Sonic looks up from the rack of tights as someone cries out in pain, his eyebrows raised in curiosity. As it turned out, someone managed to maneuver a whole shopping cart into the small, cramped clothing store, and hit someone with it.

Well, that was surely inevitable, but it's impressive that he managed to get it so far in the first place.

Then again, with the way the poor victim waved the incident off as being clumsy, maybe it wasn't that impressive after all. And hadn't he seen that guy before?

He wanders over, putting one hand on his hip and arching an eyebrow. "That's quite the collection you've got going."

Ramming into an innocent shopper is enough to snap him back to attention, at least. It's a bit embarrassing to space out like that... but since they're from the Near Shore, it doesn't really matter. It's not like anyone will remember he was here. He grumbles and pulls his cart back a bit so the kid can get back up and out of his way. Where is that hoodie again...?

... except he was seen, he realizes once a familiar god approaches. Add scoffs, glancing off to the side. He might be a tiny bit embarrassed.

"That it is, so keep your hands to yourself. 'Honour among thieves', correct?"

"Relax, you have nothing I want," he says with an amused snort, flicking his wrist dismissively. "Ekko, maybe, but I believe I left him to his own devices in the electronic store anyway, so you have nothing to worry about."

He cocks his hip to the side, tilting his head the same direction. "And just what are you doing in here with such an encumbering haul?"

He relaxes a little, though he's still gripping his cart protectively. He's learned from a few other stores that leaving his cart unattended for too long tends to get it noticed. Not that he can't just steal his stuff back again, but still...

"What does it look like?" he replies. Obviously, he's shopping. "It's annoying to have to wear the same clothes every day, so I came here. Is that a problem?"

"No, of course not," he snorts, arching an eyebrow in amusement. "I'm just curious as to why you chose here. I've never known stores like these to be... particularly popular, outside of certain subcultures."

He stares blankly for a moment, then pauses to try and discreetly glance around the store a little. It seems like an ordinary store... why would it be unpopular? A lot of the stuff on the racks looks pretty cool to him...

Actually, why would he care if it's unpopular? After failing to notice anything odd, he goes back to scowling at Sonic. Is he trying to hog this store for himself or something?

"And what would those subcultures be? You were here first, so obviously you must be familiar." That's at least half a genuine question, even if his tone doesn't suggest it. He really has no idea.

"Oh, you know. The anti-establishment, punk bitches..." He smirks, pulling a Ninja Anime t-shirt out of his bag of stolen swag. "Weebs."

... Nevermind, this explanation is only making him more confused. It's hard to even get mad when he has no idea if he's being insulted or not. The design on that shirt doesn't really suit his style, but he doesn't see anything wrong with it.

"Not really, no... What's a weeb?"
