Susano'o Trashes Heaven
Who: Sho Minamimoto vs. Everyone!
What: Susano'o decides to take on Heaven. Chaos results.
When: All day April 19
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: In a bid to take over Heaven, Sho has unleashed an apocalyptic number of taboo ayakashi the biggest Heaven-wrecking godmode weapon this side of the Far Shore. It doesn't end well. Get ready for spring cleaning 2.0.
Warnings: Math, strong language, casual disembowelment and other violence, NPC death, potential for character death.
12:00:00 PM
Susano'o, Selfies, and the Subjugation of Heaven
As he'd revealed in his 3 AM BBS post, Sho has a variety of fascinating ayakashi that he wants to share with the world. By noon, several large heaps located in various parts of Heaven have caught on fire and there is a massive outpouring of taboo ayakashi.
Concentrated primarily near the Meeting Hall and Susano'o's junk heap of a temple, these ayakashi attack shinki and gods on sight. They're vicious, powerful, and the only way to defeat them is the power of teamwork.
At 2 PM, Joshua will be providing some helpful tips. Meanwhile, Sho will be teleport-spamming throughout Heaven. Feel free to text him, but he'll stop answering right around the time Bishamon and Hajime start to catch up to him. (Picowatt will be helping out from there on!)
Save Heaven 2K16? (Details here!)

Boss Fight: Seiten Taisei and the Neoclassical Drakes
It's the zero hour, exactly 43,200 seconds since he posted his warning to the BBS when Sho decides to change the game. Heaven has rallied against him, gods and shinki alike, and it's time to pull out the big guns.
In the air above the Meeting Hall, he unleashes thirteen Neoclassical Drakes before releasing Seiten Taisei.
And, suddenly, it's entrails everywhere.
??:??:??
Post-Battle Spring Cleaning
Well, the day is saved, but there's a metric ton left to do. The mass slaughter left a bit of a bloody mess, and Susano'o has shrines on the Near Shore covered in graffiti that can turn any stray ayakashi into the taboo sort. Weird and corrupt magics all over the place, some of which are on fire. His junkyard temple is burning merrily, and there are still some stray taboo ayakashi to put down.
Anyone ready for Spring Cleaning 2.0? Grab a mop.

Ion, who he's unfamiliar with, catches his eye first due to the transformation, but it doesn't take him long to pick out Kaneki, who's much more recognisable. Slowing from his run to a full stop alongside him, he gives the monster a long, calculating look before looking between Joker and Kaneki, and briefly to Ion as well - even vessel form shinki can pay attention to something like this.]
I don't know how many of you saw it, but someone posted on the network about these things. They need synchronisation to beat, not just plain teamwork, and they go down harder than any normal ayakashi.
no subject
Synchronisation, ye say? That's what a circus is all about! We'd be in trouble right quick if we fell out of step.
[Kaneki, Shun and even Ion are given a confident, almost cocky smirk.]
If the ayakashi is lookin' for a show, let's give 'im one!
[Stepping up to Shun's side, his voice lowers and his expression softens the slightest bit.]
Ye ready? [Already he can feel the yearn - the pull - to change into his vessel form, but Shun will need to take hold of him when he does otherwise the illusions might go awry.]
no subject
The Sharl's eyes dart to Kaneki, then to their new battle companions, and back to herself. Finally, her mouth opens up as a silent scream as she floats in mid air. This is not what she had in mind. When she does managed to choke out some words, she's practically yelling.]
N-n-n-nnNOT READY! [Sure, Ion was anxious before, but the panic really sets in now with rapid fire thoughts: 'What am I?', 'Why am I so small?', 'I can't help like this. Why am I something so useless?!', and so on.]
no subject
Ion- [He starts, halting when he gets past his surprise and processes Shun's words. Synchronizing?] You mean timing our attacks, right?
