Who: Anyone and everyone who wants in
What: The grand opening of Elsa and Hakkai's school!
When: IC March 8-31
Where: The library in Menrva's temple, over in Takamagahara
Summary: Open log for anyone who'd like to stop by Elsa and Hakkai's school, for education, conversation, or procrastination... or just to chill.

**Schedule of classes** - teachers, feel free to add your classes!


Open House
Come meet your staff! Elsa is your head teacher (and principal by default), and Hakkai is the school's protector. Don't try to mess this up, or you won't like the result! Oh, and if your character can and/or would be willing to teach, feel free to offer your subject expertise! (Hakkai can teach classical Chinese literature and math, and Elsa can teach biology, physics, and basics of assorted sciences.)

Class time
Sessions will either be private or group-based, as needed. What does your character want to learn? If they don't have anyone to teach you, they'll find you books and learn together!

Study hall
Got homework? Want to do some research? Menrva's library is here for you. Elsa can help you find whatever it is you need, and being that this is the Far Shore, the library probably has books about any subject you can dream of.

Group work
Talk amongst yourselves to get any assignments or projects done. Try to stay on course, okay? Elsa will be happy to answer any questions as best she can.

Teacher's lounge
There are comfy chairs and desks all around the library, but over by the back, between some shelves and the floor-to-ceiling windows, is a little area reserved for taking a break from teaching. Chat about your students, ask for or offer advice, or just relax and have some tea and snacks.

Hiyori-san. She’s one grade above me, so I’m using her old textbooks.

Ah, she's done a good job helping you. Is she another shinki?

[-- How does she still have her old textbooks if she is? Hakkai pauses, confused, and glances up at Yukine. Could it be that not all shinki forget?]

Eh? No, she's- [...a long story, if he says demi-ayakashi.] She's human. [Mostly.]

She has some ties with my god, so I see her a lot.

Oh. I didn't know humans could interact with us so easily.

[The ones on the street on the Near Shore certainly do seem like they barely register Hakkai's presence, even if he's talking to them.]

-- Well, in any case, she must be a good student! I'll start you on this level of math, then. You seem to be doing well with it already.

But Yukine is glad to move on in the conversation.]

Thanks. It just... comes a bit easier to me, I guess. I'll take any other lessons too. I shouldn't keep troubling Hiyori so much, even if she says she doesn't mind.

[Not to mention how sweet it'll feel to suddenly turn up with even better results than she's expecting of him. Heh.]

[He cranes his neck for a better look at the contents of Yukine's backpack. He seems to have quite a few more textbooks stuffed in there.]

Mm? [It's easy enough to follow Hakkai's gaze and see what he's after.]

Oh, everything. Besides math and science there's social studies, English, history, Japanese... Even notebooks for music and P.E. Oh, and I've been taking extra studies with Kazuma-san in calligraphy and kanji, so I can read names better. I've also been doing some other things on the side...

[He absently rattles that all off as he pulls everything out of his backpack.]

[That's quite a lot of work. Hakkai blinks, leafing through a few of the books.]

Let's see... I don't think I can help you with social studies or history. [Even the contents pages of those books look unfamiliar. He wonders, again, if he might be from a different country. He seems to speak the language here well enough, though, and the English notebook is equally unfamiliar.] And I don't speak any English.

I can work with you on writing and literature if you're in need of help there, or drill you on characters and calligraphy.

[He pushes the books back towards Yukine, smiling.]

I see you've already been working hard.

[Yukine focuses on putting the books back into his bag, keeping his face down, but there is little hiding the pride that he feels at the compliment. He has been working hard!]

Thanks. I'll take you up on whatever you're willing to do with me. I have a lot of time to accomplish what I'm setting out to do, but I'd be glad to reach my goals even faster, you know?

He's getting much better with this thing already, and inputting Yukine's schedule is good practice.]
