38 - Power Palette Swap
Who: Everyone!
What: Power Palette Swap Event!
When: April 15th - April 18th 2017 (March 1st - March 8th 2019)
Where: Throughout the Far Shore and Near Shore
Summary: A couple of intrepid magical investigators unknowingly trigger some mishaps among the New Gods and Shinki.

For two weeks, the Ama investigators have been combing the compound where Cultists were dealt a heavy blow by the New Gods and Shinki. Among them, two in particular had been looking to move the Crystal that the cultists had in their basement, the stand that it sat on, and the dolls nearby. Combined with Waver's analysis, Judar succeeds in using his magic to transport the Crystal out of the basement.
As they manage that, a ripple effect washes over the New Gods and Shinki. There is a slight sense of Vertigo for some, a stronger wave for others, and then things start to change...

As It Happens: April 15

Aftermath: April 18

- Everyone was minding their own business. Perhaps they were on the Near Shore helping complete a prayer, or they were in the Far Shore attending to various godly duties. Regardless of where everyone was, it's around noon when some things start to change. A mild sense of vertigo happens to those who start to experience physical body changes, while a stronger wave seems to wash over the God or Shinki's skin if their powers are changing, or perhaps even a sudden stop-in-your-tracks deadening of feeling if being depowered entirely.
April 16
- Later in the afternoon, through no extra effort of the Crystal-movers, a loud noise like a subwoofer kicking into effect issues from within the Crystal, knocking anyone away who was near it by several feet. The one-shot noise reverberates in the ears of all New Gods and Shinki, triggering another change for some. At the Crystal, the black color that appeared when the former Goddess entered the Crystal fills more of it.
April 17
- Closer to 7pm, once more, the noise issues forth from the Crystal, louder and knocking people back several yards this time. The Crystal fills with black and grey. Some might swear they can see a face of the white-grey against all of the black, resembling an Inkblot / Rorschach test style picture.
Aftermath: April 18
- Around 10am, the black coils from within the Crystal settle down into more of whispy smoke, much harder to see in it. There's a slight tug in the direction of the Crystal regardless of where New Gods and Shinki stand, and with that pull, the change effects go away and all are returned to as they were.

In Summary:
- Swap powers with another character!
- Gain or lose powers!
- Swap physical appearances with another character!
- Use or abuse the changes while you can!
- Investigate who and what is responsible!
- Have fun~

