Who: Sharak Sanzo, Kainé, Goten and possibly others.
What: Catch-all for various things at Aditi house.
When: Backdated to May 23rd, and onwards.
Where: Temple of Aditi
Summary: Sharak may have temporarily fostered a child without asking, but it's cool. He's cute.
[On the evening of the 22nd, Sharak comes home with a seven-year-old monkey in her arms. Goten will be staying with them for however long he wants, probably until he picks a god he likes or until the powers that be assign him to someone else. Sharak considers offering a name from her but... Well, taking that kind of responsibility for a young child probably isn't a good idea in her situation.
Anyway, he's here. So is Kainé, and possibly other visitors. Hopefully they remember to call ahead if they do visit, otherwise they'll just be stuck outside the barrier surrounding the Temple of Aditi, waiting for someone to notice them.]

Huh? Oh. Yeah, sure. Don't worry, there's plenty of room for him, and if there wasn't, I'd just toss him in mine. I always sleep out here anyway. [...Well.] Unless the weather's shitty.
no subject
[She can't help the initial surprise, and concern. Okay, so it's not technically outside, but it basically is.]
Ah, not that that's weird! It's like camping.
I just don't think I could do that every night. I'd miss my bed too much.
[Which reminds her that she actually does miss her bed right now. She liked living in Lightning's temple...]
It doesn't seem like it'd be very private, either.
no subject
I like it out here. Feels right.
[Beds feel really weird... She wonders if she even had one, when she was alive. She looks away at the concern of privacy.]
...We got it taken care of.
[Because she'd had a shitfit about it when Sharak didn't take her seriously. Still, just talking about her private room make it feel...a little less private. So. Ahem.]
Where are you staying now?
no subject
Oh, just... with friends.
[She blushes again, looking awkward as she tries to make it sound like she's got the situation handled.]
I spend some nights at Patchouli-san's temple, but I haven't really been staying...
no subject
Uh huh.
[boning down on patchouli huh interesting]
no subject
Natsuru is, of course, oblivious. She just looks more confused, awkwardly brushing a lock of hair aside and letting her hand linger on her neck for a moment.]
What? I... haven't found a place to stay for real yet...
no subject
Well, don't make it so you can use that excuse for much longer, alright? Just 'cuz being with them that way is more fun, we can't get by unless we're partnered them in the kid-friendly way.
no subject
You mean a god and shinki thing? Like you and Sharak-san?
[Kainé may or may not get a chance to answer, before Natsuru notices her squishing in the contents of the basket and jumps in with another topic.]
Hey-... do you need any help with that? Or anything?
[She hears the call of domestic work and it feels very familiar and stabilizing!]
no subject
Huh? [She blinks up from the ground, hands pausing.] Oh. Not really. But if you want to, you can.
[She knows the urge...]
no subject
[She starts gathering up some things closer to her than Kainé, looking to the other woman for nonverbal confirmation that they're things that need to be gathered up. Natsuru doesn't have a basket, but she can collect a bundle in her arms for now to throw in the basket later.]
I had to make Pidge-san clean up her messes back at Lightning-sama's temple, too. Hers were mostly computer stuff, though.
no subject
[See it to your heart's content!! Kainé gives a nod as the items are gathered, even if some could probably be left there for the time being... May as well get it all taken care of, if she wants something to do.]
Who's that? Not another shinki of hers, is it? Or...was? [??? language]
no subject
Mm-hm. She was Lightning-sama's shinki first, but she's a little younger than me.
[While straightening out another cushion, she changes tracks on the conversation again.]
Do you always sleep out here alone?
no subject
[That...feels a little weird. It's not a surprise that there were teams that made multiple shinki work -- hell, that even strikes her as familiar. But maybe that's why she feels a twinge of unease at the thought of Sharak naming someone else.
Hmn.]
