Prayer #34 Write-in for Tanabata:

Forseti temple in Heligoland got wreaked by a small gang of teenagers. It's completely trashed much to the dismay of the fisherman that visits often. After having his fish saved he doesn't want the island to lose Forseti's blessing. It's too much work for one old man to handle. His granddaughter, that has come all the way from Japan to visit, suggests making a tanabata wish and to hang it up in the temple. So, with his granddaughter's help, he wishes for the temple to be cleaned up back to it's respectable state.

Prayer #36 Follow-up to 34:

The ayakashi that is causing all of the ruckus around Heligoland looks like a ram with one broken horn, and runs around with several groups of teenagers encouraging them to wreck any sort of building with a bit of prestige to it, which included Forseti's temple. They will need to track the ayakashi down by the trail of damage it's leaving in its wake.

Prayer #35:

Forseti is also the god that "stills all strife" in people's bonds! Unbeknownst to Aymeric, the temple-trashing teens actually started their messy activities because of a misunderstanding between one of the boys and a friend who didn't participate. That friend saw the fisherman's Tanabata wish and asked about it, wishing on the same paper that Forseti might repair the misunderstanding. The prayer was thus literally buried by the trashing of the temple. Time to set things right!

Prayer #37 Follow-up to 35:

With the advice given a success, the teenagers and the wishmaker seem to be at peace with each other! However, there's still something lurking around. Turns out it's a slippery naga ayakashi; time to track it down ~~AND HIT IT WITH A FRIENDSHIP BEAM~~ and ensure no more misunderstandings happen this time around!

Prayer #38 Follow-up to 36 and 37:

Our favorite fisherman, Frisch Singer, has gone out for his normal work and then a storm kicked up all of a sudden! Unbeknownst to the trio in Heligoland, it is a Draugen - the ghost of a man that died at sea - style ayakashi. The granddaugter makes a second wish, that her grandfather will come home safely! Little does she realize it will take the trio fighting a monster to bring him home.

[Artemis' temple isn't hard to find once you know where it is. He's happened by a few times before already.

This time it's to meet up with Kairi after a few text message exchanges. His spelling hasn't improved much but at least with Kairi he doesn't need to worry at all about it.

Landing in front of the temple, Goten glances around before taking out his cell phone. A quick 'kairi imhere' and then he waits.

At least until a biggest beetle he's ever seen catches his attention and he has to running to the side of the temple after it. ]

[Kairi's actually pretty stern-faced when she walks out the door, until she sees Goten running around and then she lightens up considerably. This is important, but Goten's antics can't help but make her smile.]

Hey Goten - thanks for coming by so fast.

[She pulls out Suijin's letter from her pocket and starts to open it up.]

Do you know who Suijin is by chance?

[It's just as she says his name that he leaps for the bug and front flips so to land on his feet. Perking, he runs over to her, bettle cupped gently between his closed hands. As cool as bugs are, he's always excited to see Kairi]

Kairi!

[He stops next to her, grinning from ear to ear]

Suijin...? Um, is she that little girl thats in charge over heaven? Super important right?

No, that's Amaterasu. But Suijin works for her.

[She opens the letter and shows it to Goten, even though he may not be able to read most of it - but specifically points to Suijin's name.]

See? Suijin. She wrote to me. Can I read you what she asked for my help with?

Wow Kairi! You must be getting pretty strong if she is writing you stuff and not Roxas.

[He beams at her because 'Way to go Kairi!' is written all over his face. She deserves to be recognized for all she does cause Kairi is one of the most hardworking and dedicated people he knows!]

Sure. Did you want me here to read it to me?

[Because that's weird and she could have talked over the phone with him. But he's not complaining either. Maybe she was just that excited?

He would be too!]

Well... You'll see why in a second. Here I go:

Shinki Kairi... Given your ability to fly on a cloud- [She gives Goten a look there.] and your recent demonstration of concern for your fellow shinki, we have chosen to request your aid in a matter. Should you be willing, go to the Near Shore and survey the region of...

[She does have to try harder on this one. She looked it up earlier, but it's still difficult to say.]

Białystok, Poland. Although the area to cover is broad, we believe you to be well-suited to this task. We would ask for you to observe only, but for your safety do not go alone. If you find any signs of unusual ayakashi or Far Shore activity, return directly. Once you have completed your survey, report your findings to me. ... Suijin.