[Back home, he'd learned to do that while training with Touka and Yomo. That had been a product of experience, of sparring together and getting knocked about countless times, but it should just be a matter of paying attention to what Shun does...
If only Ion's alarm wasn't pressing in around his thoughts]
It's okay, Ion. We don't know what your abilities are yet, but you can fly, right? So you'll have a better vantage point than the rest of us.
[He offers a small, if tense smile, trying to be reassuring]
We've got this.
no subject
[As Kaneki goes to reassure Ion, Shun glances over to Joker, the prompt not needed but somewhat appreciated. It's good to have a shinki who questions, who can strategise in their own right, after having started off dealing with the soulless one.]
Obviously. You'd better prepare yourself as well...Murasakiki.
[It's a bit longer than his other shinki's vessel name, but it doesn't matter much to him, as long as it works. As it is, he waits for the change to take effect, arm out in preparation to catch the vessel and drape it over his shoulders when it's done. It's not how he'd usually wear something like that, but it's better to have it there than inconvenience himself with oversized clothes.]
no subject
With a wink, the strange, ethereal power surrounds him. His vessel has been summoned and he answers promptly. His whole form glows purple and gold before it shifts into a new shape - a coat. More particularly the coat that Joker usually wore draped over his shoulders like a cloak. The fabric flutters onto Shun's arm, nice and neat.
Murasakiki can better understand Shun's needs this way and he readies himself, filling his mind with all the images he associates with the circus. Juggling, a beast tamer, trapeze, knife throwing, clowns...]
no subject
R-right...Okay, we've got this. [She just has to believe, right?!] Be careful, you two.
[Ion's reluctant to leave, but with a small flap of her pink wings, she floats skyward while humming to herself nervously. Who knows why she's humming to begin with. It's more automatic than anything.]
no subject
Sure makes a smart coat, huh?
[A soft comment to try and work out his own nerves. His focus angles on the creature they're going to have to fight, thinking back on the first big battle he'd had in this place. This dragon made some angry jelly cube seem like nothing at all, but Kaneki did learn something from that experience]
If we strike from both sides, I think we can keep it off balance.
[Not to mention, there's less chance of interfering with each others' attacks that way]
no subject
It's hardly my type of outfit, but I'll make do. [Not that he really cares. It's not as muted as he usually dresses, but it's not completely obnoxious or embarrassing, either. It's just nicer than he's used to bothering with.
In any case, Kaneki already has the right idea here, and that's promising enough of itself. There are far worse options as to who he could've ended up fighting alongside.]
Looks like we'll need to avoid those wings as well. Don't engage any longer than we have to to land a hit.
no subject
It'll keep ye warm in and outta the battle. An' I see that ye like beasts best? I kin work with that.
[Lions, tigers, elephants... They are all at Shun's disposal.]
no subject
It suddenly clicks.
The initial sound of falling droplets projects outward from Ion as she closes her eyes and concentrates on the feeling welling up inside her. Her humming takes on a strange quality, as if playing in reverse while the droplets scatter and hover around the field. It's enough to grab one of the drake's attention, and it turns towards the gods before lowering its head at them. A red glow begins to amass in its mouth, ready to shoot them down--]
El-uu-shia fann-ta sei=ru-fi-ah;
[Like miniature explosions, the droplets surrounding them blossom into large crystal lotuses when Ion begins to sing. They're just in time to block the incoming red orbs shot at them, making them ricochet back at the drake.]
no subject
He starts to move forward so he can get between Shun and the attack, feeling he's better-prepared to absorb the damage, but he halts when large flowers bloom around them. Ion's voice drifts over them and he only has a moment to wonder what these flowers are before the drake attacks, and the energy's bounced back at him]
Wh-
[His armor dissolves into nothing, for the moment unneeded, as Kaneki stares in disbelief. Defense-flowers?]
no subject
I didn't say you were bad, I said it wasn't how I usually dress. And I'm sticking to what I'm used to for now, until we're more used to this. The only other thing I'd be close to familiar with is knife throwing, and I'm far more experienced with knives as plain weapons.