Ebisu - ota - also known as "add why are you so tldr"
When the ripple hits throughout the Central District, one of the more notable places is within Temple Ebisu. As befitting of a temple run by the most popular God of Fortune, it's constantly busy, and, even as a reincarnated child, the god does as much as he can. He's right in the middle of speaking with some of his shinki about a recent prayer when suddenly-
Everything seems to tilt, swaying, and Ebisu steps away with one hand automatically rising to his chest. There's something- throbbing? Pulsing? It's right in his chest, and his eyes widen when he feels something warm and smooth to his fingertips. So caught off-guard, he doesn't notice how the schlera in his eyes are turning black, irises a vivid pink.... or even how parts of him start to flicker, glow, seeming to glitch and break apart as if he's some sort of hologram. Around him, almost every single one of his shinki jolt up to their feet amongst the clatter of chairs-
But they're too late.
Overwhelmed from- the change in power? the new instability of his body? simple surprise, all of the above?- Ebisu accidentally opens up a portal directly beneath his body. With nothing more than a faintly startled "Oh!", he falls right through.
So there's that happening.
All throughout both Shores, people are liable to experience one of two things:
The first is that they'll be approached by any number of Ebisu's shinki, possibly more than once. Ebisu has a rather large variety of shinki under his lead, from young businessmen to wisened miko, but people are most likely to recognize any one of his shinki who normally accompany him when he mingles with the newer gods. Every single one of them, no matter which, will frantically approach other gods and shinki with a single question: "Have you seen Ebisu!?"
Of course... Alternatively, no matter if people are going through difficulties of their own, they'll at least be joined by someone experiencing the same. Whether in their temples, out in the Near Shore, or anywhere, really, a portal will suddenly warp into existence, and a mildly familiar figure will stumble out. Familiar because it's very clearly Ebisu, with the structure of his face and that neatly styled hair that's now a little messier... But now, along with the gem in his chest and the change to his eyes, he seems to be, well.
He's still somewhat falling apart, with entire glowing spaces inbetween his limbs and the light flaking off of him almost in the pattern of vivid pink-purple. Somehow, he's changed from his usual neat vest and slacks outfit, instead with what looks somewhat like a kimono, the obi trailing off behind him in even more fragments that make it almost look like the flaring tail of a betta fish.. floating and all. "I apologize," he says, mouth opening to reveal rows upon rows of tiny sharp teeth. "But, would you happen to know where Add-sama is?"
[ooc: Let me know if you have a particular one of Ebisu's shinki to interact with, or if you want Ebisu to still have one of his legs. Since. He might break one off. He's also lost all of his baby teeth in exchange for shark teeth, so let me know if you and/or your character would be Not Cool with him asking if people just. want those now. Thanks for this weird nonsense, Add.]
B - April 16
Against all odd, Ebisu has somehow been found by all the people who needed to find him, and is doing... considerably better, now, although he can still be found wandering throughout the Far Shore. He's helped by the fact that he's now surrounded by Add's Dynamos, six fairly large drones which hover around and trail behind him. He seems to be doing his best to just... keep steady, combining it with flat out walking and, at other times, hovering just a little bit off of the ground.
It's highly possible that people could have seen him the other day without a chance to speak with him, as Ebisu might have popped through a portal and then stumbled through another one in the blink of an eye. In that case, they'll notice he's doing much better... Both on the portal front and the fact that he no longer seems to be falling apart as badly. Even his kimono seems more intact, although it still seems to float to some degree and the insides shimmer with that pink-purple.
Anyone who comes across the sight will get a smile directed their way, although it might not be as reassuring as usual with all the... teeth. "I apologize, am I getting in your way for any reason?" He's a little more focused on his walking than where exactly he's going; it's highly possible that he's wandered a little too near to someone's temple without paying attention.
Needless to say, he has his shinki near him at all times while he explores, often in pairs.
C - April 17
It's been for the last couple of days that Ebisu has been taking care to avoid his temple, just in case whatever has happened somehow spreads from him, or in case his lack of mastery over himself somehow causes his shinki harm. However, finding somewhere alternative to stay, while also experimenting with his powers, it's been... Well...
So. Uh. Sorry if you were trying to find some privacy, whether in a secluded place or just in the sanctuary of your own home, because there's suddenly a large purple eye suddenly just. opening out of nowhere along the nearest vertical surface.
What is definitely a man's voice seems to speak out from it (or perhaps just a nearby but hidden portal). "I apologize. I was looking for a private area."
[ooc: For this prompt, I'll be using the alt account

L-- Lord Ebisu...?!
[To say she's taken aback is an understatement. The state of his body - something Add generally takes measures to hide, at least around her - borders on the grotesque even without the ill memories she has of visiting the void that's so clearly influenced him. Her hands are clasped over her mouth in shock, but the question that follows should, to some extent, be expected.]
Oh, Goddesses, what did he do?

Ebisu isn't the only one avoiding everyone else at the temple. Should a shinki know what they looked like in youth? Would it be dangerous for someone to see her and begin to wonder what they looked like when they were younger? Ginia is not willing to find out if her appearance could trigger a fall in someone. That, and her heightened senses and gnawing hunger for blood makes being around people a little hard to handle.
The library is nice. It's quiet and cozy. She can avoid windows and work from her laptop. It's a good chance to look more into the borderline theory she found a few days ago. It's fine. Everything is fine.
Up until a giant opens up on a bookshelf. Were she capable of screaming, she would have. Instead, Ginia stumbles back as a voice speaks to her, nearly dropping all the books in her arms.
...It's weird, but there's something familiar about the voice. Ginia sets the books down and pulls out her phone, typing up and showing two short sentences.
"It's okay?

Honey, we broke the Far Shore - Judar, Iskandar, Waver
... it looks like we finally have some peace to study the damned thing in depth.
[Says Waver, who has been probably here before at the behest of Amaterasu's investigators to the people accompanying him. Is he pleased about the old gods having their paws over something containing souls... including potentially pieces of themselves? No sir, he is not.
He frowns at the ground, at the sigils engraved in rusted red.]
Bounded Field is still holding, but someone's tried to fuck with it.

