The Far Shore has been dealing with a lot of space-time pulsating through the past week or so and everything is culminating on the night of the 15th, even though the Heavens are preparing for an all-out Obon bash. They had planned to have the celebration on the 15th itself, but Amaterasu asked to postpone a day due to the horrible feeling that is permeating the Far Shore.

And it turns out she was right to postpone everything. In fact, it will have to be postponed another whole month at this rate...



Before

Late in the day on July 15th, the new batch of shinki will arrive to a Far Shore with a thick, tense atmosphere. All night on the 15th it feels like something is about to happen - and it's difficult to tell whether that something will be good or bad. Any attempts to contact the management of the Far Shore have fallen on deaf, slightly harried ears and so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out why things are so tense.

July 16

Just after midnight, an explosive shock wave rips through the Far Shore, bringing on the age changes with it. Even the spirits of the Far Shore seem to be affected - for example, the library goblins are either toddling around on wobbly legs or are dragging themselves from place to place and looking decrepit. There are a few gods and shinki that seem to have been exceptions from the change, though it is not clear why.

July 17

Another wave of energy comes in the early morning of the 17th. Fewer people are affected this time and it seems to alter those people's ages a second time. There is no rhyme or reason to who is being affected further. Several of the library goblins have just dropped dead from severe old age. Oops.

Aftermath

Late on the 17th brings about one final burst from the energy that has been plaguing the Far Shore. For a short moment, every new temple glows with a soft light, seeming to beckon to their owners. But the light is gone quickly and everyone will find themselves back to normal with complete memories of everything that happened during their age adventures. The goblins that died, though, are still very dead. Looks like the library will need to get some new help soon.

[July 16th]

[Apologies to anyone who happens to be walking around, still remaining the same or has been affected by whatever is going on in the Heavens, there is a tiny redhead with an eye-patch just walking around and looking very much peeved by the fact he has no idea where he is.

But dragging along with him is a tiny goblin that seems to be struggling to keep up with him.

Depending on the time of day: (Morning) the goblin will be seen being dragged with Lavi and more than likely being pushed off to the nearest person, (Noon) the goblin is missing, but Lavi seems to be staring at something in the distance that leads back to the library, (Evening) Lavi is sitting on a bench somewhere, curled up and looking upset.]

[July 17th - Whenever]

[After Lavi finally gains his bearings, he's a bit more active and walking around again.

Although, depending on who's been helping him on the 16th, Lavi could very well be walking with that person. After all, Lavi has the tendency to wander off alone.

Whoever is with him, he blinks once and tugs on the hand of the person who's with him.]

July 16, Noon

[Lavi? That's Lavi, isn't it? Just how many people were affected by that weird feeling?

Izuku looks a little bit older, a few inches taller, but he's still recognisably himself.]

... Are you looking for something?

A goblin ran away.

[Lavi doesn't look at Izuku, though it's noted how his tone suddenly became colder.]

It ran back to the library.

[Interesting. He wonders what happened in Lavi's life, but it's not something that he can really bring up.]

... Was it a normal goblin?

[Does Lavi know what a normal goblin even looks like right now?]

the 16th-morning

[Cardia had felt the strange ripple that ran through the heavens last night but isn't sure what to make of it. Everything seems fairly normal. At first.

But Lavi is nowhere to be found. It's with a rising sense of dread that she starts searching. He isn't gone. She'd know if her connection to him had been severed. She holds onto that thought as she checks all the usual places.

She might have walked by the small boy dragging the goblin along. Except some instinct has her taking a second look. The red hair... the eye patch.... and...


She stops in front of him.]

It can't be....

[But somehow she knows it is.]

Lavi?

[ripplesoflosttime]

[Lavi blinks at the call of his name, stopping and steadies the goblin before it crashes back to him.

He looks around before he notices Cardia, stopping and staring at her.

There's a long stare.]

My name isn't Lavi. [Enter the confusion.] It's Shaye.

[drops_acid]

Shaye?

[So much confusion. She's pretty sure this is Lavi though. But what happened to him? And... is there anything she can do? But she doesn't want to scare him. She'll play along.]

I- I'm sorry. You look very much like a friend of mine.

[A friend she already misses. A lot. She doesn't actually have a heart, so Cardia's not really sure what to make of the tight, almost painful feeling in her chest.

For now, she kneels down to put herself on his level.]

Are you alright?

16, evening

[Fortunately, the bench Lavi has decided to curl up on is right outside the school. A tiny figure has been watching him attentively for a couple of minutes before disappearing and, soon enough, there's a young boy in an ill-fitting beanie tentatively approaching.]