No. I've got another room, just don't use it much. Hang out in the halls, sometimes. Goten woke me up by jumping on me once, so there goes the alone part.
no subject
I was just thinking, this place would be perfect to kind of camp out together. There's plenty of space, and all.
[It's just a thought, although it might sound like a suggestion.]
no subject
Sure is. Plenty of pillows already, too.
[She's staring. Just do it... Do the thing, be confident.]
no subject
Thankfully, this isn't one of those moments where something goes completely over her head. Thinking back on it, she hears it now. It sounded like she was building up to something. And well... the idea has some appeal, especially now that she's homeless. Okay, she can stop dancing around it and actually say something.]
If it's alright with you, maybe we could... spend the night out here sometime? You know, keep each other company? I wouldn't get in your way, if you need time to yourself! [
Or to be with Sharak, whatever floats her boat.] It'd just... be nice.[Does it count as confident when she's being this awkward about it?]
And I could help out around here some more, too!
no subject
Yeah, sure. Hell, stay tonight, if you really want.
[She straightens out, gesturing for Natsuru to follow her over to where she's set up a laundry basin outside.]
You don't need to earn your place here, either. It's not like I mind, and Sharak would be fucking thrilled to bits to see me talking to someone, I'm sure.
no subject
Really?!
[Her smile and her eyes light up, and she has to shift the bundle in her arms so she doesn't drop anything on the way to the laundry basin.]
Thanks... but it's okay! I don't mind helping out a little, even if I don't have to.
I can cook a little bit too, if you don't really need me to help with this.
[It's nice to know that Kainé doesn't expect anything of her, but Natsuru is Natsuru. She can't not offer to help with things.]
no subject
That's one you'll have to ask Sharak on. Not that she'll care much either way. [She contemplates the stool in front of her that she normally sat on, but it doesn't take her much bought before she nudges it Natsuru's way with her foot and kneels on the ground beside it instead.] As long as you're not feeling like you're obligated to, it's fine. I don't mind the help. You're just worth more than the shit you do.
no subject
Alright. I will.
[She watches Kainé pausing at the stool briefly, and suddenly it's nudged over in her direction. She feels bad for a second if Kainé's kneeling on the ground just so she could offer her the stool, but the other woman doesn't seem bothered by it. So she just gives Kainé a grateful little nod, which she may or may not even see, and takes a seat, settling her bundle in her lap.]
I remember... you said the same thing about what we are to our gods.
[Which, now that she thinks of it, makes her wonder.]
Does Sharak-san ask you to do any of this?
no subject
Yeah fucking right. I rescued her goddamn laundry from whatever the hell she was doing before. She's a shitstorm disaster when it comes to this kind of thing, and I don't mind it.
no subject
... I like keeping everything clean and neat too.
[She blushes a little after she's said it, hoping the assumption isn't too off.]
I've never had to clean up after someone else, though. Except for maybe Pidge-san a little bit. You don't get tired of it?
no subject
Can you say that for sure? [Kainé sure couldn't, no matter what her gut said.] It's not like I only do this. Besides... [Her eyes soften a little, and though she doesn't do much to change her actions, there's something a little more gentle about how she does it.] It'd be pretty shitty of me to get tired of something I offered to do, when she hasn't gotten tired of me for real, yet.
no subject
I guess not...
[Enough said, really. She knows Kainé understands what being a shinki is like. She's quiet while Kainé speaks, only watching the other woman and somewhat copying her actions, so she's sure she's helping her do the laundry correctly.]
You don't really think she'd ever get tired of you, do you? I bet you're really important to her, even if you didn't do any of the chores and stuff.
Like how you said I didn't have to do anything, if I wanted to stay over...
[She's trying to imply that they clearly care about each other. Which she can only say from what little evidence she's seen, but she hopes it's true!]
no subject
Sure, but you're a good girl. [Kainé's exhausting to deal with, comparatively. Still, she shrugs.] We work. Bug each other, but I wouldn't trade this thing because of petty bullshit like that.