Let 'em keep fucking with it.

[B - Around the Far Shore, OTA]
((A quick summary of how Add looks now that he's lost his spooky tech and void powers:
- adult appearance with long hair
- white schlera
- eyes are pinkish-red, don't glow, and don't shoot weird sparks or light trails or anything like that
- normal, non-sharklike teeth
- no glowing pink diamond in the middle of his chest
- no weird fragmentation/pixellation effects on his body
- no sextuplet of drones following him everywhere like usual
- still a scrawny out-of-shape nerd who should probably eat more))
B
I suppose you have an explanation for this?
[ Add wouldn't let himself be outside in such a vulnerable state. Usually. ]

Ginia is working on the Near Shore when the wave hits her, a lurching sense of disorientation that hits suddenly. She leans against a wall, still regaining her balance as her phone explodes with notifications from her coworkers at Ebisu's temple. Between the text messages and panicked messages in the group chats, she determines Ebisu has disappeared (Dissolved? Fell through a portal? What.) and to find him immediately.
Ddressed in the unmistakable suit of one of Ebisu's shinki, Ginia can be found running around the Far Shore. She's quick to flag down any god or shinki with a message on her phone (or a signed message):
Have you see Ebisu?
[II. April 15th - Far Shore, afternoon]
Illusions made in her vessel form are one thing, illusions created from a God's stolen power are another. An off-hand wish - "I wish I had a better vantage point" - is accompanied by the vague sensation nothing is impossible. On a whim, Ginia brings a hawk into reality, feeling the low drain of energy needed for focus and sustaining it. It is, however, an illusion, and she can't see through its eyes any more than she can with hers. But the realization is startling and she wills the bird to take flight, watching it soar into the air, disappearing when she loses focus.
...Okay, she can work with this.
Sea green fish swim through the air as Ginia plants herself on the top of a wall, her energy and focus on sustaining them. Sometimes they're a school of fish swirling around, sometimes they're a more direct message written low in the sky: Looking for Ebisu, information appreciated. -Ginia
[III. April 16th - Far Shore, before the second change]
Whether this is a temporary or a permanent change remains to be seen, but with newfound illusion powers, it'd be remiss not to get some practice in. Also uncertain what her powers might have on the rest of her temple, Ginia puts some space between herself and her coworkers. Find her wandering around the districts of the Far shore, accompanied by a menagerie of exotic animals following her on the ground and in the air. Is that a school of colorful fish swimming through the air around her? Sure is.
[IV. April 16th - Library, after the second change]
Oh.
Ginia winces as the deep boom echoes through her ears. The illusions surrounding her vanish and she's suddenly aware of three problems.
First, several feet shorter, her clothes no longer fit. The top is workable, but the pant legs are laughably long. Even hiking them up and adjusting her belt, they're a tripping hazard. Second, it didn't seem that hot earlier, but now the sun feels painfully searing on her skin and there's the immediate need to get to shade. Third, those are some incredibly sharp fangs in her mouth.
(It's not hard to figure out what she is. It's not hard to figure out who she needs to check on, but how to do so without tipping him off?)
The library is close by, it's a good place as any to hide out at. To anyone there, don't mind the kid looking like she's playing dress up in her parent's suit, looking very serious as she texts furiously on her phone.
[V. April 16th and 17th, library]
The library is a good place to hide at. It's quiet, it's safe from the sun, and there aren't too many people. But every sound is too loud, everything seems a bit too sharp or focused. Ginia's nose twitches whenever she smells someone nearby, the urge for blood gnawing at her stomach. At least she has new clothes, having arranged for a change of kid-sized clothes.
She sits at a table with a piece of paper with a rectangle cut out. There's a book open nearby with some diagrams and faint writing, but her focus is on the paper. Fingers in the halberd position, she traces her finger around a cut-out rectangle, signing a borderline into place once she finishes drawing around the shape. A borderline fills the rectangle, but the paper tears. Ginia frowns, face scrunching in annoyance.

