The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.

In anticipation of the latest round of new arrivals, Heaven has partnered with the new gods and shinki to organize a very helpful informational reception.
Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are, should they allow it, guided kindly towards Bishamon's temple. In that vast complex they are brought to a traditional-style dojo. The gods and shinki are free to take their time during this day to learn about the details of their new life from Amaterasu's shinki or from the many veteran new god and shinki volunteers.
God Training
- Unfortunately, Bishamon is away on business today, but her shinki as well as Amaterasu's ever-present shinki and any volunteering gods will offer information regarding being a god and what is expected of them, such as prayers. It is encouraged that gods group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Newly arrived gods are still expected to communicate to their shinki the information* they themselves receive as orientation when they arrive.
Shinki Training
- Various volunteers are stationed around the building, passing out helpful informational pamphlets. There are many shinki, including Bishamon's and Amaterasu's, who will be more than happy to train in using the borderline as well as offering a lecture on the basics of what is expected of a shinki and the importance of teamwork with other shinki and with gods. It is encouraged that shinki group up together to practice what they've learned and discuss their ideologies.
Physical Training
- The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern. There are volunteers here as well, willing to assist in basic training. (Or even more advanced sparring, depending on the volunteer.) This is vital for gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes.
It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.
Rest and Refreshments
- There is a garden off the dojo that is free to be used for rest and conversation.
Should anyone wander outside the designated area, some shinki of Bishamon's will attach themselves to them and not leave them be until they return to the dojo.
There is a refreshments table provided. It is covered with light snacks and various kinds of hydrating drinks. There is a little sitting area set up for people to relax in after they have finished their training or if they're just taking a quick break to cool down. Even hand towels are provided by Bishamon's helpful shinki. The Heavens wants everyone to stay in good condition!

[ Soon your assigned god would come to you; that's what the group of newly arrived shinki were told. Hannah couldn't quite name what the connection was like, for it seemed close to something she should know but couldn't put a name to. Yet it was there, and while part of her wished to follow through, there was something else in the air. Yet another thing she couldn't quite pin down, but it tightened up her nerves enough to not go far from where the shinki had been dropped off on Bishamon's grounds.
Honestly, she could smell quite a lot, like there was a bunch of chocolate wandering around but the aroma of it did nothing for you. Not even pinging a craving. It's that other 'sour' or dire scent that enforced her lack of interest to what was wandering around in such a raw and vulnerable form.
And so, at the top of the stairs stood the 'young woman' with long hair and dressed in the fashion of a noble's maid. A stranger, but in no unfamiliar kind of garb for what her kind tended towards. Hannah's mismatched blue eyes stayed sharp, locking on when that scent and connection seemed to line up. She was meant to greet him, but 'master' and 'my lord' didn't seem appropriate. There was only one thing that actually felt right on her tongue. ]

[ It's pretty clear which part of the pamphlet Hannah was currently reading over. Yet with her logic, it'd only fit as suck if it went against your first god's orders. The traditions and preferences of the realm had no such importance to her, even if her god seemed to resent their current arrangement. Folding the pamphlet to tuck away into the apron's pocket, the blue-eyed demon followed the instructions on how to form your hand.
The position is correct, yet she doesn't seem pleased. ]
This is nothing like a halberd.
Physical Training (Open)
[ While familiar with halberds, along with the other dulled blades that were provided for this practice session, the long-haired maid continued down until reaching the guns. Each one was inspected, carefully and familiarly checking the clip. It was almost a confirmation of the fact that these were non-lethal. Not surprising- they weren't planning for anything past what this gathering was for. It's not until she settles at a Winchester pistol that the weight is checked in the palm of her hands.
A smile sets on her purple lips. ]
Please keep clear of the range. Firing.
[ It was only proper to call out her shots on such public grounds, right? While these were simply rubber-tipped, her aim wasn't exactly one for practice on the dummies. She wasn't focusing on the targets' bullseye, but aimed and shot as if there were a person at the end. The heart, spleen and right lung, with the kind of humanoid target she imagined. ]

