The flame inside the breathing ashes
Who: Lavi and Everyone
What: Aftermath of various things
Where: Far Shore
When: August 17-24
Warnings: None at the moment!
[A. August 17th - Afternoon]
[After his fight with Lux and talk with Allen, anyone who would have tried to reach Lavi will discover radio silence on his end. He left a note to Cardia explaining he’d be out all day. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone right now, not after the parting words Lux had left him with.
Avoiding everyone seemed to be the best option right now, even if he would argue instead that he was just grabbing some fresh air.
It’s why he’s chosen to walk his temple’s latest addition around the Far Shore instead.
”Someone like you should have never been given a name to begin with!”
His jaw clenches at the memory of it, but it was a mistake to take his eye off the dog since Sisi runs off and Lavi’s quick to run after it.]
Sisi, wait!
[B. I Lost You Again]
[Sometime, at some point during the month, people might find Lavi sitting at an area where Allen’s temple used to be. He has a knee drawn up to his chest, a hand covering his face as if he’s trying hard to ignore the sudden pang of loneliness that hits him. Fortunately, Sisi seems to be his company today, too, sitting beside Lavi and has his head rested on Lavi’s other leg.
The redhead gently gives him a scratch, though he looks distracted.]
Damn it, Allen.
[Sisi whimpers a bit as Lavi retracts his hand to mess with a pair of white gloves that he found - the same kind of gloves he’s seen Allen wear before.
He grits his teeth, the other hand moving away from his face and he slams a fist onto the ground.]
Damn it.
[C. He’s an Exorcist Once More]
[Somewhere in a clearing, there’s Lavi holding what appears to be a hammer that might look a little too heavy all things considering.
He has his eye closed, the head of the hammer pointed upwards as giant seals appear around him, glowing brightly. Gritting his teeth, his eye opens as one of the seals stops and glows a bright red.]
Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!
[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin!
[Slamming the hammer down with the seal stamped onto it, a torrent of flames erupt, taking on the form of a snake that surrounds Lavi briefly before shooting upwards into the sky and disappearing in bits of ashes.]

[He doesn't seem to be surprised by Shun's presence nor does he really turn to face the god.
His grip on the hammer's handle tightens, evidently tensed by something that Shun cannot see or is even aware of.]
no subject
Things come up. [Murders, hauntings, so on. But he doesn't linger on that long, instead watching Lavi much more closely.] Training to take your mind off things only works for so long.
no subject
It helps with the frustration. [A glance at the hammer briefly before he glances back at Shun.] Might want to take another step back. It's been a while since I've used this, so I might be a bit rusty.
no subject
[His tone is very level and somewhat familiar, since this is the kind of thing he tends to do when he's angry or frustrated as well.]
no subject
You never know. I need to properly control this again, after all.
[But since Shun isn't moving, the seals appear once more. There's a few that seems like it's been marked with question marks, a seal with 'Fire' on it, but as Lavi concentrates, one of the the seals suddenly turns into one for 'Wood'.]
no subject
When the "wood" one switches over, Shun's gaze shifts to that.]
At least you have more options than most of the people throwing fire around.
no subject
[But concentrating, he slams the face of the hammer into the "wood" seal and he begins to spin it. Almost immediately, wind begins to gather around the head, affecting the clouds too as they begin to gather, seemingly at the command of the seal.
A sphere of wind gathers around the hammer's head, however, and Lavi thrusts it into the sky, watching as it practically races into the clouds, making a neat hole before the clouds disperse once more.]
no subject
As Lavi slams down and spins the hammer, Shun watches the winds gather with an impassive look, following its progress up into the clouds and out of sight.]
That one could come in useful. [Not that the fire snake couldn't, but every second person here couldn't do something similar to this one.] Doesn't seem like "wood" is the most fitting title, though.
[Air might not be a traditional element, but it seems like Lavi's got a few more seals than would cover those.]
no subject
[Because from what he's seen so far, the 'wood' seal is almost similar to his powers in his vessel form.
He lets the head of the hammer rest on the ground, his expression growing contemplative as he looks at the weapon again. It makes him wonder about something, his memories of being an Exorcist clear before he turns to Shun.]
This is going to sound like a silly question, but you're not afraid of heights, right?
no subject
Though Lavi's question isn't exactly reassuring when asked while he's having serious contemplations about his hammer, it still gets a faint snort from Shun. Given Lavi's talking to the guy who jumps off his birds in mid-air to pull whatever aerial stunts he needs to, heights are about the least of his concerns.]
Definitely a stupid question, so you might as well just tell me why you're asking it.
no subject
[He sounds amused, but he does wave Shun over.]
I want to try something out and see if my memory's right on this. [He shifts the hammer's handle a bit, lowering it enough so that he can sit on it.] Come sit on it with me.
no subject
While Shun doesn't respond to Lavi's initial waving over, at the explanation of his reasoning, he raises a brow. It sounds like something else weird, but he does like to learn as much as he can about the powers and abilities of others. That logic in mind, he heads over and sits on the handle about two feet down from Lavi.]
So you got the memories of how to use this thing back with it. Seems like it would've been frustrating to figure out without them.
no subject
[Just casually pointing that out.
But he does wait for Shun to sit down on the handle, giving him a gesture to hang on.]
It would be, but figuring it out could have been half the fun. [He grips the handle.] Extend!
[Hopefully Shun is gripping the handle before it's suddenly shooting off into the sky, the head still planted onto the ground, and at a high speed.]
no subject
Though Shun doesn't usually need to hang on that tightly to things he's riding, he considers the gesture for a moment before curling his hands around the handle. He'd remark on the fact that Lavi seems to be having quite enough fun with this already, but by that point Lavi's already called the command. The handle extending off into the sky does shut him up for a moment or two, though he still seems less surprised than he could be.
For a moment or two, a wistful expression colours his features, but it disappears as he turns to look at Lavi.]
Flying in a single straight line doesn't seem that useful.
no subject
[There's more to it, he's sure, but adjusting to newly regained memories makes it hard for him to properly think more about it.
He is having fun, though. This is the closest he's ever gotten to actually flying, and a part of him realizes how much he actually likes it. Like the wind that's always there but invisible to the seeing eye.]
no subject
Admittedly, this is a kind of weird way of flying, but it's still flying. Kind of.]
no subject
[Shun, if only you could meet Lenalee.
But since Lavi doesn't remember her, he keeps on going.]
You seem comfortable being up in the air.
no subject
Lavi's remark has him pause for a few moments before answering.]
I used to fly a lot in my world. I just can't do it here. [Or at least, not in the same way, and he only heard about gods being able to fly about a day ago.]
no subject
[He still doesn't know about Duel Monsters yet, Shun.
He might jut think Shun has natural powers, too.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, with both Yuto and Fubuki having connections to Duel Monsters, Shun isn't prone to bandying the information around without good reason. As far as he's concerned, this is enough to get a general idea of what the problem is.]

no subject
[He sounds surprised. Maybe he should tell Cardia about it.]
I didn't know that was possible.
no subject
[There's a mild note of exasperation to his voice, as if he thinks they should have been told earlier, but not much more.]
I don't know how it works, but it could be useful if I get it figured out.
no subject
[Really, it does sound a bit like it'd be useful information.]
Knowing you, you will. You'd probably just enjoy the idea of being able to fly in general, actually.