IV
There's an unfamiliar man in his twenties closing in on the little girl. Because who else could it be? Joscelin had found himself suddenly grown up and feeling uncomfortably muted, and then he'd received a sudden, cryptic text from Ginia. Now he sees a little girl where an Amazon should have been and everything clicks into place.
Without the vampire curse, Joscelin looks, well, normal. He's fair skinned but doesn't carry the same deathly pallor as before, cheeks ruddy under their freckles. He's got stubble coming in. And while he isn't exactly tall, he's finally somewhat average height. The clothes he'd borrowed from Hakkai are still too big, however.
The whole sensation is utterly bizarre. Maybe even worse than yesterday, and he'd been a girl then.
He kneels beside the little girl, marveling at the reversal in their sizes, and chuckles wanly.
"Enjoying your second childhood?"

The wave hit him and he staggered slightly, feeling strange. Stranger still when he transformed. Apart from the very first time he had woken in cat form he always had to consciously shift forms. But now he was a cat, perhaps he had done it by instinct.
That lurching feeling had been strange, he thought about heading back to the temple when he saw Ginia. The words played on the phone sounded strange, not quite clear. But he got the gist. Ebisu. Her god? She had lost him?

The sound and odd feeling faded and he continued walking, pausing as he saw the child. She was almost recognisable but he couldn't put his finger on where he had seen her before.
Then he took in the clothes, far too big for her but the uniform was one he knew. Was she one of Ebisu's shinki? Had he seen her around his temple?

April 18th - Closed to Joss
First step, changing. A good thing she kept onto her suit in preparation for a shift back. There's no saving the pants, but the shirt is only slightly stretched. It's fine, she can buy replacements.
Second, a message to her temple to let he know she's back to normal, checking in on Ebisu's state, then a notice she needs to make some returns.
Finally, a message to Joss: Everything okay on your end? I can bring back your ring.

ota, will match style
Joscelin had been in the process of drying off after a shower when the change hits. A high pitched scream comes from his room, followed very shortly by Joscelin in a bathrobe, clutching at the several feet of brown curls that seem to have suddenly sprouted from his scalp. At first glance, it seems like that's the only thing that's changed. Joss's features are a little finer than before, perhaps, eyelashes a little longer, and the stammering, panicked voice may be a slightly higher timbre, but winding up with hip-length hair seems like a light blow compared with what other changes the denizens of the Far Shore are dealing with today.
But Joscelin knows better. Because something else has changed too.
"...I-I'm a...a...girl."
ii - Day 1, Around the Far Shore
Joscelin wants to hide. It's too embarrassing, being seen like this. He's a girl. A stupid little girl with masses of brown curls that are already hopelessly tangled even though he's only had them two or three hours at this point. He wants to hack them off. Maybe Ginia will know what to do. She's a girl, isn't she? Surely she can talk him through this disturbing series of events and help him find a cure for
girly cootieshis sudden femininity. He puts on a raincoat despite the sunny weather, piling the hair under the hood to hide it, and sets off for Ebisu's temple.
Too bad he's waylaid in the journey.
iii - Day 2, Around the Far Shore
The cure finds him even without Ginia's help. Too bad there are other consequences.
Startled, he clutches his ears at the noise, and as he does so the second change kicks in. Pro: the hair is gone. Pro: He's definitely a boy again. Pro? He's more than a foot taller.
Con: his feet are screaming in shoes several sizes too small and he can feel seams burst all over his too-tight clothes. Because Joscelin Fitzthomas, who died when he was ten, spent the next 670 years terrorizing the world as a very small vampire, and then was reincarnated as a dead spirit whose sole purpose is to serve a god, has inexplicably grown up.
Once he's scrambled to doff his shoes and most of the clothing, he realizes that his age isn't the only thing that's changed this time. He feels utterly muted. The world is too quiet, and someone seems to have turned down the colors. Stranger still? The hunger. It's gone. His constant companion has left and he's confused by its absence.
He sits down by the road to puzzle through these developments, splitting what's left of his trousers. Anyone traveling through the Central District can find him there, a scrawny (and mostly naked) young man in his mid-twenties with wavy brown hair, freckles, and a healthy bloom in his cheeks for the first time since he died in 1349.