But this time is slightly different. This time, he could sense that someone here was waiting for him. An odd way to inform an individual that they'd finally been assigned a partner. Honestly, a written announcement would have proved more helpful, in his opinion. But, at least this time he was not going to have to go it alone.
Except, that along with that initial feeling was something else. Something that made him uneasy and suspicious. He hoped that the two feelings he was sensing weren't about the same person. Unfortunately for him, that's disproved moments later when he hears a young woman speak behind him. Hannah Annafellows. He knew that name. He'd written it far too many times on that report Sutcliffe had failed to fill out properly. He hopes to death that it was a mere coincidence and that this feeling is his imagination. But William T. Spears never seemed to come out on top with such things.
He turns, eyes immediately narrowing when he sees the familiar woman - no, demon. ]

[On top of everything Lucina has learned today, finding one person - one shinki, as the messenger explained - should not be difficult. She had woken up in a home not her own, nothing like anything that existed in Ylisse or any surrounding country, to find herself a God of all things, and in more ways than one; she highly doubted her mother picked her name because of a goddess of childbirth from a pantheon completely foreign to her world. She had been told it was her duty, now, to take on the prayers and wishes of humans, to fight malevolent spirits, that Falchion was not enough to cut them down, though it remained at her side. That only her shinki could give her the strength to fell them for good, and that the shinki must never be made to think of their past, lest calamity befall them.
It was a lot to take in, and a lot harder to believe, but...Ylisse's future was secured. Lucina did not have a destination in mind, beyond "somewhere", and though she is wary, a place with a home to call her own is not a bad one to stay in. So when she is told to come and find her shinki at heaven's meeting hall with the promise of training afterward, she wastes no time.
But...would she just know who this mysterious partner of hers is once she saw them? Would they know her? What should she say, what did they know of this world that was not told to her? As it happens, when she arrives at the meeting hall, Lucina sort of...sticks to the wall, glancing at the people who mill about, hands behind her back and at rest. Though her stoic demeanor is sincere, there is also a nervousness to it in the way she shifts her weight and looks, and looks...]

[Eventually, Lucina does come to the temple of Bishamon, somewhat more relaxed now that she has found Prompto. It is an incredible relief to at least know who her partner in this unusual world is, though she would have preferred if they could have stayed together for training...but perhaps they could work on something later. They did seem to have plenty of time, after all, and for now, it was important she understand her new, unusual powers.
It's very likely that you'll be approached by this young woman with blue hair, clearing her throat to catch your attention.]
Pardon the intrusion, but might I ask...if you would be willing to help me. I am new here, and I've been given a power that I cannot make use of on myself.

[Oh, good! Something Lucina understands: fighting with swords. She's shed her cape, armor, and outer tunic to practice unencumbered, and her sheathed sword has been set aside in favor of one of the wooden practice ones. She seems fairly focused on practicing her forms and movements, but she will stop if asked, and may even take up offers to spar if you're interested.]

[Well, this has certainly been a day, hasn't it? When Lucina finally feels worn out, she retires to the garden, grateful for the shade of a tree and a cup of cold water. She sits quietly, cheeks somewhat pink, eyes tired yet alert as she watches the other gods and shinki about. She doesn't seem...against the idea of company, if you feel like chatting it up with a random stranger.]

Prompto's reading and re-reading the pamphlet they gave him, last three fingers drumming nervously against the back of the paper. He's been waiting, but it doesn't say how long he has to wait, or who this 'god' is going to be, or what they'll be like. It also doesn't say who he is. All he has is a name and the knowledge that whatever he used to be, that's all over now. In a way, it's almost a relief--but actually, mostly it just makes him feel lost and anxious. He rocks on his feet, watching visitors come and go, other ghosts like him finding the gods they're going to serve.
It's warm enough that he's set his jacket aside, and the character on the inside of his wrist--just opposite the other mark, the one that's so disquieting to look at--tingles a little as he hears a voice.
Prompto looks, and it's a girl.
He blinks, dumbfounded for a moment, and then looks at the brochure again, as if looking for some kind of confirmation one way or the other that She Is the One. Finally, he gulps, shoves the brochure in his back pocket, picks up his jacket and makes himself approach her.]