[Technically speaking, he's fairly acrobatic himself, but not in the circus sense. Better stick with the basics for the moment.
In any case, when the dragon starts its firing, Shun's already moving, leaping out of the aiming range in what ends up as a deft aerial flip, light on his feet as he lands so he's prepared to move again if he's not quite out of the firing line. It's then that Ion's shield intercepts the blasts, and Shun pauses for a brief second, glancing up at her.]
So we mostly have defensive powers to work with. [Well then, time for a test run...
Sweeping his hand out in a suitably dramatic motion towards the dragon's left rear side, Shun focuses on one of the many beasts he can see in his mind's eye - the elephant. They need something of considerable size and capable of making considerable noise to distract this thing easily from a group of their number.]
no subject
[Shun, whether he knows it or not, is exactly the sort of recruit Joker would have once drooled over. Acrobatic, precise. What does it matter if he doesn't know the footwork or the arm work? That can be taught!]
She's gotta an impressive power. [He too admires Ion's defense before quickly adapting to Shun's thoughts. An elephant in circus livery will appear, trumpeting and pounding its feet against the ground. If that doesn't do the trick, it will run at the drake, aiming at the creature with its tusks.]
no subject
The elephant is a good distraction when it charges, although the drake aims to whip it in the face with its tail once it gets close enough.]
no subject
So what remains is damaging the thing.
When he bumps into one of the flowers as he strafes around the drake, he pauses, staring at it for a beat. Then with a murmured 'excuse me', polite as ever, he continues until he's on the opposite side from Shun. Now, he just needs to be able to hit hard enough to do some damage, for an effective two-pronged attack.
Once more, the crimson imitation of a kagune spreads over him, this time concentrated on his arms. They gain in bulk, terminating in sharp claws, and were he less accustomed he'd be alarmed by the monstrous developments his body seemed to take so swiftly in brief stints, but this isn't so new to him now. Unwieldy to some degree, but not so alarming.
When the drake whips around, however, those red additions to his body quickly shift into armor again]
I um... I adapt, for whatever that's worth.
[It's the best way Kaneki can describe this thing he does]
no subject
A circus isn't the only place where acrobatics are useful.
[Though he's getting himself into a better position to attack, Shun's worry about damaging the thing is mainly for Kaneki at this point - he himself has the mace, so he can avoid making actual contact with the ayakashi hybrid in an attack, but as far as he can see right now, Kaneki can't. Blighting isn't anything they should be courting in this battle, especially not if they're going to need multiple attacks to put this thing down.
The strange mutations, though, don't take long to catch his eye, and though the explanation is a little odd, Shun actually looks somewhat impressed. Something like that would be extremely useful for close-quarters combat.]
If it stops you from getting blighted by touching that thing, it's a better weapon than nothing. [He's fairly certain when it came to ayakashi, it was skin contact that was the problem.] We just need to keep distracting that thing so it stays a weapon.
[That said, his focus shifts to around the beast's feet, images of lions and tigers coming to his mind. If they can conjure a few around its lower body, hopefully it'll be inclined to protect its underbelly from the supposed attack.]
no subject
Blimey... [What else can he say when he catches sight of those transformations...? Mutations...? What is life? His experience in Victorian England has not prepared him for...any of this. Yes, yes, it's best to laugh and pretend this is a mission that -
Someone gave them? He can almost envision a face, but he can't remember the name that goes with it.] Somethin' taller~
[Joker gives aid to Shun's vision, expanding it so the lions and tigers are leaping up steps. They can easily reach the creature's underbelly now and they do so without a hint of fear - mainly because they are conjurations, but it is quite a sight!]
no subject
Right at Ion with its jaws open wide.