Romeo | OTA
16th and onwards
Once Romeo had gotten over the shock of all of a sudden being big he found it was not actually too bad at all! Though he hoped that whatever had happened to make him this way, and everyone else go strange as well stopped soon he didn't mind it too much!
He was tall! All of a sudden he could see things and reach things that he had never been able to reach before. He was stronger too!
He could be found around the far shore, he's mostly looking out for people who might need help. Being a grown up all of a sudden is not as bad as some of the things that have happened and if he spotted anyone looked worried or scared or even just confused he would approach them.
"Are you alright? Do you need help?"
Romeo's constant enthusiasm sounds a little strange coming from an adult voice, deeper and odd even to his own ears.
no subject
The voice that comes from behind Romeo is also deeper, unfamiliar. Joscelin has aged well in the last twenty-four hours, he thinks, filled out a bit despite his skinny frame. But the freckles are still there, and enough of the boy remains about the man that his identity is not too difficult to grasp.
“Romeo, is that you?”

pyrrha nikos | ota
[ pyrrha's on her morning jog, careful not to stray too far from the serapis temple in case of an emergency. it's not until she's on her way back when she feels a sense of vertigo overcome her. she stops in her tracks and groans, putting her head in her hands--the sensation only lasts for a few moments before she's completely back to normal.
well. almost. something's not quite right.
she notices that she's now in a new outfit--something black with black gloves? and it's very hot. also, there's something on her head obscuring her vision. ]
That was...strange.
[ and for those of you who know data roxas? that's definitely not his voice. ]
APRIL 16 ONWARD
[ pyrrha is getting adjusted to being in her new body, though she certainly hopes the effects won't last forever. especially since her appearance is akin to that of her lost friend's. it's upsetting.
pyrrha's decided to change out of the black suit, and has opted for something a little more comfortable. though...the outfit does seem a little loose on data roxas' body. pyrrha is a lot taller than him, after all!
she can be found in a number of different places, though if one does mistaken her for data roxas (or any of his lookalikes), then she'll shift around a little awkwardly before speaking up. ]
I'm sorry, but it looks like there's been a mixup. I'm Pyrrha Nikos.

Caster (Cú Chulainn) | wildcard OTA + some closed prompts
[ Caster for the duration of the event, is looking like Cú Chulainn Alter aka Berserker. ]
「 ooc: I can't find enough of brain in me for open prompts here (sadly). So just leave me a blank comment/any preferences and I'll write you a starter! Alternatively wildcard me with something. feel free to hit me up privately via PM or plurk if you'd want to plan something! I'm okay with almost everything. 」
15th April; for Zelda
Option 1: check if you got his cool powers (sadly no, no spear for you Caster. again!)
Option 2: ruin his reputation
Option 3: get drunk because option 1, and because the other you for sure did option 2 while looking like you.
So Zelda appears with a visit somewhere around the Option 3 starts to take place. Caster is definitely not drunk yet, but he, uh, had some drink and thus he manages to almost forget about his strange affliction. Thus when the knocking to the door is hit, one of the dogs (Pal, it's always Pal) is the first one to run to the door. Caster is there right next opening the door and readying to greet the guest. ]

17th evening (for Edge)
He and Edge were training when it happened, the noise knocking them back several feet this time. But unlike the last few days something seemed to change, Suzaku didn't know what but as he regained his balance he felt... different. In a way he couldn't put his finger on.] Are you alright, Edge?
no subject
...Oh no, what do you think Saber did?
[Can anyone blame him for thinking "loud disastrous noise = trouble from their god"?]

[Shun is out in the Near Shore when the strange feeling initially washes over him - he has to lean against something to stop himself from falling over when the vertigo hits. But it wears off after a few moments, and nothing appears to have changed initially, so he keeps going about his day as normal.
It's when he's back in the vicinity of his temple, feeding his vultures near one of the pathways through Central District, that something starts to irritate at him, like something within him is trying to assert attention to itself. Focusing on it only seems to make it worse, but ignoring it isn't helping either, so Shun figures he might as well get whatever it is over with, and turns his attention inwards for a few moments--
--and then immediately has to yank his shirt up most of the way as a pair of flecked falcon wings explode out of his back with barely a moment of warning. On one hand, at least it looks like it was bloodless...but on the other, Shun still looks severely unimpressed when he figures out how to move one of them around enough to see what it is.]
I've seen some stupid powers here, but this is just unnecessary. [He can fly anyway, what is even the point.]
--
[b: 16th]
[By the next day, Shun has at least figured out that what even the point is would be that the wings help him fly a little bit faster than he'd normally be able to as a god, so he supposes he can live with that. It does mean, however, that he has to figure out how to use them. Which means flying low across various parts of the Far Shore, shirtless because he hasn't bothered figuring out how he's supposed to adjust his clothes to this development just yet. His scarf is still around his neck, though, and conveniently looped and loosened to be covering most of his neck and upper back for reasons best known to himself.
He's mid-flight when that reverberation hits, and he flips over in the air, folding his wings a little so he slows down enough that he's not risking accidentally running into something with the backwards flight. While it doesn't switch the power on him, it's still pretty unnerving, and his eyes narrow as he finally comes to a stop.]
What the hell is going on...?

