[Slowly, Jae-Ha slides his hand off of Hazel's face and along the side, lacing lightly into his hair. Hello.]

And here I thought I was being considerate for not waking you.

[Oh, okay. That's much better. He's already placated by this... hmm.]

It was a nice thought, don't get me wrong. I won't begrudge ya for lookin' at me.

[Hmm... He wants to keep his hand like this, but should he really be getting so deep into feelings already immediately after their naps? Reluctantly, he pulls his hand away, letting Hazel's hair slip through his fingers a little slower than he has to.]

You're not sore from how you're sitting, are you?

[Will Jae-Ha ever win at gay chicken? Experts uncertain. Hazel isn't going to demand he do that again, but he's still somewhat disappointed. Still in over his head, good to have that confirmed again...]

I'm not doin' too bad. [The perfect vague non-answer so he isn't obligated to move, honestly.] Why, did those legs finally fall asleep on ya, too?

[The day he wins is the day he gets way too into it. What if he scares Hazel off!! These are legit worries.]

Not at all. [He bounces them just once or twice as if that proves it.] I don't think you're heavy enough to cause something like that.

[He's still not sure what to do with his other hand yet, so he taps at his own lips.] Did you at least sleep well?

Oh, well, ain't that fortunate. Lucky me.

[Definitely lucky Hazel. Now he can sit here whenever he wants!! How did he sleep, though-]

You're plenty comfortable.

[He... he can't even make a joking comment about how his "beautiful body" is of course comfortable. Hazel's just still going, immediately from waking up. They both are. A night has passed, and now a few hours, his migraine is gone and... they're still chatting like this.

He laughs, and when he tries to stop it short, it bubbles up again for a bit longer. Hazel is really something else...

Yep, he's also still in too deep.]

[He's just being honest!! It could have been a better nap, but it was surprisingly comfortable for being sideways on a couch and half on another dude. But it's so much nicer to tell him he's comfortable without the details... he's doing Jae-Ha a kindness.

That laughter is really... He's too adorable. Hazel just went from definitely to incredibly lucky, ugh.]

So, feelin' better?

Like new.

[The cherry blossom hell has finally faded away completely. There's no lingering headache, no nausea, no dizziness... Ah, thank goodness. Somehow, a nap has even done wonders for the bags that were under his eyes before. Amazing how that works.]

You may have cured me, after all. [Just not from Feelings...]

[Great, Hazel can continue to be all over him without any hangover guilt. Not that he had much of that at all. He's been really helpful, Jae-Ha says so...]

I'm just doin' my part in keepin' my partner whole and healthy. [like this, yes. Feelings are not part of the cure-all.] 'Course, now I've got no earthly idea what time it is.

This is another example where the time doesn't actually matter.

[ See?? Who needs to know, when it's a relaxing day! He shakes their joined hands just slightly. ] But you can get up to check, if you'd like.

Tryin' to get rid of me? [Ha... He doesn't actually think so, but. Who needs to know the time. More importantly, how long is this going to last if he gets up and wanders away...]

I'd say it's somethin' like... good enough time to relax o'clock. [He makes a point to peer past Jae-Ha toward the window as he says this, like the beautiful weather will tell him the time. Good, good.]

Not at all. [ It's some early afternoon time, probably... Jae-Ha still isn't used to relying on the actual time, but he knows the hours in a day by now. They have so much of it left, and he still doesn't want to waste a second. He brushes some of his own hair out of the way, since it keeps slipping forward when he looks down at Hazel too much. ]

I'm feeling well enough that I can even make us something to eat in a little while. But I'm far too comfortable like this right now.

[One day Hazel will learn that Jae-Ha can't tell time. Until then, with the promise of some kind of late lunch eventually, he'll enjoy just sitting here... He does shift somewhat, to get the stiffness out of his limbs from sleeping in this same position. He needs to stretch but without getting up or moving too much, this is something to behold.]

Don't go to sleep on me again. [jokes!! He needs his own filler before he says things without sass.] Good to see you're feelin' better so quickly.

[ It is a sight to behold and so Jae-Ha doesn't bother to look away. Look at this nerd, trying to stretch without getting up. Surely it shouldn't be allowed to be so... Hm. Well, he's watching, covering his mouth with his fingers. ]

I wouldn't be able to if I tried, now. [ he is Wide Awake, hello Hazel and legs and all. ] I was worried it would take all day to feel better, so I'm relieved myself. But now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have let it drag on for a bit, so I could see you caring for me a little longer...

[ he's joking completely, but like... Forehead touching was exciting. ]

[There is nothing wrong with his dumb stretching aside from everything about it... He's just thirsty, leave him. Listen to this brand new Jae-Ha kink, wow!!]