I'm so lost.
[Prompto murmurs it to himself more than anything else, sticking to the edges of heaven's meeting hall like he's nervous about drawing attention to himself, quietly wringing his hands. Nothing here is familiar, but he doesn't remember anything that could be familiar, and it's kind of freaking him out. All he knows is his name and that he died, somehow. Not something he wants to think too much about.
He watches the other gods and spirits, hoping to find someone that looks like they know what they're doing so he can figure out what he should do himself.]

[Lucina found him, and he feels a hundred times better. Still existentially uncertain, but at least he's got somewhere to go and someone he belongs to. And she's nice! And pretty! And really, totally awesome.
He kind of wishes he could've stayed with her as she practiced using her cool goddess powers--apparently, this is as new to her as it (probably?) is to him--but at least splitting up means he can't embarrass her like he's embarrassing himself.]

[ There is a small boy seated nearby - or at least someone easily mistaken for a small boy. His feet are barely touching the ground after all but he's trying not to swing them. Besides, his attention is elsewhere: focused on the mass of gods and shinki. He's also dressed too formally for a child: a vest, tie and dress shirt with a long coat folded neatly beside him.
Though if anyone approaches, he's going to slip off his seat and approach, making sure to fold his coat over his arm. He nods, a polite little dip of his head once before speaking. ]

[Shun is decidedly not new, but he is one of the most prone to making himself available to train any newcomers who wouldn't know one end of a weapon from the other. Or, in this case, one end of their body, because he's currently doing quite a display of acrobatics between a small cluster of blocks and beams, flipping and leaping between them in smooth, practiced motions.
If anyone comes within a few feet of the area, Shun pauses in his motions, landing neatly and looking whoever it is over. There's something piercing about his gaze, like he's trying to read anything he possibly can out of them with just that.]

[Later in the day, as ever, Shun can be found either beating down a very unfortunate training dummy with his bare hands and very precise, calculated motions, or practicing some sword techniques on another, equally unfortunate target. It's likely obvious to anyone experienced in combat that while he's very familiar and skilled with the hand-to-hand, his swordfighting lacks experience and polish and still skews a bit towards brute force. But he's getting better with each training session - there's no shortage of skilled sword users here to spar with, and he refuses to give up until he becomes capable with it.]

[Despite his general intent to do as much work as he's physically capable of without literally keeling over, Shun does have the sense to pause for water breaks on occasion. He is, however, avoiding the main refreshments table, instead wandering a little restlessly throughout the temple gardens, eyes on every person he comes across.
There's some pruned flower stems lying by the sides of some of the plant bushes, most of them some degree of dead or blemished. Shun picks a bundle of them up initially planning to decompose them with his powers so they at least do something productive, but a particularly loud clatter of weapons together makes him hiss quietly and move on. Part of the reason he's out this far is to get some peace and quiet.
Eventually, he settles on the edge of a fountain, half a bottle of water next to him and his eyes still in near-constant motion over his surroundings. His fingers are moving restlessly, but as a result of what he happened by earlier, there's a small bundle of now hale and healthy ranunculus flowers of various colours next to him.
Without paying any apparent attention at all to the flowers, his fingers continue weaving three of them into a flower crown. He does pause in the movements if anyone approaches him, though.]
If you're going to complain about the flowers, they were already cut. [...And all the other already-cut flowers around are dead. Not suspicious at all.]

That's what the pamphlet had said to do, and so that's what Luke was going to do. He wasn't sure what exactly a 'god' was in the first place, but he wasn't about to ask everyone present what it was or if they were the 'god' he was supposed to be waiting for. They would find him eventually.
In the meantime, the pamphlet also said shinki could draw some sort of 'borderline', so he figured he'd try that out. Shape fingers into a halberd--whatever that was--and draw a line. In the air? Maybe.]

[Things Kija is Utterly Over: meeting interesting new people and, essentially, enslaving them. On top of everything else, it simply does not seem to work out. Even if it were not cruel, not essentially entirely unfair, it does not even seem to be a workable strategy. The point, never something he was clear on, is absolutely eluding him.
