May Training
Who: Everyone
What: Information and Training
When: July 15
Where: Bishamon's temple, the Far Shore
Summary: Training and informational sessions for newly arrived gods (although there's none this time) and shinki

The product of many meetings and recommendations, at last it has taken shape. On this day, in anticipation of the new arrivals who appear in a recognized pattern, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
The shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. And in that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo.
Here the newly arrived gods are gathered, so finding their partner is more simple. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the aspects of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki, or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

God Training
- Bishamon herself, as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods, will be the foremost source of information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves get oriented with when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline and some of the basics of what is expected of a shinki. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Bishamon's lead shinki Kazuma offers a lecture to new arrivals that will thoroughly cover some essential points about teamwork with both shinki and other gods.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) Essential for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
Also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

In Summary:
- Get all the information you can handle
- Veteran new gods and shinki are welcome to volunteer showing the ropes
- Get in some training
- Don't get dehydrated
- Spectate if you want
- Have fun~

[ It was hard to tell why, when everyone was supposed to be practicing and training their skills, Shizuo was mostly sitting pensively on the ground. He was either very deep in his thoughts, being super critical of the other shinki, or sulking. In honesty, he was only being highly self-judgemental. There really wasn't anything to see on this nice, bright day.
Then Shizuo quickly wipes his hand through the air, and just as quickly makes the halberd gesture and cutting motion when staying pretty quiet. ]
Line.
[ It's hard to actually see that there's anything, though. That's because, as stable and easy as it was to successfully make the line, it's light was probably the weakest that anyone would see. The only plus side is that it doesn't flicker (for the better or worse, though it was hard to imagine a fainter borderline.) His gaze is still where the line had been made. ]
... I thought these were supposed to get better as you did them more.
Physical Training feat. Yona
[ He managed to train against other shinki and even one of the gods, to get a hold on facing up against people directly. There was one other important part, however- While Shizuo knew what his vessel was, neither he nor Yona knew the extent or actual ability that was supposed to happen. How he was supposed to help in that form.
They were meant to be against someone, not necessarily with their own vessel'ed shinki, but someone who could go ahead and 'encourage' figuring these sorts of things out. Putting his own sunglasses away into a stainless steel case, the blond stood next to his goddess. ]
Well, whenever you're ready, Yona.
R & R
[ This was far calmer, and with the gorgeous sun up in the sky, Shizuo was taking hefty advantage of it. Of course, that made it easy for someone going by to trip over him, or the many glasses that had iced milk (some flavored, mostly normal iced milk,) that were set up on the side.
This was essentially the thing he enjoyed the most of the day. Getting to bask in the sun and drink milk. Even if he's a total tripping hazard at the same time.
It's hard to believe this is an adult in his mid-to-late twenties.]Shinki Training 'cuz what is self control
It's even harder to miss the young man when he's casting glowing line of light. It may be faint but it's still a quick spark that catches Goten's attention.]
Are you just doing the same thing over and over again though?
[Don't mind him as he floats down casually from above, legs crossed as if he's just sitting on air.]
It took me lots of tries to get it too.
Who needs self control when you're dead?
Ah... Not exactly the same. Izumo had me use them to block his fire every time he shot them, and sometimes I leave them around for a while. You know, if you sorta doze off without getting rid of it, they'll still be there?
[ Then again, Shizuo doesn't need to be tired to 'doze' off. He was probably basking in the son (like he'll be doing later that day.) Looking over- well, it really does look like the kid's just sitting on a cushion. Just, without the cushion really being there. It probably wasn't the first time he'd seen Goten doing it, and it wouldn't be the last. ]
still not dead-dead though
[Dozing off while keeping a line up? That sounds hard to do, espeically considering how much focus Goten tries to put into his own lines. He floats down to Shizuo, stopping just level with his chest.]
Punching stuff is easy, Borderlines are hard.
[He flashes him a smile]
Most of my problem is if I don't focus or really really think about what I wanna do, I shoot Chi out instead of a borderline. I betcha you will get better with more practice. Yukine told me some people do better under pressure like when fighting an ayakashi. Maybe you need that.
That's just when there's no control at all.
[ Which he says with a shrug. He didn't have the question of whether or not he could do something- just no thought of being any good. ]
Ah, it makes sense that you'd have that kind of trouble. You have powers that work in a similar way... And I'd rather not find out if that's the case. If it's not that kind of pressure, then I'm stuck with my fists against an ayakashi.
are you sure though
I've practice lots and lots and it's still hard to do. Cutting borderlines are the same. Spells are easy.
[He blinks a bit at that, floating closer]
But isn't it better to find out how when no one is in trouble then later? We could find an ayakashi super easy and you could see if that helps.
Pfff as if
[ All he can do and help with is physical stuff. ]
I don't know if finding a 'super easy' one will do much. Oi, what was the thing you said though- Cutting borderlines? I haven't heard of that before.
[ Or if he had once, he certainly doesn't remember. ]
test it?
So let's find a big ayakashi then!
[These are horrible ideas but he's trying to be helpful here.]
Yeah, its pretty much the same as a borderline but instead of making a wall its like a slice and cuts stuff. I can try to show you if you want but I still need practice too.
YOU test it
Yeah, it sounds like that's all way above me. I'm not really the type to slash at things either. It'd be a miracle if I remembered to use borderlines at all.
[ Look, he understands himself and can come up with plenty of shortcomings. ]
Only cause you insist.....
maybe i do

