Who: Jae-Ha (
razzledazzles) & Hazel (
churchbelle)
What: Two nerds go shopping / Also using this now for sad angst
When: April 17th / April 20th
Where: Out on the town... or something
Warnings: Don't look at them they're stupid
[They've been in this clothing store for ten minutes now, and Jae-Ha is already wondering what he's supposed to do with his own taste in fashion. He can't seem to find any of the long robes he likes, and the pants he's run across are too tight for his liking. He's not even looking at shoes, for some reason, and eventually, he slides over to pinch at the material of a strange looking coat with a collar that's too big.]
I don't think I've seen a single thing I can see myself in. Have you?

Anyway, for now he's looking at a grotesque mistake of a tie, glancing up to see Jae-Ha doing poorly at shopping.]
Well, this is a nice piece, isn't it?
no subject
[He can't even be gentle about his distaste here, what the fuck is that?? Jae-Ha drops the strange coat he'd been touching so he can cross his arms in his judgement. Clothing stores are a mystery to him, even more than he knows.]
Besides that, an accessory doesn't help much with what we're looking for.
no subject
That's a bit harsh, ain't it? I thought it looked stylish. [His little feelings are now hurt, maybe he'll buy this out of spite.]
What's the problem with accessories?
no subject
[It's with these fake, weird jewels and the design and the existence of bolo ties. He peers over Hazel's shoulder at it.] But we should start with clothing before we accessorize, right?
no subject
I like the color. And the shape. It's not a bad-lookin' thing. Speak for yourself, besides, if ya haven't found anythin'.
no subject
Not a single thing looks like what I'd wear.
[What is all of this shirts and pants business?? No robes?? Hazel's taste is clearly questionable, but to make up for his butthurt, Jae-Ha still speaks up.] Why don't you suggest something that would look nice on me?
[Enlighten him.]
no subject
Somethin' besides one of those robes? [He's so... old timey. But alright, Hazel will do his best. He drapes the great tie over his arm so he can keep making Jae-Ha look at it and turns away from the accessories to go look at some nice shirts. What if Jae-Ha wore a nice shirt?
Actually.] What've ya got on under that thing?
no subject
You're asking me to strip in public? How scandalous... Putting on a show for all of these people, they'll definitely notice!
[He wants to do this, it's so clear. He unbuttons the first section of buttons to let his robe slip off a shoulder and reveal his hideous undershirt.]
But for you, I'll strip!
no subject
Hazel doesn't know what to do. For the first time in A Few Days, he is at a loss. He glances left and right a few times, wondering how many people are now suddenly aware of the stripper in their midst. Huh...]
That ain't a shirt, I'm afraid.
no subject
[He isn't pulling his robe back up. He definitely just wanted to take his clothes off in public. It's an Urge, don't look at him.
Meanwhile, a handful of people are looking at him. There are whispers.... and Jae-Ha even waves at a couple of cute girls who are too flustered by this creep to do much more than gasp in surprise. Where did he come from.]
no subject
We'll get ya a nice shirt that covers all the essentials.
no subject
So long as it looks nice, my style can change a little, I suppose.
no subject
It's green. Jae-Ha likes green. Hazel isn't good at this.]
Here, try that one.

April 20th
He doesn't know why, right away. This room looks completely foreign in the dark, and Kija isn't there with him. Kija's so far... Vaguely, he's aware by now what's happened. He can tell by the empty feeling in his gut that something very important to him is missing. It's been torn from him and Kija both and now they're even separate, countless miles away from each other as Jae-Ha stumbles out of bed in a blind panic.
Is she really gone? Or is she just in danger? This could be a cry for help. Something could be happening— panicked by this feeling that's deeper than he can understand without his memories, he shoves himself out of the room, slamming open any door that's in the way.]
Yona?! [He's not really awake or aware yet, not really, so he doesn't even recognize Hazel, let alone notice him.]
no subject
Damn it, though, he was sleeping. He does the only logical thing and grabs an ornate desk lamp on his way out of the room. Just in case. He's never bludgeoned a home intruder before, but there's probably a first time for anything, since he's seeking out the door slamming noises now.