[And she looks back to Goten for a reaction.]

[Goten's smile never fades, if anything it grows that much more as he grins with excitement. He doesn't know if she's implying that she wants Goten to go. It honestly goes over his head if that's the case but its more about having another adventure with Kairi!

Besides, he can fly!]

'Kay! So when are we going?

[... Not the reaction she was expecting!]

What? I just wanted permission to borrow Nimbus again, that's all Goten!

[She's having a sudden flashback.]

I really didn't mean to drag you along... it could be pretty boring, you know?

But it said you shouldn't go alone and I'm here now!

[He opens his hands to let the beetle fly free, he'll catch it again later. Right now, the idea of going flying to Portland with Kairi is way more exciting.]

If it's boring I can always fly home. C'mon Kairi, I wanna go with you and help.

[Ah like she can resist his pleas?]

... Well, I guess no matter how boring it was going to be, it won't be now.

[And that's not even an insult. She enjoys his company.]

It's true you can fly and Roxas can't. Can you at least tell Aymeric we're going out flying in the Near Shore for awhile?

I already told him I'd be out and around today. I've been staying around Izumo a lot since he got hurt. But he's staying with Shizuo and Shizuo is watching out for him too so he should be okay!

[Besides the bar is a wreak and Izumo isn't there so it's a little more difficult to spend all day with his friend.]

C'mon Kairi! Let's go! The day is gonna be over before we even get there if we take too long.

Alright, alright! I guess we can teleport down to Greece and fly from there. It'll be fun and both of you go so fast it'll probably be just as easy as teleporting down from Aymeric's temple.

[She walks on over to Artemis Temple again and puts her hand on it, reaching out to hold Goten's hand.]

Come on. We can call Nimbus from down there, right? We have a long way to fly from Greece to Poland. Białystok is near the Eastern part of it with Belarus.

[She's learning her maps with the help of Google.]

[....That's a lot of names of places he doesn't know and its all sort of bleeding together. He's just going to nod and trust Kairi to be the navigator. She's so smart!

Reaching out he grabs her outstretched hand with both of his own.]

We can race if you want! Flying is fun so even if it's a long way we can enjoy it!

[Once they've teleported, Kairi nods to Goten.]

Yeah! We can absolutely race!

[Even if Goten doesn't know exactly where he's going. He's kind of faster than Kairi ever has the guts to make Nimbus go, so if he veers a little off course, he's sure to catch up to her as well.]

Oh Nimbus~

[She calls in a sing-song voice.]

[And down comes their favorite cloud friend of all time! It streaks across the sky before shooting down and whirling around them both. Goten giggles, reaching out as Nimbus screeches to a halt in front of them. Even if he doesn't need Nimbus to fly, the cloud will never stop being important to him. He's happy Nimbus has both him and Kairi!]

Good to see you, Nimbus!

[He pats the fluff of a cloud before letting go Kairi's hand to hop into the air. He laughs, doing a few flips and figure eights before looping back around.]

Let's go!

[And blast off! Though he is going to end up back tracking and slowing down so he can follow Kairi. She *IS* the navigator after all!

And to Pololand, or whatever it's called, they go! For a long flight, its not so much for them. The Goten and Nimbus Express are both faster then a plane!]

[Kairi doesn't waste any time jumping on Nimbus and following Goten. Of course, she has to be a bit more clear-headed as they fly overland from Greece to Poland. She hugs the coast of the Adriatic Sea as long as she can, until eventually it ends in the tiny snippit of Slovenia meeting Italy.]

Okay! From here it's Austria, then Czechia, and finally Poland. We'll just have to dip lower so we can make sure we're able to find Prague. After that, we should be in Poland in no time. Then veer East.

[She's trying to call over the wind as best she can, but who knows if Goten can hear her - or cares. She's making the attempt at least.]

[He hears her, more or less. Flying over the coast, it doesn't take them long to reach Poland. Even with all his flips and playing around, they still make great time. He starts to slow so Kairi can show him which way 'East' is but blinks as his head jolts up and he looks ahead. Something...he can feel something.

