Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:

Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.

Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:

The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.

Prayer #35:

Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!

Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:

With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it down ~~AND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAM~~ and ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!

Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:

Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

[He's sort of excited to see how this turns out. For once Goten is the teacher!

He never gets to be the teacher!

It makes him excited but also a little nervous, but much like with Yukine, Kairi will understand if he messes up. They're both good teachers and good friends. That's why Goten likes them so much.

He smiles up at her before floating off the ground until he's eye level with Kairi. Reaching out with his right hand, he holds his index and pointer finger out in front of her forehead. He tries to focus on her because there is a tiny fear making his stomach turn of instead of doing the spell he accidentally blasts her in the face because that would be the worse thing to ever happen!
But this isn't like a borderline so it should be fine...]

Okay. Kairi....Umbra!

[Kairi watches Goten do it and isn't aware of his hesitation, but that would genuinely suck to get a ki blast to the face. Kinda put a damper on her day and his.

But she's mainly surprised because none of the others required them to be that close to one another. She's honestly glad it's Goten that she's practicing this with. She knows these spells only take a second to cast, but she waits until he's been done for about 10 seconds before she blinks and is ready to start walking....

Ah, yes, she CAN actually walk around it seems. Okay then!]

Wow... and I don't even feel any different either!

[So she heads up to the front entrance of the Meeting Hall, hearing that slight sound of Goten following behind her as his clothes shift and he hovers in the air so that's the only sound she gets.]

[ . . . did he do it? Her face is still in check so there was no ki blast! Maybe he was over thinking things and didn't need to focus that hard about it, but it's better safe then sorry.

He relaxes when she steps away, watching curiously as she heads to the front entrance before trailing along after her. He does stay back a couple of feet. He knows people can see him so it'll be better to test it this way if he isn't directly beside her.

The Meeting Hall has a few people in. Mostly official looking shinki talking among each other. Aside from a casual glance to Goten, they don't seem to pay much mind. Kairi goes completely unnoticed....which means it worked!

He can't keep the grin off his face.]

[She dares to walk incredibly close to some of the same level shinki she'd spoken to the last time she was here, the ones that are tied directly to Amaterasu.]

Wow, I-

[But the shinki turns around, looking at first in Kairi's direction, and then over at Goten. Kairi claps a hand over her mouth immediately.

Ah... apparently the spell is purely visual, not silence as well. And even then the Silence spell would've prevented Kairi from talking, not the other shinki from hearing her. It's a good thing to note as she starts to back up towards Goten, further away from where the one shinki is moving towards another, handing him a scroll.]

[It's when the shinki look from where Kairi roughly is then to Goten that he gives a sheepish smile and waves at them. Just a floating shinki kid, no one important here.

Still, its neat to see how well Umbra works. He glances back to Kairi when the other shinki move a little more away from them. What was that scroll anyway? Goten could only catch faint word or two of the conversation but his attention was mostly on Kairi]

Whatcha think? I really am the only one that can see you...but I guess everyone can hear you, huh?

[Kairi backs up until she's reasonably convinced that Goten's the only one who will be able to hear her whispering.]

Yeah, definitely! I mean, it's a good spell and all... but now I wanna hear what they're saying! ... So sssh if you want to come closer with me, okay?

[She isn't normally so stern with Goten, being one of the people most aware that he's a kid, but this is too interesting to pass up. They said something about an ayakashi.]

Why do you wanna hear-

[He blinks and covers his own mouth quickly with both hands, He shouldn't be talking in his normal voice. If he's the only one that can see Kairi, then he has to whisper too right? It's almost like they're secret agents spying!

Goten nods his head quickly before trailing after Kairi, trying to get closer to the talking pair of shinki.]

[She gives him a thumbs-up for his reaction to his own speaking voice. At least he caught himself. She steps softly closer.]

"... Masks. You know, masks."

"Like the ones we saw on the BBS?"

"Before that. I mean, yes, they're the same style from what I remember, but that's what I saw! And then just like that it disappeared again."

"Are you sure this wasn't an early start to the festivities tonight?" [He makes a motion like drinking something.]

"No, I'm telling you I saw-- I saw an ayakashi with a mask! Here, in the Far Shore."

[That's when Kairi goes wide-eyed and looks over at Goten.]

[Goten can't help but stare, staying just a couple steps further back then Kairi because while she's hidden, he isn't. His eyes widen. How can there be ayakashi in the Far shore? That shouldn't be possible, right? That's really really bad.

He blinks and looks up at Kairi giving a shrug but clearly looking concerned. A ayakashi in the far shore is bad news, and apparently so are these masks.]

"Where was it, anyway?"

"Last I saw? Over by the festival setup area..."

[Kairi backs up faster and gestures for Goten to follow her, right back outside to where they'd been talking earlier.]

The festival! Did you hear?

[She purses her lip and shakes her head.]

There's so many people that'll be there tonight! It could be as bad as the last one!

[And follow he does]

Yeah...we should take a look, huh? I mean, those shinki in there don't seem to want to. It'd be bad if an ayakashi showed up in the middle of the festival. Kairi, can we go check it out?Please? Maybe we'll find something. I don't want anyone to get hurt...

[No one would expect a ayakashi there of all places.]

C'mon...

[He's already floating up off the ground. Clearly he's going to go regardless.]

Oh I think the one of them wants to go looking...

[One of them had the robes of Raijin's shinki - the one who was interested in what happened, meanwhile Fuujin's shinki was the one being more dismissive.]

But if they find it before us, that's fine. I want to go looking too.

[She looks around for Nimbus, and then jumps on.]

We don't need another ablution on our hands.

[Goten nods his head slowly, a small smile tugging up at the corners of his mouth]

Unless you and Nimbus have been slacking off or are gonna take the long way, there's no way they'll get there before us!

