"God of thieves?" That throws Genos off enough to make him ignore the follow-up. He starts wondering aloud.

"...indeed there were mentions of deities being patrons of more unsavory aspects of life..." He only skimmed through the mythologies though.

"Hermes?" Yeah that name rings a bell. "Greek. Son of Zeus. Godly messenger, patron of multiple professions. Roman analogous deity was Mercury--"

Wait, why should he even answer the questions of this guy? He shuts his mouth, and refuses to continue.

"You're from a different pantheon! You have nothing to do with my god."

"Why does that even matter which was first? If you wanted to follow your paradigm, you'd focus more on relying messages, rather than stealing things" Genos is pretty sure it's just an excuse anyway.

Genos is surprised by this sudden reaction, but all it does is make his eye open a bit wider.

"I can't know that, shinki, remember?" Not having memories, means he can't even answer accusations like that. But yes, while he might not remember anything about then, he knows that right now he cares little about recognition. He just wants to fulfill his duty well, and if anyone is going to recognize that, it will be his god.

"It was Hermes that was first. From what I understood, Roman pantheon is heavily based on Greek one."

He's being... thanked? That means, he has to be civil too.

"Greek mythology is well documented, and widely present in pop-culture. It shouldn't take long to find some solid information about it. Nearly any library will have something about it." Inheriting library of previous Radegast has it's perks, at least he didn't need to run frantically searching for any scrap of info in unfamiliar place.

Akhem. That "his world" comment makes him curious. He wants to ask "did you knew me?", because everything points to that. Or maybe he does carry something truly unique to their world, that is unmistakable for someone else from it? If so, then what is it. Can he use it to identify others like him? Can he use it to learn more about himself?

All those questions, and he can't even force himself to ask out loud any of them. With a frustrated "tch" sound he just runs fingers through his hair.

That's a lot of information to take. It basically confirms the suspicion he had, that his god knew him before- well, before his death. He'd try to wrangle more of the story out of Sonic, if not for the absolute and dominating premonition of "DO NOT".

Maybe he'll one day overcome that, but that won't be today. He just nods, mutters a thanks, and turns around to disengage before he learns of more things he's not supposed to know.