Instead of slowing, Goten frowns a bit and picks up a little bit a speed as he makes a bee-line for the source. He can sense something strong and the closer they get to it, the stronger it gets.

Goten stops just over the cleared circular area, looking down at all the dead vegetation. It's a good distance from the last town they flew over, sort of hidden in the middle of no where but impossible to miss from the sky.]

Do you feel that?

[They touch down somewhere between the Narew National Park and Mińce, Poland, where there's fields aplenty but the dead vegetation circle? Not so common. Enough they can even see it from the sky. They aren't far from their original destination, anyway - this is a western suburb before getting to the city of Białystok proper.

When they do start to get close to the ground, Kairi holds tight with both hands to Nimbus's cloudy form.]

Oh... Oh Goten I don't feel so well...

[This hasn't happened to her in awhile.]

Do you... Do you think there's an ayakashi around? A big one?

[She hasn't felt this queasy before when riding on Nimbus, but she HAS felt it when she encounters ayakashi. Just not ones... quite this big.]

[ Even Goten's stomach is turning a bit from just how much energy this place is giving off. He places a hand over his stmach thoughtfully as they hover just over the clearing.]

Maybe... But I don't usually feel much from ayakashi. I don't get blight stomach... I can feel this though. It's like...it's coming from the ground itself. It feels...funny.

[He frowns, a little wary of even touching down on it.]

[Blight stomach... thank you Goten for giving a technical term to how she feels around powerful ayakashi.]

Okay but if YOU'RE feeling it from the ground, and I'M sensing something else...

[She starts to lift higher, as she realizes they're in a swampland more than big open fields. Any closer to the Narew river and Goten would be up to his hips in water, she suspects. Further down the way from them, she can see more swampy areas, but specifically a kind of damn it looks like? Being built by otters...?

No... the whole damn AND the creatures stockpiling on it, those are all ayakashi. Some very small, and some larger. Nearby there's even an ayakashi with big elk-like antlers resting against the damn-like ayakashi.]

G-Goten... we need to go. We'll have to come back.

[And she points over there while trying not to hurl all over Nimbus.]

[That's a...lot of ayakashi. He can't help but stare at them all while still patting his own stomach. They agreed to turn around for one ayakashi, for this many...even Goten isn't about to test it.

Uh-uh. Nope.]

Y-Yeah...c'mon. I don't want those ayakashi to see us.

[Because that would be very very bad. There's no telling if they can fly either. He hovers closer to Kairi and Nimbus as they go higher into the air]

Why are there so many?

I don't kn-

[There's a kind of screeching noise as one of the ayakashi does in fact notice them.]

Go. Right now, GO!

[She lifts up on Nimbus as fast as Nimbus can go - which is pretty fast - and is just hopeful that the tone in Goten's voice means he'll be right behind her. Only from that height can she be convinced they aren't flyers as well. That's when she sees the big flat circle of dead vegetation, though.]

R-Right! Hold on Kairi!

[Goten isn't paying attention to whats behind them, instead he puts his hands on Nimbus and actually pushes both the cloud and Kairi higher into the air at a decent speed. Not fast enough to where she'll fall off but its probably a good idea to keep a hold of Nimbus because away they go!

Even if there are fliers no way are they catching up to this duo.]

[Before Goten can get to her, Kairi takes a snapshot of the scenery with her phone, then holds it close when she sees Goten flying for her and Nimbus.

She lays flat and hangs onto Nimbus with both hands, as they zoom back the way they came. Time to head home!!

When they finally slow down near Roxas's temple where they came to the Near Shore, Kairi points in that direction. At least Goten can still see her hands moving. Slowed fully down, she jumps off of Nimbus and reaches for Goten's hand.]

Come on - we have to tell Suijin what we found. Just like she asked.

[ Goten blinks when Kairi takes his hand. They're back at Roxas' so mission complete right? They just need to get one of their gods to go take care of them, maybe? Even then...that was such a large mass of ayakashi, Goten isn't even sure if thats a good idea]

Huh?

[He stumbles after Kairi as she pulls him along to the temple so they can teleport to Suijin. He didn't expect to go with her but okay! To Suijin's place they go hand and hand. Hopefully she doesn't mind the two of them rushing to her temple.]

So where is this Suijin god lady?