It's unfortunate that most of her magic flowers are concentrated close to the ground, leaving none to protect herself while she's stuck in place.]
no subject
Hana's got me covered the-
[A gust makes him skid back in the wake of the drake's launch into the air, and he crosses his arms in front of his face. It's just a moment, a moment that seems too long when he realizes what the creature is targeting now. And it's joined by another in which Kaneki can do nothing better than stare.
With that monster in the air, being ground-bound isn't very helpful. He has to think fast, and he can only come up with one response to this]
Ion-!
[An utterance of her name is enough to revert her back to her normal form, and in the same breath he calls her vessel name again]
Renki!
[Which draws her right to his location. One thing he'd learned with Hana was that this sort of thing could be done, having once called her from a short distance away and having had gloves come at him]
no subject
[His tone is sharp, like a commander reprimanding troops, but he has his own idea of how to do that in this case. Just because his own "weapon" has lost most of its power doesn't mean he can't still make use of it.
Reaching under the fall of the coat to the back of his belt, he unclips his duel disk - it's a strange-looking thing, a large and round body holding a small screen and a deck of cards with a bolster of sorts at the back which is really just space for more, the whole thing in dark purple and silver. As he sweeps it up to his wrist, it clips itself in place with a large metal brace, and rather than pulling from the cards at the front, he opens the section at the back and pulls out a single black card.
If the holograms from this system were still as good as real with the damage to match, this would be ridiculously, unreasonably dangerous. But the fact that they aren't means it's as good a plan as he has right now to make flying more trouble than it's worth for that thing.
A blue, holographic blade flashes out as the disk turns on, and Shun lays out the card like one might load a bullet into a gun.]
Take flight, Revolution Falcon!
[A portal seems to open in the sky, and out from it comes a huge, dark, robotic bird, exhaust pipes folding out from its wings. Though it's a hologram, it looks as real as anything, and the same goes for what it does as Shun directs it toward the dragon, its wing panels starting to unhinge.]
Revolutional Air Raid!
[Those wing hatches slam out with all the sound of real metal, revealing scores of bombs hidden within, and with no further cue and an eerie, metallic screech, the bird swoops toward the dragon, dropping its payload. Though it's clear to see even from here that the bombs are doing no damage, the system still cues the drops with a huge blast of holographic fire and smoke for each one, obscuring the air and hiding their position. Bringing out two more cards, Shun summons them with less fanfare into the cloying smoke, stirring it up above the creature to imply attack from above.]
It's a hologram, but it's a sophisticated enough system that it should compensate for anything you send in. We can confuse it with this. [Warning literally anyone about what he was about to do apparently didn't occur to him, though.]
no subject
Thank heavens.
The hologram he is not expecting, however, and Shun might sense him recoiling in fright.]
Sweet mother of god...
[Joker isn't a religious person by any stretch of the imagination, but this might be scarier than the drake because it comes from one he has chosen to trust.]
Shun, how long have ye -
[It's not important.]
Wall it in with fire! Close it in a fiery cage!
no subject
Sorry...I couldn't move. [The downsides to Song Magic: the inability to move and the harm in quickly cutting off the energy flow.]
no subject
Don't worry about that...are you okay?
[He's going to take the time to confirm this much before engaging the drake again, since Shun's attacks appear to be forcing the creature back down to a height he can actually reach]
no subject
Shaking his head slightly, he continues stirring the holographic smoke and flames and urging the dragon down. The beast can't seem to tell the difference, judging by its frustrated roars as it snaps at the movements within the fog - helpfully, it's far enough away from their position that it gives them time to regroup.]
It's always been my weapon, until I got here and it turned into nothing better than a distraction. It's nothing that needs to be feared.
[At least, not in this place, and not by his allies.
Sparing a glance towards Kaneki and Ion, he hisses slightly through his teeth. It's hard not to sympathise, but he hates wasting time in combat.]
If she is, we need something better than that practice run. The longer we wait, the more pissed off it's going to get.
