And I've got my mind.
Who: Grell and William
When: October 6th
Where: Temple of Ma'at
What: There are apologies to be made.
text;
I'm outside. Come meet me?
[ The points of Grell's teeth press into her bottom lip, as she taps 'Send'.
Yes, she's feeling a tad anxious; she'd made a grievous mistake last night, and hasn't any idea how to make up for it. It isn't often that she regrets her actions - far more rare, is for her to bother addressing it at all.
This is William, however. More specifically, this concerns how she'd just thrown away the opportunity to taste success after a century-long pursuit of his affections. At the time, it made perfect sense to her, but now...
Now, she stands outside the entrance to his temple, waiting. Intruding would not do her any favors, at the moment, and she wouldn't care to bother with his shinki, either. Not while she has so much on her mind, and must command herself to focus. ]

And, as such, she finally sets totaking that second bite of salad. ]

[ Maybe he should have gotten some wine with his meal. He feels he'd going to need something by the time this night is up.
But the longer they sit, finally enjoying their meals, the more William seems to forget there was even a scuffle under the table to begin with. His legs have now settled and even make room for Grell's to stay with them when he shifts in his seat.
By the time he's finished with his sandwich, it's almost as if any bickering that had gone on between them was simply imagined. For now, that is. ]
no subject
She's humming merrily, as she sips the last of her tea. ]
Did you want anything else before we go, darling?
[ Because she catches sight of their server, which she will be waving down for the check, otherwise! ]
no subject
[ But that earlier conversation was one that needed to happen. So a cold sandwich is hardly something worth complaining about.
The waiter, finally noticing Grell attempting to get his attention, warily approaches the table. Seems he'd like to keep away from bickering couples as much as possible. But with the two of them seemingly calmed, he gladly provides them with the bill. Of which William promptly takes, paying and leaving the boy a slightly smaller tip than perhaps he normally would have. ]
Ready, then?
no subject
I am. Let's go explore.
[ Slipping away to stand, she resituates he jacket and fluffs her hair while waiting on William to follow suit. Immediately, then, she hooks an arm about his! All to eager to lead him outside, as sitting for too long tends to leave her restless. (Unless distracted with him, apparently.) ]

Once out in the plaza again, William glances around, noting the various signs hanging outside the stores that line it. Some of the shop names are a bit vague, not really indicating what objects they might sell, but he supposes that's the point of "exploring". ]
Perhaps we should start on that side and circle around.
[ If he were to fancy a guess, those ones sound like they may be clothing boutiques. And if none of them look enticing, he's pretty certain he spots an ice cream parlor at the end of the block they could go to. ]
no subject
Of course, that only lasts until they're out on the street, pausing to find their bearings. THEN she clings, stepping closer to wrap her hands about his sleeve. ]
Hn, interesting choice! I like it.
[ At the near end of that street, to which William has gestures, there's a store named, simply, "Eve". Roman characters, cute cursive script - and she's quite certain that he doesn't know what he's chosen, but she has an idea.
The actress in her allows for the absence of laughter, so as not to spoil it, but she certainly is beaming.
It's only when they arrive at the door that the contents become obvious. Women's intimate apparel and 'novelties'. ]
After you?
no subject
Move. We have no reason to be in a shop like this.
no subject
[ Stepping forward, Grell will comfortingly pat a hand over his chest. ]
It won't be bad. You can help me pick out some new stockings, hm?
[ Grinning, she insistently threads her arm around his, ever so gently tugging him the other direction. ]
It will be an educational experience, besides! Things have changed quite a bit since our time.
no subject
[ Somehow Grell manages to get him turned about as she tugs at his arm. As she pulls him further into the store, she'll probably notice his attention being grabbed by various outfits before he catches himself and refocuses. ]
Besides, I don't see how this is going to help with that sexual tension issue you brought up earlier.
no subject
[ If his wandering attention has anything to say about it, Grell's pretty certain that she knows the answer. The shift of her brow is all too knowing! ]
Tension isn't so much of an issue. It's even a bit good, isn't it?
[ Just beyond the panties, there's a wide array of leg wear. Leggings, pantyhose, stockings, and even cute socks, in various colours and fancy styles. Already, a pair of burgundy over-knee socks with scalloped lace trim catch her eye, as she idly reaches out to feel the fabric between her fingers. ]
no subject
[ Said while eyeing a display showcasing some black lace panties that leave little to the imagination. Grell pausing to inspect the display of socks gets him to return his gaze forward, though. Honestly, he's surprised the first thing she was drawn to was something so tame. ]
As long as it is resolved, at some point, then I suppose.
[ Of course, he's referring to other, non-sexual forms of tension and doesn't realize what he's implied. ]
no subject
Oh, but then she seems to have lost her breath! Was her mind playing tricks on her, or is that really something that she heard from Will just now?
Cheeks warming, the redheaded reaper's line of vision falls to the space between them, tongue darting over her lips as she searches for the right thing to say. It's funny, how words never fail her until they're actually intended to mean something. ]
You know, Will... [ Turning to step closer, nearly breast to breast, Grell raises her hand to cup over his cheek and carefully tilt his jaw, to command his attention. ] If that's something you want, I'm ready. No matter what happens from here, my love for you won't diminish.
no subject
Obviously, I would rather that tension be gone. It doesn't exactly put me in a good mood. As you should be well aware, by now. Though, honestly, I don't see how that is possible between us.
no subject
Don't know how, hn? [ Well, while Grell IS a lady, her body is not; obviously, there are some complications there, especially if the only relations William had to speak of were with his wife. ] Not to worry. I could show you.
no subject
If you are so well informed on how to remedy this, why haven't you done so already?
no subject
[ Canting her head to meet eyes over the rims of her glasses, Grell's teeth graze over an edge of her lips. ]
Why don't we head back to my place, then?
no subject
[ Again, he's highly doubtful that they could ever stop arguing and getting on each other's nerves...'cause that's what they're talking about right now, right? ]
no subject
That's-- not the man I took you for, Will. My.
[ Yet, Grell coyly glances about, a smirk plucking at her mouth. ]
I suppose no one would notice, after all...
no subject
[ Though, that really is an odd comment for her to make. As well as the insinuation that he'd never wanted to settle things between them, at all.
He pauses for a moment, following her gaze around the shop and slowly playing through their conversation in his head. Finally, it clicks.
And Grell will get a nice bash over the head! ]
I was not talking about sex!
no subject
Of course, given the previous context, that proves to be a total turn-on - despite what a letdown his words may be - and, as such, earns a honeyed whimper. ]
A-ah... What a shame.
[ Peering up at him, she pouts! ]
You really are a tease.
no subject
[ With a shake of his head and a short, irritated huff, William manages to detach Grell from his coat, and abruptly turns to leave the shop. Obviously, being surrounded by all of these novelty items isn't helping Grell to keep those inappropriate thoughts out of her head. ]
no subject
[ Positively huffy, herself, Grell tails behind him. Once she's close enough, she'll reach out to tug at his sleeve imploringly. Not to stop him, per se, but seeking some sort of-- lenity? Goodness, what's wrong with her? ]
no subject
[ He pauses just before the door, finally glancing back to her. The look on her face is almost pathetic as she clings needily to him. Sighing heavily, he clarifies. ]
...this evening. It is our first time out like this, after all. However, if you'd like to end the day as we did last night, I would be fine with that.
[ Honestly, what's wrong with both of them? ]
no subject
I would like that.
