[They've been in this clothing store for ten minutes now, and Jae-Ha is already wondering what he's supposed to do with his own taste in fashion. He can't seem to find any of the long robes he likes, and the pants he's run across are too tight for his liking. He's not even looking at shoes, for some reason, and eventually, he slides over to pinch at the material of a strange looking coat with a collar that's too big.]

I don't think I've seen a single thing I can see myself in. Have you?

[What's wrong with his robes, is what he was about to say, but then there's that question and he can't resist. He half turns away and smiles, reaching up to grab at the button where his robe comes together.]

You're asking me to strip in public? How scandalous... Putting on a show for all of these people, they'll definitely notice!

[He wants to do this, it's so clear. He unbuttons the first section of buttons to let his robe slip off a shoulder and reveal his hideous undershirt.]

But for you, I'll strip!

Well, that's not exactly— [Okay, he's not being listened to. Did Jae-Ha just want to take his clothes off in public...??

Hazel doesn't know what to do. For the first time in A Few Days, he is at a loss. He glances left and right a few times, wondering how many people are now suddenly aware of the stripper in their midst. Huh...]

That ain't a shirt, I'm afraid.

[razzledazzles]

It's an undershirt!

[He isn't pulling his robe back up. He definitely just wanted to take his clothes off in public. It's an Urge, don't look at him.

Meanwhile, a handful of people are looking at him. There are whispers.... and Jae-Ha even waves at a couple of cute girls who are too flustered by this creep to do much more than gasp in surprise. Where did he come from.]

It's an under-somethin'. [Not a shirt... That would be too small even on Hazel, who is small to begin with. He looks around when Jae-Ha starts waving to people, reaching up to tug his hand down and walk away from this spot before they get kicked out. Invisibly kicked out? Getting kicked out would probably make them more noticeable trying to come back in, and he wants this tie, so let's go.]

We'll get ya a nice shirt that covers all the essentials.

[Shirtless sleeves? Who cares, he wears a robe!! His arm is lowered and he's forced to peer his eyes away from these poor teenage girls as they continue along. Finally, he pulls his robe back up over his shoulder and buttons it up.]

So long as it looks nice, my style can change a little, I suppose.

[churchbelle]

[Free them... free them all. Hazel picks a different rack of shirts, letting go of Jae-Ha to look through them quickly. He's just checking for color here, honestly, since he picks up a green one instantly.

It's green. Jae-Ha likes green. Hazel isn't good at this.]

Here, try that one.

[THAT'S... TOO FLASHY.]

You know, I wear colors other than green. [Don't make him put this on...]

[What's wrong with this???]

Looks like they've got the same thing in blue. How's blue?

[put on the wacky shirt.]

Blue might be a little less shocking.

[It won't make him look like a tall green demon. He quietly takes the blue shirt instead of the green... Fine.] Are there rooms to change?

[Now he'll actually use a dressing room...]

[He suddenly grows humility... What a weirdo. Hazel nudges him to turn in the direction of the changing rooms and just go. He'll be here, looking at real clothes, or: t-shirts. He's excited about t-shirts these days.]

Knock yourself out. I'll be out here if ya struggle.

[Can Jae-Ha tie a tie??]

[He gives him a look like he won't struggle, but in the dressing room, he does in fact struggle with the tie. He steps out with this shirt, clearly uncomfortable in how he's holding himself, and holding the tie in one of his hands.]

I'm afraid I don't remember ever having to tie one of these.

[churchbelle]

[Hazel meanwhile has wandered into t-shirt territory, where he is collecting a small stack of shirts. He looks up when Jae-Ha returns, immediately looking at the tie instead of how Jae-Ha is so uncomfortable to cover up how he nearly laughs... This poor loser.

He looks so stupid... maybe if he wore real pants!!]

Never ever? What a surprise. [no it isn't] It's been a while, but I could give it a try.

[razzledazzles]

I don't know that it's worth it.

[He says this, but he still passes the tie over. Just in case... He's not sure, all of these shirts in here seem like they'd feel this way on him.] Don't look so pleased that I'm having such a bad time.

[churchbelle]

Who's pleased? I like the blue, that's all.

[Weird sweatpants, boots, and that shirt?? It's funny! He takes the tie, holding it up in front of Jae-Ha to judge how it would look.

Funnier, probably. This is fine.]

Do ya wanna try, or not? Nobody's forcin' ya to put on a tie.

I might as well learn how to tie one.

[If he can learn from watching it like this. Just do it, asshole.] This is really the first shirt you could find that made you think of me?

[churchbelle]

[Don't get testy. It's fashionable and he'll do his best.]

Not exactly. The green one was. C'mere. [Come down to his level... he needs to loop the tie around.]

[He hunches over since Hazel won't tiptoe for him.]

My beauty is more subtle than that. What about a simple, plain shirt, with a jacket for an accent? Maybe something like that would work.

[churchbelle]

[Does Jae-Ha want him to try tying this while balancing on his toes? That seems unsafe. Give him a few minutes, he's like, ten years rusty on this...]

Ya had all that in mind and ya still came over to say there was nothin'? You're a strange one.

[Still, they can look for plain shirts... he guesses...

He's still working on the tie.]

I only came up with it now.

[Don't sass him, he's brainstorming. But now he's trying to watch Hazel's hands fumbling with his tie, and it's harder to see than he would have guessed. It's also taking a long time...]

If you can't remember how, you don't have to...

[churchbelle]

I'm workin' on it, give it time.

[Don't rush him!! Now he'll do an even worse job, since he's been criticized. Does he look like he's worn a tie since ever? He knows how to do this though, he does...!

In like, two more minutes. Really.] They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

[razzledazzles]

[He's struggling so much, it almost makes up for how lame he feels in this shirt. Jae-Ha smiles pleasantly. His back hurts, like this.]

I'm sure they're very different. At least I don't feel ashamed not being able to tie it myself.

[churchbelle]

[This tie deserves to be taken out back and strangled, ugh. Hazel struggles with it for the home stretch, and finally, it is something resembling a tied tie. But kind of lumpy and crooked.

He looks at it for a beat, then reaches forward again to start untying it. Never mind.]

Forget about the tie. Y'want a jacket? We'll look at jackets.

[This is a great, fun time now. Even if he doesn't find anything he likes, this is hilarious.]

Jackets it is! Let's have a look. [He reaches up to finish untying the tie, shooing Hazel's hands away.]

[He is ashamed of his tie failure... This is why he picked out a bolo tie, they're very simple. He makes a face, displeased with the Tie Incident, then turns to pick up his little t-shirt pile first before scanning the store for jackets.]

If you're not gettin' the shirt, go take it off. Ya look powerfully ridiculous in the shirt-and-boots combo.

[Just saying. The sweatpants are also silly.]

How harsh. I didn't choose this shirt...

[And there's nothing wrong with his boots? He takes the tie back and heads back to the dressing room to take the shirt off. By the time he comes back out, he hopes Hazel has found something interesting and fitting.]

It wasn't very comfortable, either.