When there's a door opening right at him and Jae-Ha, suddenly smacking right into him, there's really nowhere for him to go but stumble back a step and land on the floor. He drops the lamp with a clatter, and Jae-Ha is yelling something, but all of Hazel's senses are taken over with blood and arrows and being incapable of escape— He doesn't want to see this, why does he have to see this?]
What— what the hell's this?
no subject
Yona... Where's Yona? [He doesn't know what Hazel's seeing right now, unfortunately. He only knows this strange emptiness in his chest, and this other feeling that's not as powerful as hers ever was. She's not here. She's not anywhere, but Kija is. His grip tightens and then slackens all at once, letting his hands drop to the ground, instead.]
She's...gone?
no subject
He can't do much but stare and blink for a good few seconds here, seconds that seem to stretch on much longer than they should, but finally he blinks and Jae-Ha is just Jae-Ha, grabbing him in the dark.
Who...? He shakes his head, his eyes never leaving Jae-Ha's face. What is this? The dread is already mounting, don't tell him—]
When did ya get in here? [Seriously, who authorized this??]
no subject
Now that he's said it aloud, it's unavoidable. This aching in his chest seems to flow through his leg, as well, and he doesn't quite know what's mourning within him or why, but it's there. Kija's is there as well, and he's becoming more and more aware of it as he comes to.
Hazel's staring at him, and Jae-Ha only feels smaller. This feeling now— he was reassigned. Yona was gone, and somehow he's ended up with Hazel. He should feel relieved, since if it were anyone else he'd take off running, but he's still struggling with a lot.
His hand raises to curl into his bangs as he averts his eyes, glancing down at the floor instead.]
I really... [He stops whatever that sentence was meant to be, freezing up and curling his fingers a bit more in his hair as he tenses.] I just woke up here.
[It was completely out of his control.]
no subject
Before, Jae-Ha's lack of memories and status as a shinki were unfortunate, but not things he had to address, really. Now... another dead man, lost and misplaced from his people? Of course it had to happen again. Of course.
He finally manages to move - not getting up from the floor, but sitting up properly and trying to gain some kind of control over this situation. Somehow. He's... he's not a sensitive soul, as such.]
If you're gonna do this, [whatever "this" is, like maybe panic??] take a deep breath first. Talk sense.
no subject
My god vanished, so they must have assigned me to you. [Like some sort of object, so that's cool. But wait— He glances up, again, still just in his own crumbled sitting position on the floor while he stares at Hazel.]
If I'm here, there has to be another. Can you... feel anything? [That's a stupid question, he realizes, so he tries to elaborate.] Another shinki? Someone else?
no subject
Instead of addressing that part right now, he reaches over and... stands the lamp he dropped back upright. On the floor. He needs something to busy his hands with, glancing back at Jae-Ha with genuine confusion in response to his question.]
Another one? [That's probably enough answer on its own, and it takes Hazel a moment to remember again - the other one, there were two of them in that quaint little temple of Jae-Ha's, so what happened to the other one? No one else is slamming doors all over his temple.] I'm afraid I don't know anythin' about that.
no subject
[It might be for the best, but he still mutters that under his breath. Hazel might stand up the lamp, but Jae-Ha is shifting now to wobble and stand. He's not so cold as to march out of here without offering Hazel his hand to help him up, though.]
I'm sorry. [For all of this, honestly. He's normally a pretty calm guy, so this is jarring, he's sure. He doesn't even know about the death thing.] I need to find him first. He's nowhere close.
no subject
He'll skip the question about how Jae-Ha can know where some other shinki is just by thinking about it. Not a pressing matter, honestly.]
...Alright. [Hazel needs some time to sit and think about this himself, all things considered. So Jae-Ha can go and find his pal, that's fine.] Go and deal with your young man.
[He can wait! He doesn't think it needs to be said.]
no subject
Some time later, however long it takes to make sure Kija is well taken care of and understands that Jae-Ha will be staying somewhere else, he climbs back in through that same window and looks for Hazel.
He hopes to find him sleeping, but he's almost positive that won't be the case. Wherever he finds him, he'll walk in silently. He's more than a little exhausted, but unlike earlier, he's actually composed enough to try and shove that back.]
no subject
So. This is kind of uncomfortable.]