....Are you lost too...?

[At first, Lavi tenses before he allows himself to relax a bit.

He nods.]

Do you know where this place is?

july 16 noon

[ It took most of the morning to convince Lux to venture out and away from the tiny church where she awoke. Although being stuck indoors isn't necessarily where she wants to be, going outside is...

Dangerous? Exciting? Probably against the rules without proper adult supervision? Yes she worries about this.

But curiosity would eventually rule the day, and by early afternoon, the small blond ventures outside. Barefoot. All the shoes in what she thinks is her room are way too small. And all of the clothes too; thank goodness she has a dress that fits!

Seeing the red haired boy staring (wait, is that an eye patch?), Lux stops, chanting her head almost comically to the side to look at him, then off at the direction of where he is staring. ]

What are we looking at, exactly?

[ Miss prim and proper shinki here wants to know! ]

A goblin.

[But wait.

He blinks once upon the voice, looking over at her.

....Who is this person and why is she here now.]

July 16 - Evening

[He'd let it get relatively late before giving up and leaving the school to explore. Everything is still unfamiliar, and he's beginning to wonder just how much time he's missing, and what might have happened.

The oddest part is that he doesn't look as though he's aged a day.

A little boy curled up on a bench set back from the path catches his eye, and after a brief struggle with himself over whether he really wants to stop or whether he should keep looking, Gonou lets out a breath and heads over.]

Excuse me. [He settles on the other end of the bench, hoping it'll help him look less threatening.]

Are you lost?

[Upon hearing the unfamiliar voice, Lavi instinctively tenses.

He's not afraid of fighting if he has to, but as he looks at the man, it's almost as if his instincts are telling him to run. There's something not right about him.

So, have an uneasy look from the tiny redhead as he uncurls himself.]

No.

[A pause before Lavi just. Looks a little more uneasy.]

Who are you?

July 17

[Whoever Lavi is walking with, Hajime doesn't care because she isn't there for them.

From behind the small boy, two hands slide under his arms and he is suddenly hoisted of the ground and held high into the air---or at least as high as a 5 foot girl can hold up a small child. There's happy squealing to go along with it.]

FOUND YOU!

[WHY IS HE BEING LIFTED UP.

Lavi yelps out in surprise, prepared to fight and realizes that yes, a person is holding him up, so he just tries to peer down at her.]

Who are you?

[And why are you lifting him. Please put him down. Hajime, he doesn't appreciate this.]

What are you doing?

[ Plop. Small girl sitting on this bench like it's her personal property. ]

[What else does it look like he's doing.

He eyes her.]

Isn't it too late for you to be out here?

( Even if he's a child, he's hard to miss. The bright red hair and eye patch are the same and she thinks she knows who it is. Quietly, so as to not frighten him off (like so many other children here) she asks quietly, )

Is something the matter?

No.

[The answer is quick, almost harsh, but he holds himself back from lashing out too much.

He frowns a bit, lifting his eye in order look at her.]

Why do you care?

July 17 - Age 4

A beach! So we can play!

[But she looks at him and smiles.]

Won't that be fun?

[A beach, huh?

Lavi blinks once, wondering if he should argue, but she's younger than him and good so he just nods.]

How far is the beach?

[ There's a small hand going over to gently shake him as a concerned voice speaks up. ]

Are you okay?

[ripplesoflosttime]

[Lavi jerks in surprise, hand coming up as if to hit whoever is touching him, but he quickly stops himself.

Instead, he lifts his head enough to see the other little boy.]

I'm okay.

Evening

[ He's wandering around, because his world has suddenly become smaller with the loss of his god. Itachi walked through a park, lost in his own mind... when he spotted a familiar shade of red hair. Well, Lavi was the only redhead he knew, but still. ]

[ As he approached, he noticed that... this boy was a lot smaller than the man he knew. He slowed down... but... even so... same green eye. Same eyepatch. But... this was a child. ]

[ A child who looked lost. ]

[ Itachi tilted his head, approaching slowly. When he was a decent distance away,
he crouched a bit in front of the bench, so he would be at Lavi's level... jus a little lower, to not be intimidating. Sort of how he approached a cat. ]

...Are you all right?

[ripplesoflosttime]

[He's so tired of people asking him if he's okay. He's so tired of being here.

Why is he here?

He reluctantly lifts his head when he hears that voice, though. Someone's voice telling him that it's only right to at least respond to the people who talks to him.

If he liked them.

Lavi blinks once, looking at him.]

[He simply gives a nod in response.]