[He thrusts his fist into the air]

Race ya there!

[And with that he shoots off, not waiting for an answer. Bye Kairi! --- of course he will slow down after a bit because he doesn't remember exactly where that is]

[But off he goes! Typical. How many "races" have they had now? She just shakes her head and off Nimbus goes to catch up to their friend.

For all she knows, the ayakashi's moved well beyond the Tanabata prep area to somewhere else entirely.]

What I meant, Goten-- [When he slows up.] Was that it could be like that ayakashi that attacked the soulless shinki before. Maybe it was just moving past when that other shinki saw it. That's why we have to keep a sharp eye out!

Ooooooh!

[He sort of gets it. He does loops around Kairi and Nimbus all the while.]

Sharp eyes it is then. But with your blight stomach powers, that's sorta like a radar, huh? I don't think we'll miss any ayakashi with you around, Kairi. We don't have to see it with you here! I can sorta feel when something off but sometimes I'm not sure if it's cause I'm hungry or something. But you really feel it, right?

[He has comeplete faith in "Kairi's blight stomach powers".]

Hey, I've been getting better! [She pulls her eye down to stick her tongue out at him.]

I used to nearly throw up around them, now it's just more like butterflies!

[But he has a point anyway.]

It's worth a try - I think if it's a bigger one, that's more likely to affect me. Like that ram thing and when we fought the twins on Heligoland and the one that Roxas and I fought together awhile back.

[Goten can't help but laugh, sticking his tongue out right back at her. He can do that too but He has to tease her a little!]

As long as you're okay, Kairi! I don't wanna see you throw up. That's gross. Oh! If the Ayakashi is big it should be easy to spot and find then....I don't get why it would have a mask though...

[He slows a bit, floating next to her and Nimbus for a moment before belly flopping down onto the back of the cloud]

We don't know that it's big, Goten, that's part of the problem. I don't know what's special about a mask either...

[Other than the obvious implication that it was just more powerful. She still smiles slightly as he plays around with her.]

We have to promise though... if we do find it, we have to call Aymeric. We're not gonna grab it by the tail or anything, right?

[They know that he's available right now, after all, whereas Kairi's not sure what Roxas is up to this afternoon. It's been several hours since they left for Heligoland.]

[Goten keeps his face pressed into Nimbus as he sprawls over the end of of the cloud. But he is listening to Kairi's words. He isn't surprise when she brings that up either. How could he ever forget that day? Slowly, he lifts his head up just enough to peek up at her.]

I brought gloves this time!

[But he quickly smiles before she has much time to repond.]

I know, I know! If there's an ayakashi, Aymeric gotta show up cause I don't want you to get hurt and Roxas mad.

I'm glad you have gloves, Goten, but even more glad that you don't mind calling Aymeric.

[She gives him a quick hug around the shoulders.]

Okay, now... How else can we track this thing...? I guess just keep looking. Nimbus definitely goes fast enough! Maybe a wide circle...

[And as they keep circling, one corner of the Tanabata prep area looks a little messy for how close the Festival is.]

[The hug makes his smile grow. He has no issue with calling for Aymeric. He's not a new god to him anymore and if anything, in Goten's eyes, Aymeric and Maddragonra are his family.]

We could split up and cover more ground that way...

[He peeks over the side of the cloud, looking at the world below. Nothing looks too out of the ordinary- wait.]

Hey Kairi... Kairi, look!

[He points down at the messy area]

Let's start there. See you at the bottom!

[With that he hops off the cloud and drops down. He doesn't bother floating until hes just a few feet from the ground so to soften his landing. Blinking, Goten takes in the area. Some decorations are torn up along with what looks like a broken booth.]

[Kairi falls down with Nimbus's help until she can jump off and stand on the ground again.]

I know these ayakashi aren't exactly... thinking straight, but how rude do you have to get to ruin a festival decoration?

[In particular, it appears to be one of the paper decorations for Cleanliness, of all things, which Kairi only remembers because they spent time with Orihime.]

Let's try to find some holy water and clean up this area, at least. In case there's some blight left around-- like there!

[She points at what looks like a table cover - but it's cloth, so it held the blight a bit like a stain.]

[...cleaning.... that's not exciting at all.

Goten frowns, not looking interested at all. Again? First the temple now this. He tries hard to not pout but its evident by the bored look on his face that Goten isn't happy.]

But Kairi, what about the ayakashi? If we stop and clean, it might get away.

[He's a powerful shinki looking to stop ayakashi in their tracks and save the day....not a janitor.]

[She remembers how she'd said the same thing about the ocean, initially... back in Heligoland the first time. Even when she and Roxas came back, he wanted to get the ayakashi causing the blight before he dealt with the mess it'd left behind and the way it'd hurt the fish.]

So after a quick reminder and getting her to look thoughtful, Kairi nods.]

You're right. We should find where it moved from here. Let me just tell someone instead, then we'll take off from here.

[So she flags down one of the attendants that Orihime had been assigned by Heaven to help with the Tanabata preparations, pointing over to the mess and making an X to emphasize 'blight' before running back over to Goten.]

Okay, let's go.

Kaiii-

[Wait. What?

Goten blinks slowly before turning his head around to look at her. He's right? Really? He meant the words but she's really not going to say it's better to clean? He's not use to this.]

...

[His face lights up a bit as he clenches his fists up towards his chest. Alright! They don't have to clean and can keep following the ayakashi! This is great!

He spins around, not being able to hide his smile as he nods quickly.]

Yeah, let's go get that ayakashi!

[He bounces a step or two before looking at the ground, there is a bit of a trail of damage the ayakashi left in it's wake. It's not as obvious as the one on the island but Maybe it'll be like that and lead them right to it. He points at it as he walks along to follow the trail]