Physical Training!
If they were to start taking on more serious prayers, however, they would need to understand it better.
So Yona takes a deep breath and gives him a nod and a smile. ] Very well. Let's see what we can learn, shall we?
Ryuuki, come!
And this is when anyone can join in for the thread. OPEN TO ALL
[ Hey, he's taking it seriously. As his vessel name is called forth, it's all so easy a transition- despite being as tall as he was, going to a small pair of sunglasses felt almost normal. Perhaps because they were essentially a copy of the sunglasses he normally wore. However, they don't appear right on Yona's face. Instead they form, folded up, right in her hand.
With their connection, it's easy for her to hear his voice. Though Shizuo tries to avoid thinking about how he's still him, able to communicate with her, despite being an accessory. It's weird- he still felt like he could move, despite being very solid in her hand. ]
Whenever you're ready.
/slides in here
So, it doesn't take long for him to notice Yona, curiosity masking his face when he sees her.]
Yona?
[A blink when he notices the pair of sunglasses in her hand but he still looks at the goddess curiously.]
no subject
When Izumo calls her name, she gives a little jump and glances over before smiling brightly at him. And waving the hand that is not clutching her shinki in a safe hold. She doesn't think Shizuo would appreciate being waved. ]
Good morning, Izumo, are you here to train as well?
no subject
Instead, an idea comes about thanks to Izumo showing up. ]
Ah. He could probably help out. Have you seen him use his fire powers? Ah... He had some special name for it.
no subject
[Not particularly 'training'; at least, nothing physical.
He does look curious, though.]
Are you here alone, Yona, or is Shizuo here with you?
no subject
He is, actually. We intended to try and figure out what his powers are and what they allow him to do, but we might need your assistance/ Shizuo says you have... fire magic? [ She hasn't seen that, actually, but she trusts Shizuo's word on the matter. ]
no subject
Just make sure he doesn't try anything physical. His body's still pretty damn injured.

of courseshe sits down on the grass next to him, her helmet's visor reflecting the continuing training of the others not far off.]no subject
Yo, ah, what was it Celty? Sorry, I'm pretty shit at names.

Actually, it's all too easy for Shizuo to continue in his relaxed state, smoking away while soaking in the sun. Except eventually (after a long enough while of watching the other people train) his curiosity gets him thinking. Though why he has no trouble bringing up awkward subjects is another matter, at least it doesn't come with major assumptions. ]
Have you managed to make borderlines and all that other stuff?
no subject
Not yet. Sharak wasn't sure how to explain it and my shadows have been good enough for me so far. But I know that using a borderline is what I'm supposed to do.
The pamphlet was a little help but then it mentioned shouting and I wasn't sure what to do.
no subject
Yeah, I was wondering how that'd work for you. It'd have to be possible, yeah? Things like ablutions require borderlines being used. Not that you've gotta shout to make it work- it's just saying it strongly enough.
[ She can see and hear without having a head- is it really the case that she doesn't talk? Not that he gets how that works, but it's fine enough to accept that it can happen. ]
Is it really that you can't talk, or are the rest of us unable to hear you? It's not like people have to hear you casting a borderline for it to happen.
no subject
I'm...mostly sure I can't talk? I'm not really even sure how to test that.
[Still she gives it a try, holding out her hand as directed. She gives a sweep of it and shouts the word as loud as she can in her mind.
There's a fluttering of light and energy and wind but it seems a bit unfocused. There is of course no sound coming from her. What does happen though is that her own shadows stir in alternation with those of the borderline. Like she's trying to flex one muscle and getting another instead.]
no subject
[ The question comes as the light and shadow seemed to stir into one another. They can't say it didn't work. People told him it took practice and time to get good at these shinki powers that all of them had. While not the same exact thing, his memory does manage to connect it to something else that he was told. ]
Ah, yeah. See, you managed to start something. You know what, there's a kid named Goten, who's got powers as well. He's gotta be careful with what he's thinking when making borderlines because if he's not focusing on the right stuff, he ends up blasting the area instead. You'll probably get it after enough practice.
