Who: Hazel and u
What: small priest is heckled by trees and literature
When: May 21~23 or so, flexible
Where: Far Shore places
Warnings: hazel and jae-ha have an active sex life
Summary: heckle
I. spooky trees
[It is what it sounds like: somewhere on the Far Shore, anywhere on the Far Shore, where Hazel is and where you, the witness, also happen to be, Hazel is making his waydowntown around minding his own business like a man being followed. Or: he keeps looking over his shoulder, or stopping abruptly to look suddenly off to one side, or do all manner of things that look very much like he's trying to catch someone sneaking up on him.
But there isn't anyone there, because of course there isn't. Eventually, exasperated, he just comes to a natural stop and announces to the air:] Even the dang trees're nosy.
[have you ever been stalked by a spooky forest]
II. what kind of dewey decimal is this
[There's a library and new gods are being invited to come. That's enough for Hazel to finally nose around in there, after staying very much away from anything involving being within spitting distance of the old gods before now. He's a sight to behold when any individual old god passes by and expects a greeting, all manners and flattery and unpleasant looks the moment their backs are turned. He'd give them a rude gesture for the road, but that's far too improper for him.
But when he's not making childish faces at other gods' backs, he's trying to find... anything at all worthwhile in this place. There's nothing in order. It's a wreck. He can't find a single thing, and for all his practicing there are still plenty of kanji he's never seen before, so the older books in particular are brutal...
He pauses, picks a book up off a shelf, and frowns at it.] I can't even remember lookin' for this, it was so long ago.
[He has been here for Hours.]
III. wildcard
[hello what would you like to do? please ask and I can deliver]

this embarrassing one is for jae-ha
But Hazel is excited about this nonsense and he's going to buy Jae-Ha lots of cheesy trinkets that are too embarrassing to wear in public. He's a great boyfriend and Jae-Ha will doubtless appreciate him sooo much.
Soooo much.
So wherever Jae-Ha has decided to stop and relax in the house today, he will soon be joined by Hazel's arms wrapping around him from behind
to blindly attach yet another embarrassment token to the front of his shirt. HELLO.]

[ A book! At YOU!
It flies from her hand, through the air, and promptly smacks the wall right next to his face, sending dust up into the air.
Honestly, she thought she saw a spider or something. ]

II. (May 22nd)
He pulls one book out, staring blankly at the dramatically bloodstained shower stall emblazoned on the cover, sighs, and puts it back, tapping one claw against the edge of the shelf.
The expostulation from the slightly luckier patron next to him catches his attention, and he glances up.]
Oh, you found the book you were looking for? Don't put it back down.

It's pure dumb luck that he happens to find someone ahead on the path. But he's not quite sure how lucky because this guy seems...um...
Is he afraid of trees???]
Uh...is something...

And then he sees Hazel, making some sort of face at someone behind their back. At first, Urashima doesn't say anything at all... but then it happens again and he sort of just leans over the shelf, head resting on crossed arms, tilting curiously to one side, )
That isn't very nice.

This really shouldn't be possible, and yet. He's willing to swear (loudly and prolifically) that the forest right there, off to the east? That forest wasn't there a minute ago. That was a hill, a minute ago. And back the way he came, where that picturesque little creek is? He didn't cross that creek. It was a forest when he was there, and he skirted faaar around the damn thing. There's something not right about that little grove of dark trees, and he's in no rush to find out what that wrongness entails.
(Other than the forest, though... why is everything here so damn picturesque? It's like living in a post card.)
It's really starting to freak him out, not gonna lie. In fact, he's just about ready to give up on his errand and teleport home, never mind that it feels like fleeing with his tail between his legs, when he hears a voice from the other side of the hill. The hill that was just a forest. What the fuck. ]
Oi! You're seein' this too?
[ He's not crossing over that hill though, no sir. That hill is now unnatural: it might turn into a forest at any minute. Can't even trust the landscape around here, swear to god. ]
The fuck is going on?

I think you have a fan club.
[She put her things down, and trotted over, peering around Hazel and...yup.
It's still there. Just. Hanging out. Being tree like.]
Do you usually have a forest following you, or is this new?

I. spooky trees
[Schuldig calls out from several feet away, not having been actually stalking Hazel on purpose. He just got caught up in the forest when it found Hazel and now he's trying to get out. He does know from Jae-Ha's memories who this is, but he doesn't have an opinion one way or the other about the man. Wrong place wrong time, that's all he's got today.]
I can't seem to get out of this forest - I just keep walking along the edge of it, it seems.