[[I admittedly don't have much in the way of ideas for this event, so if you want to do something more specific, feel free to hit me up at
b
[Garry himself had started the morning out with long pointy ears and... admittedly not much else, although he had noted he felt a little more fit. After some bewilderment, he'd adjusted to it well enough, and had decided he'd spend the day asking about what had happened.]
[However, now, he no longer has to deal with the pointy ear problem. Rather... His outfit is now the problem, which he's trying to use to cover his front up a little more. It's not that he's against the idea, exactly, but just... He wasn't expecting to wear this little???]
[He's also dropped a sword at his feet, but Garry isn't really paying much mind to that.]

[Even in the middle of a crowded sidewalk in the Near Shore, Saber stands out. Though that may be partially due to him waving enthusiastically as people stream around him.]
You're looking quite out of sorts today. That's unusual!
[Quite the contrast to Saber, who's as obnoxiously cheerful as ever.]

[ After going around collecting information on the current situation and who was swapping with who. Elfnein was at the reference desk in her temple writing things down when she ended up nodding up. When she snapped back awake her body ended up looking like an adult. Clearly she had swapped with someone while she was sleeping. ]
2. April 17
[ Still in an adult looking body, Elfnein is now on the hunt for who she swapped with. Which meant asking everyone if they knew if someone suddenly had the body of a child. ]
Excuse me, have you seen anyone that had a sudden age shift?
3. Wild card
(ooc: if you have any ideas you want to thread let me know.)
April 17th
[Ginia is on route to the library, an umbrella raised against the sun. She pauses and looks up at the adult speaking to her. There's something familiar about the woman and it takes a moment to place the voice and hair.]
Elfnein? [A beat.] It's me, Ginia.

[ Of all the inconvenient times for weird things to happen, it had to be while he was in the middle of a tutoring session. There was a lot of staring, on his student's part, before D2 realized what was going on. And then- well, he cut the lesson short and ditched. His student would forget about it happening for the most part anyway- but- he's glad he's got a belt in these pants.
He slips back to the Far Shore, and starts to restlessly circle the area.
What is he supposed to do? He's, he looks like Alex why is he- What The Hell? What is he supposed to do and what- has the same thing happened to Alex? What sort of messed up shit is the Heavens up to now?
Even though D2's having a slight freak-out he's effectively taking a rain check on all the tutoring sessions left for the day. But then what? He would go to the gym to vent but, he feels weird and uncomfortable about getting changed while he looks like Alex... Man how it this supposed to work? He could go for a run but- nope.
As a result his gods will all feel how unsettled he is, while he (or rather, Alex in strange fashion) can be seen aimlessly wandering around the Far Shore, with a visibly shaken look on his (her) face and hand locked around a set of black military dogtags.
And... muttering in rapid English and German? ]
April 16 aka just genderbend
[ To be honest it's more a relief than unsettling. He at least doesn't look like Alex any more, even if he's still apparently a woman. The biggest issue wasn't turning into a woman, it was turning into a friend, into family. He never did manage to settle down, while he still looked like Alex.
He does need to let out steam after the while thing between yesterday and earlier today, so he's more or less disappearing for the first part of the change. He's hitting up some of the gyms he frequents.
But then he's going shopping. Well, trying things. He might as well, right? He doesn't know how long this will last or what is next in store, so he's intent on enjoying himself.
Changing gender has not changed his fashion sense, it's as terrible and mis-matched and strange as ever, but he's going to try everything- so things like puffy pink skirts matched with gothy tops and weird garish caps (and of course the tags, he never takes those off) is not a strange thing to come across. Well. It's not strange if you know him. If you don't it might be. ]
April 17 aka the totally nerfed (and still 63'd)
[ One of the things that D2 does every single day without fail is practicing his spells. He definitely doesn't practice the Song in public (he's got no issues embarrassing himself with his absolutely terrible singing voice, but that's for fun) but the other spells he has no issues with working on in public. So he (currently a she, still, so he thought there was no differences from before) quickly notices that he's unable to use his spells.
He instantly crashes.
This too?
Thanks, now--- Can he go bury himself?
If he doesn't have spells, then what good is he? He can't fight ayakashi by himself, which already has him feeling incompetent and worthless, but if he can't use spells then what meaning is there even for him to even exist at all?
So D2 just... stops.
He hides away in a corner of a park, clutching so tight to his tags that they cut gashes into his palm, and there he just, remains. ]
April 18
[ Once he's back to normal the most important thing to check is his powers and, well... He's so relieved he could cry.
Which he does.
He doesn't usually cry, but now he can't control his emotions and he curls up in the middle of the road, burying his face against his knees in a half-assed attempt to hide it. ]
(( ooc: Alex!D2 tags will come from
icons will happen, ssshh, R63!D2 fromapril 18
[ here she is, in all her back-to-normal majesty as well
A spygoat rolls up with a tissue box for D2. No one will know if this is from Maa-ster or an independent intiti-maa-tive.
Should he be in any condition to look up, however, he will notice that Hibiki....has brought along. An actual knight's shield. Just in case. Her last experience with this sort of situation has imprinted itself deeply upon her psyche. She has to...she has to move him somewhere private.
BEFORE THE ANIMAL COMES. ]

