what's happening here (mostly open)
Who: Hazel and Keito, Hazel and Pals (you)
What: pal stuff, yahoo answers
When: April 29 and/or later, I'm not picky
Where: around....
Warnings: well, the links contain questionably nsfw text, and the Jae-Ha thread contains definitely nsfw text, oops
APRIL 29.... hello Keito
[It's real nice of that Keito kid to have made all of these worksheets for Japanese study, really. Hazel was surprised the other day, when Jae-Ha suddenly delivered them to him with his usual Jae-Ha flourishing, but he's kind of touched by it too... Hooter Kid isn't so bad.
The problem with having a magical spoken understanding of a language but only a very basic written understanding of it is this: he still can't read some of this. How does he do practice worksheets if he can't read them??
He decides he might as well call Keito, because why not call someone he's only ever spoken to on the internet. That's fine. Ring ring, nerd.]

[So, as a (false) god with a domain of great things like love and youth and poetic inspiration, the prayers Hazel gets custom-tailored to himself sure are... as interesting as one would expect. Since he's been thinking for a few days now about what he should actually do as a (totally fake) god, taking into account his misgivings about the whole thing but still wanting to help normal people— well, he's decided to check Aengus' shrine every so often to see what he can do.
For the people. The people who really, desperately need help with love and youth, at least... The prayers manifest as plaques and handwritten tags hung on the shrine, so that anyone walking by can see exactly what he's dealing with, generally speaking.
Is this worth it... he doesn't even get paid, technically... He gingerly picks one up by its corner, not actually daring to pull it off the shrine in case that means he has to commit to it or something.]
Just one...? Mercy, I don't know what I did to deserve this.
[please..... this is harassment] The poor souls sure are in need...

[Or: if you catch him in a variety of stores, he may be:
1. wearing a leather jacket, and shopping for more leather jacketsHe sure is out and about...]
2. staring at a snack food and commenting that they Sure Are Tasteless Around Here
or
3. something else!! WILDCARD
no probably not but like someone should try
This is more of a hug, now, a little.]
Save talk like that for later or you'll turn me on. [Ah. The way he says it is like he's speaking any casual joke, so is he serious...? He'll leave that for Hazel to decide. One of his hands rests at the side of Hazel's neck that he isn't taking up space from, and the other rests above their heads.
Hmm, well, he's just going to pepper the side of Hazel's face with little slow kisses, to pass the time. They're relaxed, a little lazy, and he's into it but it's definitely not heated like earlier. He figures he better avoid that.]
well, hazel won't,
The rest of the kisses are cute, too - he's still pleasantly surprised by how well this is working out, enough that cooling off from before is a little disappointing, but still trumped by this lighter mood. So many little kisses...]
You're a sweetheart. [he says this earnestly, right after that lewd comment?? okay.] I'm gettin' swept off my feet.
sighs deeply
If I couldn't do even that, what kind of man would I be? [That's between two other kisses at his cheek bone, and now he's shifting to kiss even more of his face. Everywhere, these little things to show what he's feeling as his hand cups his face and he stays resting on top of him. Hmm, yes, this is more okay by the minute. He even curls back one of his legs a little behind him, as he's leaning up for some kisses to the forehead.
His hair is everywhere and this is entirely Hazel's fault.] This is the least you deserve.
jae-ha did this
When Jae-Ha moves up, Hazel draws his hand out of his hair - which sure is everywhere, nicely done - to slide both arms around his waist and hold him there instead. All he wants to do is stay just like this and hold Jae-Ha, whether they're kissing or not... ugh.]
I dunno how much more I can take before I'm wrapped around your lil finger. [How serious is he about this... it's a mystery. At least somewhat, which is exciting and also terrifying. Help.]
maybe
I don't know if this couch is meant for two men lying like this, but I think we're managing it quite well.
[He's so happy. He's so happy... his grin won't go away, even when he tries to be cool and calm. So he can only curl it down a little to try and hide it against the side of Hazel's, pressing one more kiss to the top of his head.]
yes
Which, honestly, would not contradict anything... But he'll think about that some other time. For now it's this, being here and happy about being here together. There's definitely something mutual here.]
Well, it's a mighty comfortable couch. I've got no complaints.
no subject
I think you could hold me a little tighter. [With that joking, he smiles against him. Mm... yes. It's nice like this. There are so many things he wants to say that he's not sure he can, right now, but when they're like this... They don't have to say much at all. Just hold each other.]
no subject
So Jae-Ha gets rewarded again for his jokes, that's all that's happening here... He smiles again, squeezing gently around his waist.] Anythin' else?
no subject
Just... [He shifts the tiniest bit himself, so that he's comfortable with all of his extra height up here on top of Hazel, one arm still wrapped around behind his neck as the other rests above them. He turns just enough to press a kiss to his cheek, lingering there even when he stops.] Stay with me.
