[They've been in this clothing store for ten minutes now, and Jae-Ha is already wondering what he's supposed to do with his own taste in fashion. He can't seem to find any of the long robes he likes, and the pants he's run across are too tight for his liking. He's not even looking at shoes, for some reason, and eventually, he slides over to pinch at the material of a strange looking coat with a collar that's too big.]

I don't think I've seen a single thing I can see myself in. Have you?

I wouldn't just leave you.

[It's nice that he doesn't demand a ride instantly like some people would, not that he can remember most of the ones who would. A walk is nice, from time to time! Here with their lame bags, enjoying each others company... He glances forward again as he thinks on this.]

Besides that, I like this city.

[Please... Anyway, he usually walks everywhere, so the only problem this time is he has to carry this bag all day. That's going to suck later, but for now - it's a fine day, they found some fine clothes, and Jae-Ha is fine company! All very nice.]

It's bigger than I thought from takin' that bus ride. I'm admittedly kinda taken aback by just how much city there is.

It feels so much larger than I think to expect! It's very busy, isn't it?

[It is very foreign to Jae-Ha, as well. Even without memories, there's a feel to a city, right? And this seems... much busier than what he's used to.] The buildings are all so tall, I don't recognize a thing. But the people... just watching them go about their days, it's warming, somehow.

[It's too much city, he doesn't like it. His house is too big, the city is too big... can he move to a farm, please.]

Y'think so? All said and done, all the busy folk make me restless.

Well, I do think something a little smaller would be more homey. A nice, tight knit group of people who all know each other... Something like that.

[He's thought about this a lot.] But since we can't be seen very easily, to have that many more people around almost makes up for the loneliness of it.

[Family Values... yes, he loves that small town vibe, not that he can be as open about it because he's a loser.]

Everybody knew everybody in the town I lived in growin' up. It was a real treat, most of the time. If the neighbors weren't houndin' ya for playin' too loud.

[He can be sentimental like this only because he can't come out and say that the small town vibe is why he couldn't bear to stay, oops. So, crepes.]

Something about that sounds so nostalgic. It must have been nice.

[He doesn't know that he's pushing a sad topic for Hazel, here. He's too busy admiring the idea of it, himself. And wondering about his own past... He knows very well that he shouldn't be trying to puzzle this out, and yet, he still tries.]

I'd like to hear about it some time, if you ever feel like sharing.

[It's nostalgic in that it kills him inside to think about it, does that count? He manages a shrug - it was nice, objectively, just not for very long.

But, well... One day he might feel like sharing, which is an interesting not-quite-feeling to have. He probably shouldn't - but that there's a what if at all is a surprise.]

We'll see. Did I mention I was good at sports as a boy? [He did, but also, this is a safer topic.] Best kick in the whole town, if ya ask me.

You did mention that. [He figures there must be a reason for bringing it up again, so he's not going to poke fun around a topic like this. He was honest with wanting to hear it, like Hazel had requested earlier, and now he'd see what he could learn. It was nice like this, just walking and talking.]

I don't know a single sport, myself, but anything involving a good kick can catch my interest. What sport was this?

[Yeah, sports!! He liked sports, without any depressing baggage, so this will do. Also he really was excellent, as a plus.]

We called it "kickin' the ball 'round," but I reckon there's a more official name out there for it. We were just boys, after all.

And you had the strongest kick in town? Is your kick impressive now that you're no longer just a boy?

Probably is! I get my practice in here and there.

[Kicking people in the head... This is fine.]

[Kick something, someone, he doesn't care just do it.]

Mercy, not now. Let the suspense build.

The suspense has been building from your first mention. Just a kick or two, one time. It's not so unusual to play a game, or train...

[Sweet merciful lord, he's so Passionate about kicking. That's kind of weird, and yet...]

Cross my heart, I'll show ya sometime. I'll even get a ball. The whole nine yards.

I'll be looking forward to it.

[YESSsss... Hazel must have some strength about him, right? If he did, imagine that! A wonderful kick, or a powerful one, either way... Hm. Well, it's something to think about now, and he does just that as he looks forward and walks with an extra bit of pep in his step.

Is it so wrong to admire others?]

[It's just... kicks, that's all! It's a very niche thing to admire, but it's fine. It's fine!!

Walking along...] So where's this crepe place of yours?

[razzledazzles]

It's just up ahead, across that street there.

[He wraps his free arm loosely around Hazel's shoulders, encouraging him forward with a smile.]

Remember, it's my treat, so get what you'd like.

[churchbelle]

[Oh, that's very friendly. Hazel doesn't mind this gesture of friendship.]

I'll hold ya to that. I'm starvin' all of a sudden, so be prepared.

[razzledazzles]

You need the energy, running on so little sleep. I can spare the money for that.

[Don't try to make him broke, though, punk. He pats that shoulder and slips ahead to finish leading the way. Once they're actually at the crepe shop, Jae-Ha holds the door open and gestures for Hazel to go inside. It's tiny, but very cute.]

Decide what you'd like and I'll order for us.

[Maybe he needs 80 crepes to stay awake?? Jae-Ha kept him up, he should take responsibility.

This little shop, though... It's tiny enough to make him feel less invisible, which is nice. He peers through the menu before picking one of the excessively adorable crepes, one with excessively many banana slices all over it. Nice.]

[razzledazzles]

[Ah, a cute banana one... Alright.]

I should probably pick one of the savory ones... but that cheesecake one is too alluring to pass up. [He can't help it... look at them, they're gorgeous.] Why don't you pick a seat? I'll order and bring them over.

[He has to linger and talk or they'll forget about their existence, so he goes up to do this now.]

[Hazel would be happy to go sit somewhere and not have to hold anyone's attention, thanks. He moseys over to a table by the front window, nudging his shopping bag under it as he sinks into a chair. Waiting for crepes...

And they look super delicious whenever they finally arrive, god bless this country.]

These're bigger in person, too. [so much... fruit..... tie to try a bite and fall in love with fancy crepes.] I've never had somethin' quite so sweet.

[Jae-Ha tries his own small bite, enjoying the taste before he smiles across at Hazel.]

So you like it? [He looks like he likes it.] It's amazingly sweet. It seems we've chosen to have dessert for lunch.
