Izuku has a habit of picking up prayers that are just about being generally nice to people. Kido has no issue with it, but she can't help but feel a little pointless when it came to things like actually interacting with people.

She's too shy for any of this. She's not good with people. And Deku's so much better than her, if there's no ayakashi, she doesn't see the point in her being pulled along. After all she felt like she made everything worse in their first prayer. She stings him, she's invisible half the time, now. He does well without her.

But she can't deny that it makes her happy that he insists she comes along. It's an interesting back and forth in her mind and chest. So she just stuffs her hands in her pocket, one earbud in her ear.

"You said we're trying to console somebody, right?"

She means it both sincerely and in a good way!!! She shrugs like it doesn't effect her, but her face is still pink. "You didn't answer the question."

He shrugs, "I'm alright." He's worried over Kacchan, but since he's somehow disappeared from this world there's very little Izuku can do about that now.

"Come on, let's go help this guy out."

She doesn't believe him for a second, but...

She follows behind him a step. She wonders what you can even say to somebody like that. "... You should knock."

Kido's not sure anyone would be able to hear her knocking. She hasn't gotten that visibility thing completely yet.

"Right." He nods, and knocks gently on the guy's door, waiting for him to come to the door.

It's quite a time before there's any sort of answer. The kid on the other side is not doing so hot and it's kinda obvious.

It's hard to be in mourning and when he eventually does answer the door... he doesn't notice the pair outside.

He can understand not wanting to come to the door. He's still in mourning, even after his research told him his friend had died a month ago. Izuku still gets it.

He very gently reaches out and touches the kid's hand.

"Hello."

At least that gets some kind of reaction. He's startled and he stares at the both of them like he's seeing ghosts.

"Who're you?" He's not a very polite person atm. But even Kido can give him a pass on that.

Izuku lets go of his hand once he can clearly see them.

"You asked for a sign, right?" The only people who should know about his prayer are the people who picked it up, after all.

"I'm Aidos, and this is my partner." It's basically his work name, after all, and certainly more recognizable than his own.

Yeah Deku is getting looked at like he has three heads while Kido lifts a hand in greeting.

"What're you talking about?" You don't expect physical people to answer your prayers, normally, after all.

It's too bad, because Izuku's always been hands on in helping. Perhaps a bit too much, considering all the injuries he's sustained by helping his classmates.

"Your prayer."

Way too much in Kido's very humble opinion.

"My pra--you heard that?" Deku you gotta explain a little bit more.

"Yes, you asked for a sign because you've lost so much. Um, I'm the god that picked it up." He probably could have done something else for a sign, but a god helping is... pretty good? He thinks?

He points between the both of them. "You're a god."

Kids just scowls into the neck of her pullover. "He's a god."

"That's right." Honestly, he can't deny it. "I'm sorry about what happened to your friend."

Kido can't help but raise an eyebrow at him.

The kid just slouches and opens the door. You can't deny a god entry, right? But he still looks very down. "Yeah, I hear that a lot."

He doesn't have experience in this kind of quiet, personal thing. When he helps people it tends to be out in various kinds of battle, leaving their hearts out to deal with.

Izuku walks in, looking down at his right hand, scarred up from when he was trying to help Todoroki accept himself. That's a lot different than this.

"It's... been a month since his death, I'm sure your friend cares about you wherever he is now."

"For a god you don't have a lot of answers." Sorry the kid's being a shit.

Kido just glowers for a minute. Maybe they should have a prayer screening process or something.

"I'm not the god of death." Technically he's just the goddess of shame, humility and modesty, which is for some reason also responsible for right and wrong decisions, but here he is, trying to live up to a name most people don't realize exist.

"Things happen, not always for a clear reason, but they do. As people we have to try and work with what happens around us."

Well more and more people are becoming aware of it at least.

"Then why are you handling something like this?" He's not too thrilled. But it's hard to be thrilled when you're mourning. He does sit down at a table in what appears to be the living room

It's forever surprising to him that anybody knows Aidos' name. There was barely anything written about her in any of the research he did when he first arrived. But maybe being around to clearly help your followers has something to do with it.

"Because I want to help you." He's been there, in a way. He had to watch Kacchan die before he became his shinki, even for as short a time as that was.

Maybe. It's kind of like how no one would know about him OOCly if he wasn't active I guess.

"By coming in here and saying you're my sign?"

"No, by talking you through it."

He takes a seat across from him, and looks over at Kido.

She actually looks a little startled. How often has she herself proven that talking through things doesn't help when you feel like crap? But she's going to remain standing. She feels weird sitting down with him.

"Talking? You want to help by talking? Everybody wants to talk. But nobody has anything to say."

Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't. But you'll never know if you don't at least try. Which is what they're doing today, trying.

"It seems that way sometimes. What was your friend like?"

He almost clams up again, his hands clenching on his knees. "He was sick as long as I knew him. But he always pretended he was okay. He was always helping me with my problems.

"I didn't even know it was this bad."

(Kido shoots Deku a look. Sounds like someone she knows.)
