Shun
Fubuki (17th)
[While Shun doesn't outright dismiss the expression of sympathy as he might with others, he does rather pointedly go back to his tea and not remark on it. It's his loss, and one he can't help but feel partially responsible for somewhere deep in him. He'll deal with the trauma himself.
There's a faint sigh of annoyance at what Fubuki chooses to switch the topic to from there, though.] I take care of myself fine. You all just choose to waste your energy on worrying.
[He's particularly determined not to look worn down right now, with Fubuki seemingly a bit distracted by these past events and Ren with his own worse problems they'd talked about before all this started happening.]
no subject
I just needed to say it. And if not me or the rest...Munakata's here now, too. [Not that he wants Munakata to jump into this kind of thing if he doesn't want to, but some people just hit it off without there having to be a reason. They did strike Fubuki as being somewhat similar.]

Fubuki (16th)
You told me to stay hidden. [Little Shun seems kind of confused by the remark, because even if he thought it was unnecessary, sometimes you just have to do what adults say even if it sounds that way.
When Fubuki asks whether he thinks the birds are scary, though, Shun laughs a little bit like it's the silliest question he's heard all day.] They're big and cute and cool. Why would they be scary?
[Despite the fact that some of the birds are literally as long as he is tall, Shun seems unperturbed by this detail.
When Fubuki holds out his hands, Shun gives him an odd look for a moment before reaching out to take them.] What for?
no subject
[His hands close over Shun's and he gently pulls Shun with him as he steps backward, walking them out of the shelter of the door. His gaze is still on Shun, but his attention is focused outward on the sound of wingbeats or anything else that would indicate an approach.]
[The vultures don't attack anything that isn't a threat; Fubuki pops in and out of the temple just fine. But he can't...leave that to chance. At the end of the day, they're carrion birds, portent of death, cause of desecration ...a kind of "necrovalley," if you will, and they're just kind of unsettling okay]
[Although...this little test would probably work better if the vultures weren't busy eating right now. ...That just means Fubuki has successfully reduced the danger level—]

Naoto
She seemed like she did, but it's hard to help it anyway. [It might not be his fault, but it seems like he's surprised a few people today just by virtue of being like this, and when he's not really sure why that is, it troubles him a bit that they might have needed his other self here for some reason instead.
It's good to have the offer of information, though, and Shun takes a moment to consider what he should probably be focusing on here.]
That girl explained a little bit about the god and shinki stuff to me, so I know enough about that to get on with. Does this kind of weird stuff happen often, then? Obviously nobody's figured out what caused this anyway, but a lot of the people who remember being here longer seem to be kind of taking this in stride.
no subject
I can't really say. This is the first time something like this has happened to me here, but I also have not been here nearly as long as some of the others. I have heard of a few odd occurrences in the past, but nothing quite like this.

Reisi (16th)
[The little Shun listens just as intently as promised, pulling a pen out of one pocket to note the topics down on his palm so he remembers all of them. Once he's sent off, Shun goes and finds somewhere quiet and pulls out the phone he woke up with, searching the topics online and noting down things that seem like they might be relevant.
Once the examination time rolls around, he bounces back in rather excitedly.]
I read about all the stuff! It was really interesting.
no subject
[It's important to make sure before he administers the questions, after all.]
It seems you very much enjoyed your homework, after all.
(no subject)
Goku
[The sudden growl makes Shun pause for a moment, though after it passes, he just laughs a bit at it.]
Um, I don't really know. There was some in the place I woke up...do you know if there's any back in your castle house thing? I know you snuck out, but sneaking back in for food might be good to do.
[Being sneaky is always a good idea, apparently.]
no subject
[ He lowers his voice like he's sharing a secret. It'll be much better to go back into the castle with a friend! Just in case. ]
You wanna go see?

Hakkai
[That seems to be a satisfactory answer to the little Shun, and he nods firmly as if deciding on something.]
Then I can come learn stuff whenever the next classes are. I don't want to stop learning just because there's weird things happening and I'm not at home anymore.
[The thought does seem to trouble him a bit, though, and he subsides a bit to rub his arm.] I hope I'm not here too long, though. I still don't know where Ruri is...
no subject
[And where people are.
Yes -- that part is very important.]
Is Ruri your friend? Or family?

Oh, that sounds really cool! [Shun is also a bit of a dork, so they're all good here.] If you did that with all the books, you'd definitely be amazing and powerful and all that stuff.

Hibiki
[Despite the fact that Shun didn't really sign up for this, he has less of a problem about being volunteered for it than he probably should, and he holds a hand to his chin thoughtfully.]
I guess it would mean I get to meet all the people, but this place is really big. Maybe getting people to tell other people so they can tell even more people would work...

It is. I don't really know what's going on either, and nobody seems to have any actual answers.
[With a slight hiss of annoyance, he rubs the back of his head.]
no subject
No, they don't.
[And it's annoying.]
Not even the old god I met knew.

Kairi (16th)
No, it's the other way around, purple hair and pink eyes. [Shun makes a circular motion with one finger to indicate the mistake. If this woman knows someone with pink hair, though, that's kind of close...
When the woman asks for names, Shun points at himself.] I'm Shun, and the girl is Ruri. What about you?
Re: Kairi (16th)
[Whoops, she feels bad she got that backwards, especially because she's getting corrected by a small child.]
Hm. Sorry Shun, I don't know a Ruri. Let's see...
[She pulls out her phone to check the listing though.]

Kairi (17th)
[Once she's finished messing around with his hair, Shun straightens up, patting it down a bit.]
I'm Shun. And I don't remember anything in this place before this morning, so I guess we've both forgotten something.
no subject
Shun. Okay. You have an easy name to remember.
[Unlike some people she's met today. This clearly makes him a good friend on top of letting her touch his hair.]
I didn't forget the way home though!

Brave and strong people can still get scared too, though. Or be worried. Being worried would still mean he'd find somewhere to wait for you.
[This is apparently a matter of deepest thought for Shun, despite the fact that he doesn't know this person and can't actually judge what the cause of his behaviour might have been.]

Hajime
[Well, this girl seems more...exuberant than he's used to, and he still doesn't know what's with the weird nickname, but Shun returns the handshake after only a moment of hesitation. She seems friendly enough, even if the whole situation is still confusing.]
You're telling me. It's been a hell of a weird day. [Highlights including being met by at least three other people claiming to know him, being shown pictures of his older self, and then later finding out he's apparently dating someone he doesn't remember at all.] At this point I'm just hoping I get older again and remember what I'm supposed to remember.
[Withdrawing his hand, he folds his arms with a look of thought.] You don't actually know what it is that's causing this, do you? I've met a lot of people who remember everything, but still don't know what's going on.