[This is all he wants, really.]
no subject
Done. [that was easy!!] That's been the plan.
no subject
They'll lie here like this until they start to get sore, probably.]
no subject
[So, LATER... after a very pure evening without sin, they eventually have to go to bed. This is business as usual, though maybe slightly gayer than usual, and it's a very uneventful night.
But Hazel hasn't been a consistent sleeper in years, and that is also business as usual, but the ayakashi attack from earlier in the day only makes it worse. The dream he has he won't remember for long, only that there's so much running and no matter how hard he tries, his legs are leaden and the monster is gaining on him. He can't breathe - his lungs are on fire and so is everything else, even the monster, but that isn't right because that never happened—
Someone is hurt and Hazel should be there but he isn't, he's running, he's been running for so long that he doesn't know if he's heading toward or further away from that person, but it doesn't matter because his legs won't take him any further no matter how hard he tries. A bell tolls somewhere and abruptly he's awake, staring at his ceiling, breathing hard in the dark.
Okay, well. There have just been too many monsters today, and he's embarrassed to need someone else's presence but if he sits here in the dark he'll just picture bodies leftover from monster attacks, so— without actually getting up or anything, he reaches over and knocks on the wall separating his bedroom from Jae-Ha's.
Good.......morning....]
no subject
He shouldn't, since it's just a knock on the wall, but he's wide awake now and he clutches his chest as he pushes himself to sit up and stare towards the wall.]
Hazel...? [He wasn't just hearing things, right? Was Hazel doing something in there?]
no subject
Hazel is shaken, but not too shaken to knock again, more insistently. Come here, you immense dweeb.]
no subject
This time, he rushes over, not bothering with any of the lights as he reaches for Hazel's arm, instead.]
What happened?
no subject
Couldn't sleep. [A big surprise.] I'm a lil— rattled.
no subject
At first, he just frowns at Hazel's words. Rattled, about things he can't solve, probably, so what can he do? He does the only thing he knows that he can, moving to sit next to him on the bed and reaching to pull him closer to his chest. Come here.]
About what happened earlier?
no subject
Among other things. Y'know that wasn't my first go 'round with a monster. I've been... Well, it brought some old things back up.
[He's getting there... slowly. Hug him more.] I need ya to stay here for a bit.
no subject
As Hazel wraps his arms around him, Jae-Ha puts his arms comfortingly around him in return. One cups gently at the back of his head as the other settles at his back. Quietly, Jae-Ha waits until Hazel finishes speaking to say anything himself.]
I'll stay here for as long as you need me. [That's not even an issue, so they can brush that aside for now. As for what it brought up... He wants to know, of course, but pestering a guy who's clearly dealing with trauma or something similar is not a good idea, he thinks. He can wait for him to come to it slowly.
For now, he'll be quiet and hold him here as he's needed.] It's alright.
no subject
At least it's nice to hear "it's alright." Despite himself it makes him smile, if only for a moment.
So.] ...Monsters. I'm always gettin' chased and someone's always just been hurt— I'm rightly sick of it.
no subject
I'd say it's only fair to be sick of something like that. [That's a horrible scenario... He thinks about that sort of thing a lot, but he's not haunted by it, thankfully. So, what has Hazel dealt with that he is...?]
How did it start?
no subject
Or, hmm, is it time to share his sad backstory? He's quietly assured himself he would get around to it eventually, after everything else he's already told Jae-Ha, but it's still not an easy subject to talk about. He concentrates on those fingers in his hair, thinking.]
My parents were killed by monsters when I was real young. The priest at the church took me in and treated me like I was his own son... and sure enough, a monster got to him, too. [He wonders if he seems strange, sounding almost nostalgic while talking about this - but, well, this is the hand he was dealt. So.] There was nothin' I could do about it, and I don't remember much of the day, though I was there— I must've hit my head or somethin', tryin' to escape... but the monster never did catch me after he was killed.
Still, I haven't had a good night's sleep in ages, since then.
no subject
His other arm squeezes him even closer. He doesn't feel like saying anything like "I'm sorry to hear that" would help right now, so he hopes this motion speaks volumes in its place. It's no wonder Hazel had been so frozen dealing with that thing earlier.]
So that's why you're up so often. [Mm... He curls his fingers in his hair a little more as he leans his head closer.]
Is it why you killed monsters for a living?
no subject
Holding him close does help, regardless. Jae-Ha is here, solid and real, and that keeps Hazel's focus on this depressing stuff more... objective. Sort of. Enough.]
There was nothin' left for me there, like I've said. I knew a spell or two to take on monsters, so... [He shrugs; it seemed obvious at the time. And he was furious, but that's another story.] There were other places that needed the help.
no subject
He shifts and curls his fingers against Hazel's back.]
I won't let it happen again. [Hmm, that's a little more serious than he usually likes to let on. And a lot more promise than he usually gives out, when it's something uncertain like this, but— he wants to keep it. He'll work to keep it with everything. He pulls back just enough so that he can smile instead of having this serious face on in the dark. His hand slides out from Hazel's hair to rest at his shoulder, instead, squeezing comfortingly.]
All we need is a little practice and a few more techniques.