[ You're tiny when you're 16, at least when you're usually in your mid-twenties. Obi is very confused but you know what? He's not going to be bothered by it.
He does need to get used to his reach changing, though, so Obi is going to bounce across buildings and trees and any other potential perches, and he's going to find more secluded corners to train with his daggers and other things. He can at one point be found making a bow more fit for children (okay, half-adults) to use while the one he usually uses and has hidden away somewhere, and he's practicing with that too.
He prefers just taking things as they come, he likes to just nap a hit here and there, but he doesn't feel safe not having complete control over his own scope, and needs to settle the unpleasant feeling that his new shorter stature, arms and legs cause.
He's going to be very watchful about approaching people, tense up and send wary gazes their way (some people make him relax as soon as he knows who it is, but that's a privileged few still).
At other points, he will find some spots he usually can't nap in because he's usually a little bigger, and nap there. Crevices and cracks and peace and quiet and maybe a little sunlight, such nice places. ]
16th hydrant obi
[ Did you expect to go through your day dry? Only if you can avoid the sudden spray of water that comes out of nowhere, with no warning.
It really was an accident. Obi doesn't mean to spray someone with water, he was just trying to get a handle on his powers. His powers. He discovered it by accident, too. He can use water, control water, create water; it's cool.
It's less cool to reverse-waterfall yourself into trees and get bruises and stuff but, he'll deal, he's sturdy and can take care of any wounds he gets no problem. At least he somehow manages to avoid concussions even if he doesn't care if he gets another scar or two as a result of his own recklessness. Eh, his arm won't fall off or anything. ]
17th horse obi
[ Obi may have a grace about him (like a wildcat, that sort of grace) but that's normally. When he has two legs. Not when he's got four.
It's surprisingly difficult to keep track of four legs.
And then there's the wings.
But he sort of, wants to stab someone with his brand new horn, that would be neat-
Crap what just blew up? Where did that fire come from? Why is this spot snowing? What is up with the sparkles on those clothes? Why is that happening? And that? (All sort of things happen as a result of Obi not knowing what the hell he's doing, feel free to make shit up.)
Was that him? (Yes. Yes it was. Mistress Celestia's kind comes with built-in magic it seems.) ]
18th just obi
[ You know what? He's a bit disappointed. Not with not being
a kidsixteen or a pony any more, but with the loss of those cool powers, or the magic that came with Mistress' species and kind of horse.Obi is upset but it looks more comical...
And it only lasts for a while. He's gonna go look for some food or a sunny spot. ]