Now he wants to play doctor... [why is he like this] Didn't ya tell me to be careful with my spoilin'?

[He totally listened! Now he helpfully reaches over to brush back some of Jae-Ha's hair that he missed, hello.]

[ he has a lot of interests. But ah, there's a nice hand brushing back his hair... He could just let that happen, but he's awake now. So, he reaches with his free hand to grab that hand and keep it near his face as he looks Hazel over. Hmmm. ]

I did, but it's not my fault if you didn't listen soon enough. [ he's already been invited to be like this as far as he's concerned ] Now I can't get enough.

[ it's fine if he says these serious things with his usual joking around tone, right? That makes it casual. Yes. ]

[Hmm, okay. Hazel will gladly touch his face without being told, wiggling his fingers in Jae-Ha's grip to try and convey this. He'll do it...]

Well, ya don't need to start callin' me doc. That just doesn't have the same ring to it, y'know? [Jokes.... But also don't spring doctor nicknames on him, he's drawing that line.]

Your hair's still somethin' of a mess. [So let him fix it. Free him.]

[ Jae-Ha just laughs at that, slowly releasing that wiggling hand. ]

Doctor doesn't suit you at all. It's so serious... Even teacher seems a better fit. [ He will only go this far with nicknames... But go on, fix his hair because he's already touching it curiously. ]

Is it really?

[Wow, that's so flattering of him. Hazel hums, sliding his fingers into Jae-Ha's hair. It's not really a mess, but he'll helpfully hold it back anyway.

Hmm, it's nicer up close... Everything about Jae-Ha is nicer up close, he's decided, brushing his thumb lightly over his cheek.]

Aren't I a serious man? I am a man of God, remember. [totally.]

Are all men of God like you?

[ He says it a little thoughtfully, like he might have to meet some more fake priests if this is the standard. Really though, there's nothing more he could ask for when Hazel is brushing a finger against his cheek and touching his hair... It's strange how he hasn't woken from this dream, but he'll take it.

His free arm moves to rest casually over Hazel's shoulder, since his hair is clearly being taken care of. He'll toy with the ends of Hazel's instead. ]

[He's totally legitimate, excuse you. There's barely any room to move closer to Jae-Ha without pressing flush against him, but Hazel will do his best. An arm over his shoulder is more enticing than it has any right to be, making a smile tug at the corner of his mouth while he touches his cheek again. Hmm.]

Certainly not. Most of 'em are terribly borin'. [Or violent, or creepy... There's just so much irony in all these undesirables being priests. Most importantly,] And only a couple of 'em are good-lookin', like myself.

[How lucky!! He smirks properly now, shifting his hand to cup Jae-Ha's face by his ear. Hello.]

I really am a lucky guy.

[ Hello hand, and hello heartbeat again-- Jae-Ha has his own smirk in place, eating this up. His fingers run through Hazel's hair at the base of his neck and he turns his head just slightly into that cupped hand. ]

I hate this shinki and God business, but I've been blessed with a God who dislikes it just as much. Being a beautiful man who enjoys good fun would have been enough to win me over alone, but somehow I've got both. [ He's so serious... It's great. ]

[That touch near his neck shouldn't send a chill down his spine the way it does, but well. It does. He's hopeless.]

That's still on your mind? [The bitterness - not like Hazel is any better, but he wasn't going to bring it up in earnest in the middle of all this. Hmm.] Well, I can't deny it. Imagine me with a good lil shinki who only wanted to do right by the higher office gods.

[Life sure would suck for that imaginary person! They're just so lucky to be bitter and gorgeous together... Hazel cants his head slightly to the side, considering Jae-Ha yet again.

Yep... he's still pretty.] I'd reckon we're both lucky men. I've been soundly won over, myself.

[ That's such a funny image, honestly. Jae-Ha doesn't see any problem bringing up something seriously in a casual way. Right now, he's not absorbed in his thoughts about it because he's so lucky. But the picnic had brought some things fresh to mind. None of them matter now, with Hazel looking at him like that and them touching in every cautious way they can.

He's really happy. With Hazel, there's no need to worry about his past. It's just the two of them, making the best of an otherwise lousy situation and having a good time. It's home here, it really is. Nothing's going to break this comfort for him.

Grinning brightly, his fingers press more certainly at the base of Hazel's neck as he leans his face down closer. He doesn't make their foreheads touch or anything, because that would be too close to what he actually wants to do and he might be tempted. He just wants to look at those eyes some more. ]

You're admitting it! So you think I'm irreplaceable? I'm a beautiful wonder of the world? [ He loves goofing around like this. What a light, freeing feeling this is. ]
