still sing, this concert must happen.

[sanzohoshi]

Mm, that's true too! You're very pretty, and you have very nice legs! Perfect for dancing! [Sanzang stop]

Yes, sing to your heart's content! Sing and resonate with everyone! With you, me, and Sanae on the job, between the three of us I'm sure we can soothe and bolster everyone's hearts!

[She's energized now, a brighter goal in mind now besides just 'stop this crazy bullshit from happening.' Sanzang laughs and dances in place a little, letting some of her power out to give Sheryl a boost to her own energy and strength] What a good goal to work to! Sheryl, I'm glad we've become friends!

[She's decided this, they're friends now, no take-backs.]

[galactically]

You have very nice proportions for dancing, too, you know. [SHERYL, THIS IS NOT THE TIME]

[Sing, and she can resonate with humanity. Sing, and the ayakashi can be stopped. Her thoughts linger for a while longer until she feels a sudden boost of power, a light and gentle sensation coursing through her body as she watches Sanzang dances, wide eyed.

It's as if a wind breezes through her body with each stop. No wonder Sanzang has so much confidence if she can move like that.

Well shit, she might have some competition, after all. She actually chuckles, thinking it'll be a fun one.]

My, I've made such an interesting friend. I never expect to meet someone whose power relies on dance.

[sanzohoshi]

Oh, do I? Thank you! [She blushes, pleased, and smiles brightly.]

I haven't met anyone whose power relies on song, either! We'd make quite the team, huh? It's too bad one of us isn't a shinki, I'd love to partner up with you!

Well-- This is good too! [She laughs and reaches out to take Sheryl's hands, giving them a squeeze] And hey, whenever you want me to dance for you, I'd be glad to! My dances can heal or strengthen attacks and people for a little while, I can give you that extra boost! Or it can just help you relax too. I used to dance after battles a lot to help everyone calm down. I don't mind if you're the only audience!

[galactically]

[Sheryl might look just the tiniest bit amused at seeing Sanzang blush; she has a penchant for that, sometimes.]

Music is power. I know this too well. [A small laugh] Hey, I love being a goddess too much, what can I say?

[An owlish look flashes on her face for a second before it fades into one of confidence, maybe some fondness, squeezing Sanzang's hands in return.]

I don't usually say this often, but it's not everyday that I have another entertainer dance for me. A new experience for me to remember for sure!
